Bulldogs 6th in BCS standings

Georgia is 6th in the new BCS standings released Sunday night.

Alabama continues to hold the No. 1 spot, followed by Kansas State, Notre Dame, Oregon and LSU.

The Bulldogs surged in the rankings after a 17-9 win over Florida Saturday.

Notre Dame moved ahead of Oregon and into the third spot. The Ducks are being hurt by the strength of their schedule. But Oregon plays three opponents in the BCS top 25 (USC, Stanford and Oregon State) in its last four games, starting with the Trojans on Saturday.

Notre Dame, with four games left, faces only one more team with a winning record (USC). Kansas State has three winning teams in its four remaining opponents, though only No. 25 Texas is in the BCS top 25.

Alabama is an overwhelming No. 1 but has what looks to be its toughest test of the season coming up this week, when it visits fifth-place LSU on Saturday.

First!!! Great win!!! The offense is as good as lsu’s. If the coaching staff has so much confidenceand loving Aaron murray’s “iq” for the game, why does all eleven players have to loom at the sideline for the change of play calling? Qb should do that… Look at matty ice and even matt stafford when he played at uglya

Kansas State has the easiest to NC, but as a school with little history, I am afraid they will be too nervous to finish the last game.

ND is like FL, O is questionable, undefeated season? unlikely.

If UGA wins out, UGA will be in.

Dogs will win out and go to Atlanta for the SECCG. Would the SEC be locked out of the NC game if LSU beats Alabama? I like UGA’s chances better against LSU than Bama. Maybe a Sugar Bowl rematch- UGA-ND?

What can this team be like if the put it all together. This week the defense won it despite a poor showing by Murray who was not even sacked in the game. The lack of discipline deal reemerged with all the trash talking after successful plays. So give the game ball to Shawn Williams who saw what the problem was and addressed it successfully. Now we need a player on the offense to step up tell the coaches what’s wrong with that side of the ball …. especially in big games.

The clearest path for the Dawgs is to win out and possibly face Notre Dame in the BCS championship game, just like in 1980 when we replace a pitiful president with a former governor from a democratic state.

Shawn Williams for President and Jarvis Jones for Secretary of Defense!

BigDawg,

“Shawn Williams for President and Jarvis Jones for Secretary of Defense”

they both are most likely Democrats. I think you despise them. Make up your mind before you vote, my friend.

Chris, the coaches in the press box — who ultimately call the play — have a better view of the defense than the QB.
