AJ McCarron’s girlfriend steals BCS spotlight
While Alabama’s quarterback threw for 254 yards and 4 touchdowns in the national championship game, it was his prowess off the field that caught the attention of ESPN play-by-play announcer Brent Musburger.
Cameras spotted AJ McCarron’s girlfriend, Katherine Webb, in the stands and Musburger, 73, suddenly became smitten.
“You quarterbacks, you get all the good-looking women,” Musburger said. “What a beautiful woman.”
“Wow!” analyst Kirk Herbstreit chimed in.
“If you’re a youngster in Alabama, start getting the football out and throw it around the backyard with Pop,” Musberger added.
Webb, who also happens to be Miss Alabama and a student at Auburn, became a sudden Twitter sensation going from about 530 followers to more than 90,000 followers before Alabama scored its 42nd point.
Among @_KatherineWebb new followers was Arizona Cardinals defensive linemen Darnell Docket, who tweeted his phone number to her.
This morning, Docket sent a tweet that included an image of Webb, McCarron and himself with the words:
I was always taught to share your blessings!

Google “A.J. McCarron’s mom”. Checkout her bikini pics and the shot of her in the red dress! Women love the attention and fame that athletes and men with power/wealth bring. Even the QB’s own mother is drawn to it by flaunting her body for the camera. Don’t blame Musberger.

Be professional. I expected more out of Kirk Herbstreet, I’m dissapointed. Brent Musberger has a history of saying stupid stuff and apologizing later. Then if you can’t be professional, be respectful to the women in your family, and another man’s wife or girlfriend. People are just rude. So to the young men watching, this is not the way.

The media like all reality tv pushed her on everybody. They showed her 5 times and yea she is hot but so are the alabama cheerleaders! Bet there was also other pretty girls in the stands but espn created her.

Musberger spoke the truth….Bama pounding ND…what’s left to talk about? All men watching the game agreed with him…..No? Some of you girls are probably just a little jealous.
Musberger and his camera crew probably saved a million viewers from changing the channel. The game was over the first quarter.
