Chipper Jones tweets foul play at NY’s Grand Hyatt
Venting, even a tad, has its rewards, so says Braves third-baseman Chipper Jones.

Jones took to Twitter on Thursday to complain about his accommodations at New York’s Grand Hyatt hotel, according to Deadspin.com. He was in New York for the Braves’ series against the Mets.
Chipper, whose Twitter moniker is @RealcJ10, complained about the hotel’s AC, his bed and even the movie channels.
@RealcJ10 first tweeted, “If anyone was thinkin about stayin at the Grand Hyatt in NY,dont! My AC is set on 65 and its north of 80 in here. Like a freaken sauna!”
He next tweeted to his 100,817 followers: “The movie channels dont work and the beds make my back spasm up! Am i complaining too much? Im sorry, gotta vent to someone. Love yall!!!”
Evidently the Midtown Manhattan hotel’s management got wind of the tweet rant because soon afterward there must have been a knock at Jones’ door.
“Ahh the power of social media,” Jones’ last tweet said. “TV guy just showed up at my door. Didnt even have to call the front desk. See what happens when u vent a tad? “
This is the celebrated 40-year-old third baseman’s last season with the Braves.

Whats stupid is tweeting it to everyone, as opposed to just taking care of it with a phone call. But Chipper has never been known to shun the spotlight, no matter what the situation. Grow up, CJ, and give us all a break.

cant wait for you to be gone chipper. sounds alot like years ago when you said how hard it was to be in a 5 star hotel, and people “bothered you” by asking for autographs. real folks are having trouble and you with your millions are in a hotel room and the tv doesnt work. i cant wait for the season to end and you can get gone.

The silly comments about Chipper on here only show the character of the posters…not of Chipper. The jealousy of people is amazing. …enjoy your plumbing jobs making 35k a year. i’m sure Chipper cares about your opinion of him as he pulls up to the bank. It’s funny, people in the “real” world make fun of or try to belittle athletes all the time for every little thing they think that athlete does wrong. No one should have to call the front desk to have a working A/C, TV and bed. This is a hotel in NY that charges a fortune for a stay. Customer complaints shouldn’t be their method of quality control.
