How badly did Kansas bust your bracket?

Kansas forward Marcus Morris is crushed. So were many Jayhawk supporters. (Rich Sugg, Kansas City Star)

The top-seeded Kansas Jayhawks were ousted from the NCAA Tournament Saturday, and mostly likely the dreams of many who had them winning it all in the office pool.

Northern Iowa’s miraculous win was far from being the only upset of the day – St. Mary’s toppled Villanova – but likely had the largest implications.

Of the more than 5 million participants in ESPN’s bracket contest, only 0.57 percent had the Panthers moving to the Sweet Sixteen. Dare we say a much larger audience had Kansas going all the way, including one Commander in Chief.

Closer to home, AJC’s own Mark Bradley’s Final Four Fiaso … well, it’s just that. As he put it: he’s been burned by Kansas.

But not all hope is lost. Some AJC readers weren’t swayed by public opinion and are still alive in the contest.

How’s your bracket? Will you keep watching the tournament now? And if so, what’s your rooting interest?

Georgia Tech is playing Sunday. Wonder if anyone has them going all the way?

My bracket is now being used for target practice. I do have Tech going all the way on one of my brackets that I’m just playing around with.

Kansas is weak-minded. I had them losing to G’town, so the Hoyas screw-up doesn’t hurt so much now

Kansas losing really helped everyone without KU winning it all, like me! That’s what people get for picking the favorite…

you were crazy if you didn’t pick kansas. despite the loss, they were still the heavy favorite and rightfully so. they are the best team in college hoops, but for those 40 mins, they were not better than one team. anyone who did not pick kansas and says they know college basketball is lying.

After going 2-6 yesterday I am close to done, but if Tech stays in we will see. I am 26-14 but I had Kansas. I will pull for Kentucky just so I can see Mrs. Judd some more.

I do a lot of underdog rooting (Cornell, ODU). What is is most disturbing is that I trail Bradley going into Sunday’s games … on the flip-side and am status quo for most years past with 2 of 4 standing for the finals. Been some great hoops. My women’s bracket looks better.

Not too badly. Today’s AJC still has them alive playing the winner of Maryland-Michigan State on Friday.

I have a Syracuse / West Virginia final, so I’m still alive at 11:09am Sunday morning. But I don’t have much confidence now. Kentucky looks way too strong to lose a game.

I have Kansas and WVU in the final … Kansas winning. Oh, well. At least I can take comfort in the fact that most everyone else in my pool is faced with the same dilemma. If I did well in my other picks, I still have a chance. We’ll see what happens. I expect that KU won’t be the last upset of the weekend …

I had Kansas in the final… I went 26-6 first round and am 6-3 second round… the only hope is Northern Iowa can go far so no one can benefit from Kansas losing

Kansas used to burn me annually. Stanford, too. No matter how well they’ve done since then, I just can’t trust them. Looks like I was right this year.

I still have all four in my Bradley bracket: Ohio State, Syracuse, Kentucky, & Duke.

what ever happened to the COLLEGE HOOPS U PICK EM — Since I signed up to play you can’t find a link to it most days on the sports page or anywhere near Mark Bradley’s column,,

Yet the are several links to the 5th incarnation of the NFL Mock draft..

Not much. I got West Virginia, Butler, and Duke as final fours, along with Kansas. I am in first in three different pools. Picking the Home team and Huggie/WVU has done me well.

You will NEVER find the U Pickem now that Bradley the Homer WIldcat’s team has choked.

So bad I had to run the Pittsburgh Marathon is a Nebraska jersey – pool winner got to choose clothing for the loser.
