Saints players say bus was egged in Atlanta
Former Falcons linebacker Curtis Lofton told the AJC’s Michael Cunningham that the Falcons aren’t really seen as a worthy rival by his current team, the Saints, on Tuesday.

Lofton and his New Orleans teammates may feel differently after their bus allegedly was egged while the team was leaving Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson Airport Wednesday night.
The Saints were arriving in Atlanta for their game against the Falcons Thursday night in the Georgia Dome.
Saints backup quarterback Chase Daniel tweeted this just minutes after the team’s charter flight touched down:
@ChaseDaniel: Wow, as we’re boarding buses on the Tarmac @ Atlanta airport, we start getting eggs thrown @ us by airport workers! Guess they do hate us!
Tight end Jimmy Graham confirmed the incident took place with another tweet:
@JimmyGraham: Bus just got egged after landing in ATL by the ramp workers. Classy! “RISE Up” smh
A third player, linebacker Will Herring, also tweeted about it:
@wherring54 First time my bus has been egged by opposing fans! Tomorrow should be fun!! #WhoDatNation
Hartsfield-Jackson officials are investigating the incident.
New Orleans has won 11 of the last 13 games in the series, including a 31-27 victory on Nov. 11.
But the Falcons are 10-1 and the Saints are just 5-6 this season.

Seriously? Some of you think people should lose their jobs over this?? Tossing some eggs at a bus? Sheesh!! It’s just harmless fun, like the smack talk going on between the fans on these blogs and on sports radio. It adds to the flava of the game! Why so serious???

The Saints are going for a dozen(eggs) wins out of 14 games against these sorry failcants and who cares if the falcons hold the overall record in the series by only 4 games, many of these folks including myself wasn’t even born to experience those days in the 1960’s 1970’s to brag about that..we are talking recent and now and the media doesn’t care and talk about the overall series record..GET UP TO DATE FALCON FANS! The media only talk about recent facts in the last 7yrs between the Saints and Falcons and the national media only talk about saints beating the falcons 11 out of last 13 times and never the overall series record..so get off that tired and old bus about leading the overall series cause no one cares but you lost falcon fans…til than stop the whining and accept the facts now, the saints own the falcons right now! maybe in 4 or 5 yrs you guys may start winning games against the saints and tables may turn, but now it hasn’t happened..til than good luck thur.nite

Air Marshal, has anyone ever been fatally injured by an airborne egg? Is an egg considered a weapon of terror? Hey, maybe there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq after all — I’ll bet there were tons of eggs in Hussein’s palace!! Anyway, the terrorist egg throwers weren’t inside the airport tossing eggs at the actual players. They were throwing eggs at the Saints bus on the tarmac. Wow Lesa you have more info than all of the news outlets!! As a matter of fact there were eggs in Husseins place but they were Faberge eggs. Only eggs I have known to be weapons of mass destruction have been consumed by humans and produce methane gas!! LMAO!! I question the source…
I do feel that The Saint know that they can beat The Falcons, but..
They seem to acting as if they can’t..
It’s all kinds of incidents, and from what I’ve just heard.—no evidence of an egging at The Airport..
I would not be surprised if they need o motivate themselves and their fanbase with Lofton doing all the talking..
They seem to need to do this…

Falcon players were toying with Lofton as an ex-teammante, and friend…
Lofton was asked several times if his former teammates were doing what was claimed..
He skipped the answer…No direct answer from Lofton about what happened…Why is that?
Still…The Falcons should not go play with an ex-teammate.. They should’ve been focused on their jobs!

Airport workers? I doubt it was airport workers. A lot of stolen AND OPEN luggage from the Delta carousel was found in a field on airport property. 11Alive ran the story recently. It could very well be folks who sneaked on to the tarmac to do it. That’s a security issue.

sportsmanship, thats what it all boils down to. When the saints win, they are sore winners, the kind that get in your face and you have to push away. When they loose, they are the same way. The saints fans, well they are the worst behaving fans ever. If we acted the way they do when they come here down in New Orleans, they would shoot us. Unfortunatly when Katrina flooded down there, the rats had to go somewhere, so there is a large poplulation of saints fans living here. The only good part of that story is most are in jail or on their way to jail.

Egging the team bus is minor compared to what the Falcons will be dealing when they go to the playoffs. They seem to do pretty well against teams with losing records including getting by a couple of those games in the last period. The real Superbowel tests will begin shortly. So lets see how deep the Falcons go this year.
