One of the Florida Gators’ best-known fans is ripping into the team after its stunning 33-23 loss to Louisville in the Sugar Bowl Wednesday night.
Chipper Jones took to Twitter to express the frustration that many Gator fans are feeling after watching Florida fall behind 24-3 in the first half and 33-10 in the second half before falling 10 points short in a late comeback attempt.
“Never seen a more undisciplined football team in my life. As a life long UF fan, that was embarrassing,” Jones wrote Thursday.
And then: “I can handle getting beat, but to show ur [fannies] in front of the whole country? Sure hope the inmates ain’t running the asylum down there!”

I sure wish Chipper was reporting in Feb. because I don’t see the Braves offense any better without him. Look at the won/loss record when he was not in the lineup. Way too many strikeouts in the lineup this year.

Oh is it so sweet every time a Gator or Dawgie gets their butt kicked They are like a bunch of little cry babbies!!! They don’t have the guts to stand up and admit they got beat by a better team. Just remember one thing cry babbies. The SEC might be a good conference but neither of you two schools made it that way. Stop riding on the Alabama and the LSU’s coat tail. They are class teams and together neither one of you jerk schools can hold a candle to either of them. I would not pull for either of you cry baby schools even if yawl were playing a grammar school in Iraq. Mark is a super nice and smart coach but that idiot Florida coach should be coaching a grammar school team. The reason I have never pulled for either Ga or Fl. is because of you STUPID BIG MOUTH fans. Come on now, cry us 96 tears. No, I am not a GT fan so get the heck off that even before you start on that school to divert attention away from the # 1 & # 2 Cry Baby schools. I must say I hope I live to see the day GT Kicks the Dawgs butts all the way back to the slums in Athens Ga. Oh, by the way, I hear you doggies will start playing Clemson next year. I bet you really hate to take some of those tough LITTLE schools off your schedule to have to play them. To you two cry baby schools ,, Now. Go get some more tissue’s. Sniff,, Sniff,,, Oh my goodness Sniff,, Sniff,,,, HA,,HA,,HA,,HA,,HA,, Roll Tide!!!

These bowl games have outlived their significance. Hell, UF couldn’t even sell their ticket allotment. The only thing that will make bowls relevant again is an 8-way playoff system. That will generate serious interest and serious jack.

Observations from an outsider:
* Florida was/has been WAY overrated all year. Just because in the SEC…..
^.LSU sure shot blanks in passing up the Louisville QB
* ESPN announcers pretty much said Louisville didn’t even belong on the same field as Florida during pre-game comments
* The Gators were extremely undisciplined
Yep, an enjoyable night for most of the nation.

As a lifelong dogs fan I find great comfort in watching last nights meltdown debacle of the Gators.
As far as Chipper Jones comments, hey, he’s entitled to his opinion and I find it right on every comment. Somebody up above said since he’s getting divorced he’s a bad guy and “not the sharpest too in the shed” yet I imagine there’s several of my fellow commenters that are divorced. Are they, too, quote dulls tools in the shed? Me thinks perhaps the gentleman that made that comment is probably legitmately the only real “tool” in that particular shed and I ain’t talking about pliers, saws and carpet knives.

Lay off of Chipper for stating the obvious. I for one am glad he was a lifelong Brave and I respect that this Florida native is upset with the performance of a team he’s always been a fan of.
And for you Georgia Tech fans… Middle Tennessee State. That is all.

Easy to see why Georgia had such a good year. SEC is really weak this year. Georgia looked bad against a poor Nebraska team, SC barely beat an average Michigan team, LS PUKE vs Clempson, Miss St. Just saying Ole Miss loses, Alabama loses, but A&M wins. Weak, Weak…..

If weak means 6 national championships in a row, I guess the SEC is weak. Florida lost because they’re a team of undisciplined thugs and LSU lost because of poor coaching.

MLS,
you talk about the class of the SEC being Alabama or LSU? LSU got beat by Clemson in their bowl game (poor game management) but they still lost. Alabama needed a tipped pass to get into the National Championship Game after getting beat by Johnny Football and Texas A&M. Alabama fans are as disillusioned as UGA and Gator fans are. Every Bama fan I know lost their minds when A&M beat them and I’m sure you did too. Now that Bama is in the NCG, you want to act all high and mighty. I hope bama plays better in the NCG than they did in the SECCG or it will be a long night,

The SEC is a joke, the ACC owns them and made LSU quit.
Florida had NO BUSINESS being in a BCS game, the most poorly coached, under-prepared squad I’ve ever seen, and that is coming from someone who has first-hand witnessed Paul Johnson’s squads in bowl action.
As Taylor Martinez said, Nebraska was clearly better than Georgia but somehow the Mutts squeaked one out.
NEVER FORGET that GT beat the preseason #1 team in America and Rambling Wreck football is restored to Glory!

I am a grad of both UGA and FL and must agree with Chipper that the SB was the most uninspired performance of a SEC team in a bowl that I have ever seen. Charlie Strong deserves kudos for bringing a team that was prepared to take it to the Gators. The Gators MAY have a good team next year, but this embarrassment will take a long time to forget. Dawgs in top 10, Gators still ranked???

THESE comments coming from a player who was the elder statesman of a team that had one of baseball’s most epic collapses? THESE comments coming from a player who pretty much tossed his team’s playoff (or playIN) chances to right field in his last game of the year? THESE comments coming from a player who ended the 2002 Division Series against the Giants by grounding into a dp with the winning runs on base? THESE comments coming from a player who was part of that GOD-awful 1996 World Series team that choked like an ant trying to swallow a jaw breaker? THESE comments coming from a player who–ah, forget it. Yeah, Chipper DEFINITELY knows when a team is showing their ass and playing below expectations.
I still love Chipper….just had to get that off my chest. I wasn’t at that play-in game to toss my trash on the field……

hey, we dawg fans seem to have forgotten about Central Florida. The truth is that all Gator fans are responsible for setting your own team up for this fall in the Sugar bowl. Everyboby, and I mean everybody, talked for weeks about the “inferior opponent” you were facing. Heck, you people didn’t even purchase but half of your alloted tickets because you couldn’t get excited about who you were playing. In essence, your superior ego,s leaked over to your team and, they weren,t prepared mentally for a team that was tired of hearing about the Gators and the SEC. You folks don,t have any right to criticize your team and coaches because you brought this on yourselves.
