Alabama RB pokes fun at UGA
Alabama finally cracked with some smack talk about its SEC Championship opponent on Tuesday afternoon.
And it was an Alabama running back from Georgia, Hillgrove High School’s Kenyan Drake, who fired the shot on Twitter:
Biggest game in 30 years?? We do this every year #rolltide
Drake is a freshman at Alabama, as this is his first season of college football. He was obviously making reference to UGA players or fans being hyped up about Saturday’s contest.
Drake may not be politically correct but he is right. It is UGA’s biggest game in 30 years because a win will give the Bulldogs a shot at winning the national title for the first time since 1980.
But should Drake have said it out loud?
UGA players have been talking a little smack, in bits and pieces, all week – most notably with safety Bacarri Rambo saying “We have better players (than Alabama) across the board.”
Meanwhile, Alabama coach Nick Saban and players have been relatively quiet in media interviews this week.

The only people in the country that are pulling for Alabama to win this game is Alabama fans. The whole country is sick of hearing how good they think they are. I hope UGA puts a serious but wooping on them. Thet didnt play the three toughest teams in the SEC. That is UGA,FL. and USC. Florida beat LSU and Texas A&M. If you look past this GA team you may be sitting at home watching them on TV. Go DAWGS…

Kenyan Drake is sixth on the depth chart at Bama this year. He hasn’t contributed much, but he’s a member of the team. He’s right. Alabama might not play in the BCSCG every year, but they do play big games every year. They played in a pretty big post-season game last year, as I recall.

SEC IMPLEMENTS BCS PLAYOFF-
The SEC championship game is a play in to the BCS title game. I think last years BCS title, featuring TWO SEC teams is what forced the BCS’ hand and made them create the four team playoff for 2014. But hey, we’ve got half of it right now. The #2 and #3 teams are playing in the SEC championship game to be in the BCS title game.
It would be the 7th consecutive National Championship for the SEC if they win. There has never been such conference dominance in NCAA football, has there?
No matter who wins the SEC title, Notre Dame will be facing as many future NFL players, in one game, as they’ve seen the whole season. With the long recovery time available for the SEC winner, it’s hard to see Notre Dame staying in the game until the end.

Alabama only has 14 national titles and Georgia has how many? I forgot! Oh, thats right….its TWO. So take all the SEC titles that Georgia has and it doesn’t add up to the national titles that Alabama has. Go figure!

UGA played for title three years straight, 80-82. We got hosed in 2002 and especially in 2007 when they moved the 2 loss LSU ahead of us. Bama better be ready, that’s all I have to say.

Go Dawgs, GATA. I hope Mr. Drake gets to play in a Georgia blowout. I think Alabama’s 1st string O is better than our 2nd string D. He might actually score. In reality I don’t think we will be seeing him or any other 4th string players in this game. I look for it to be close, hopefully a Dawg win.

Somehow Ga has convince themselves they are the better defense. They don’t give a damn they we are the number one defense in the nation. Couple that with Nick Saban, and how the hell are you going to win? Question Ga. When Richt get’s his body tan, is it in the buff or does he wear a bikini?

“We do this every year.” Interesting comment given that the Lizards from Florida have won more SEC Championships than Alabama. If memory serves, a few other teams from the West have played in Bama’s spot. Oh, that’s right- just two years ago, those Tigers from the Plains won the West, the SEC, and the NC. Funny how the present quickly turns to always.

I would venture to say Drake is better than any of the Ga backs.
I know he is faster. Nobody in Cobb County could stop the guy.
He was the Ga Gatorade player of the year last year.
He just happens to be freshman playing behind two stars.
He could easily score on that Ga defense.

Why do UGA fans (fans not Alumni, Alumni have respect) keep ripping on GT for going to the ACC Championship Game? We know it is only because UNC and Miami can’t go. We aren’t out there talking smack about winning our division, we didn’t win it, but we WILL represent it.
