Chipper Jones tweets foul play at NY’s Grand Hyatt
Venting, even a tad, has its rewards, so says Braves third-baseman Chipper Jones.

Jones took to Twitter on Thursday to complain about his accommodations at New York’s Grand Hyatt hotel, according to Deadspin.com. He was in New York for the Braves’ series against the Mets.
Chipper, whose Twitter moniker is @RealcJ10, complained about the hotel’s AC, his bed and even the movie channels.
@RealcJ10 first tweeted, “If anyone was thinkin about stayin at the Grand Hyatt in NY,dont! My AC is set on 65 and its north of 80 in here. Like a freaken sauna!”
He next tweeted to his 100,817 followers: “The movie channels dont work and the beds make my back spasm up! Am i complaining too much? Im sorry, gotta vent to someone. Love yall!!!”
Evidently the Midtown Manhattan hotel’s management got wind of the tweet rant because soon afterward there must have been a knock at Jones’ door.
“Ahh the power of social media,” Jones’ last tweet said. “TV guy just showed up at my door. Didnt even have to call the front desk. See what happens when u vent a tad? “
This is the celebrated 40-year-old third baseman’s last season with the Braves.

Good man Chipper! I wish NBC would listen to rants and venting also. Their TV coverage of USA events is horrible, NBC, MSNBC and CNBC love to show non-USA events and NBCSN for the most part shows the events but not everyone in the US gets NBCSN. I guess it’s a marketing ploy. Not to mention we never seem to see the Gold Medal Ceremony’s of our athletes. Somebody, please do some tweeting!!

I’ve stayed there without a problem several times but for what they charge it had better be perfect! Published rates are $400.00 per night and up. That’s for a shoebox size room..

Maybe they messed up the room in advance. Sometimes you have to do something drastic to get things done. Need that bed to work out so he can play over the weekend. THE most miserable summer week I’ve ever experienced was in the Marriott hotel in New York’s financial district. The air conditioner didn’t work there, either, so because of the humidity, my clothes stayed damp, and sleeping was nearly impossible.
Even the heat of Atlanta’s summers don’t compare to summer in New York.
