Chipper Jones rips Gators after upset

One of the Florida Gators’ best-known fans is ripping into the team after its stunning 33-23 loss to Louisville in the Sugar Bowl Wednesday night.

Chipper Jones took to Twitter to express the frustration that many Gator fans are feeling after watching Florida fall behind 24-3 in the first half and 33-10 in the second half before falling 10 points short in a late comeback attempt.

“Never seen a more undisciplined football team in my life. As a life long UF fan, that was embarrassing,” Jones wrote Thursday.

And then: “I can handle getting beat, but to show ur [fannies] in front of the whole country? Sure hope the inmates ain’t running the asylum down there!”

Hey. We are 7-7!!! But 10-2 in basketball! :) Louisville, for all intensive purposes, is a member of the ACC. They are just going through the motions in the Big East because they have to. Five solid ACC wins in bowl games; VT, GT, Clemson, FSU and Louisville!!! Two over SEC powers.

“…[Chipper Jones ]doesn’t sound like the sharpest tool in the shed.”

Chipper is a world class dufus. He proves it darn near every time he opens his mouth. The signature moment of his final season with the Braves was to toss a routine throw to second base into center field in the playoff game with St Louis.

Two years ago, he decided to publicly lecture Jason Heyward on playing with pain. Hello? Chipper? Aren’t you the same guy who routinely excused himself from work (at a cool 67K per game) because your ring finger was stiff, or you hurt his back changing shirts or sleeping on the mattress in a 5-star New York hotel?

He’s a man blessed with prodigious physical talent. God evened it out by giving him the mental capacity of a bag of hair and the competitive heart of Caspar Milquetoast.

Gator fans need to give credit where it is due. You don’t seem to want to accept the fact that you were going up against one of the premiere coaches and defensive minds in the game in Charlie Strong. Not only that, but Strong knows the Gators inside and out and Louisville’s personel isn’t exactly bad. Their defense had strength and speed and Driskell was under pressure all night long. Just don’t be like Nebraska, where you tell everyone how much better you are than a team that just whipped your rear ends. Just take, bury it, and prepare for next season!

The gators were bad! I always cheer for the SEC teams up against out of conference teams. So I was cheering for the GAtors.
Well, UGA should have had that gig, not the gators.
Now it’s up to Bama to beat Notre Dame.

In retrospect, I believe us Dawg fans have a reason to be thankful we weren’t placed in that BCS bowl. I think we would have hopefully kept it closer but I doubt we would have come up with a W. Charlie Strong and Bridgewater are scary good.

3 of the 4 longest bowl streaks reside in the ACC (FSU, VT, GT). And the 4th is UF. The ACC has turned the corner with our bowl showing this year, and will be at or near the top next year!!! If not us, it will be the Big Ten – not SEC. :(

I stopped following Chipper Jones soon after baseball season was over; he was ranting about the Warren Commission findings. Then I decided that he was just another guy with an opinion.

Muschamp’s stooges will be MORE then ready next year when they play UGA. And, without the 6 turnovers, they will start to win year after year over UGA – just like they did when Spurrier was there.

“Louisville, for all intents and purposes, is a member of the ACC”
Just thought I’d share.

I think Florida is the new “U”! Multiple personal foul penalties and one player ejected from the game. Way to get beat and look like a bunch of thugs at the same time.

The bowl games just prove the playoffs need to be like 16 to 24 teams to give the underdogs a chance to win the NC. And its true, the Gators looked like hott ass garbage last night (with a lil help from the refs)!!! And Driskell needs to learn how to step up in the pocket. But I still say, GO GATORS!!!

Blah, blah, blah. The rest of the reasonable world doesn’t give a (as you southerners say it “rat’s a–) about all your little overrated redneck teams. The real team with real student athletes that take real classes with real entrance exam scores will show up and shut you all up. You will get what you deserve when an intellignet Irish team takes your big dumb Elephants, Tide, whatever, to the proverbial woodshed. Then when we schedule those ACC games, we will run that conference, too. Your days of glory are up. Kick’em Irish.

Atlanta Irish – last time you came to Atlanta to play GT we pelted your team with fish and Jack Daniels bottles – just as you deserve. We are the ACC – you are not. GT is the marquee school of the conference. 222 – 0 ! Beat that!

Florida’s was performance was on par with Chipper’s as a husband – both were pitiful! Go Gators! Yall stop by Gainesville anytime if you want to see what a BCS championship trophy looks like. 11-2 in a rebuilding year with a new qb, not bad. (But last night was awful – no excuses for the lack of effort; too many guys looking forward to “announcing for the draft”) Was this year as good as it gets at Georgia? 271 days until next season!

This article is about the Florida – L’ville game, correct? Why so many comments about UGA and GT???? Both teams won their bowl games so let’s just be happy about that. Who the heck cares about the number of SEC or ACC bowl wins?? Pretty juvenile in my opinion.

Why is anyone surprised with last night’s outcome? These same gators should’ve been beat at home by La-Laf. And their QB play continues to be horrible- I don’t care what Driskell was rated coming out of HS. He sure is doo doo now.

And Muschump, don’t get me started. His rah-rah cheerleading style didn’t work that well in Texas. I could never understand why such a defensive genius had teams in Austin that would routinely give up 40+ points.
