LSU defensive back Tyrann Mathieu has been dismissed from the team, head coach Les Miles announced Friday.
Miles said Mathieu, a.ka. “The Honey Badger” was dismissed for an undisclosed violation of team rules. Miles said the violation was a school and team violation.
Miles said Mathieu was not yet eligible to turn pro, but he believed Mathieu “still has a bright future.”
Miles said it was a “longstanding rule” that Mathieu violated.
LSU enters the season with a preseason No. 1 ranking, but the loss of Mathieu removes one of the Tigers’ top playmakers, both on defense and special teams, where he was one of the top kick returners in the nation.
“It’s difficult at best,” said Miles, who called Mathieu “a quality, quality guy who had behavior issues.”
Matthieu was suspended for last season’s Auburn game for reportedly violating the team’s drug policy.
Mathieu becomes the third high-profile player to be dismissed from a Top 10 team in less than two months, joining Georgia’s Isaiah Crowell and Florida State’s Greg Reid.

TampaGator I agree. There is not disputing Florida’s talent, it’s just a matter of adjusting to the 3rd OC in 3 years. And you lost both Rainey and Demps and they were so much of your offense.
We have a lot more severe of depth issues than most of our fans will admit. We are basically no different than a team on probation due to poor roster management. A couple of key injuries and we are screwed. With Tennessee still trying to turn it around, it looks like South Carolina may be the team again this year in the east.

He’s not transferring anywhere he will have to sit out a year.
He’ll go to a div. 2 or 3 or Juco and be the star for one year then enter the NFL draft.
By then, he’ll have more pot in his system than ricky “ganja” williams and the NFL won’t be able to hide all the failed drug tests. Then they will cut him loose and he’ll be bagging groceries and working the arena league. He’s too stupid to do anything else.

For all you dudes out there that respect Mile for dismissing the BADger from the team; ClassLESs Miles had no choice the LSU administration did it for him by setting overall student athletic policy. The line “Quality, Quality kid that had behaviour problems” says all you will ever what to know about ClassLESs Miles

Here’s a question for you:
UGA mandates that the penalty for athletes who are caught using illegal drugs is to be suspended for a minimum of 10% of the games for their sport. The regular season for football is 12 games. 10% of 12 games equals 1.2 games. When Richt suspends a player for one game, that’s only 8.3%, not 10%. Assuming that UGA plays in a post-season bowl game, it’s only 7.7%.
So how does Marvelous Marky Boy explain that away?
I know it’s UGA, where mathematical skills are limited, but even Richt, who’s not very bright, should be able to handle a calculator.
Never mind, I forgot that Richt is a lowlife, cheating douche. That explains everything.

Yep, blake and one fail at other schools gets no suspension.
Compare schools policies on how many fails it takes for suspensions and dismissals
UGA has toughest policy.

Rev. Richt! Funny! When Meyer was our coach we all knew he was a D-Bag but he won football games. CMR’s much ballyhooed integrity and moral fiber is only going to be good for going potty if he doesnt start winning the big ones. Good luck this year Dawgs you’re going to need it to get past Bama or LSU. The Mighty Gators need a little more work before they start competing for Championships again. Come on Dawgs time to win something, Herschel Walker is so 20th century!
