Jose Canseco calls out Herschel Walker
Jose Canseco wants a piece of Herschel Walker
“I guess I may have to show Herschel Walker who the real bad boy of the Sports Industry is,” Canseco wrote on his Twitter page. “If the powers that be are reading, I want in.”
Walker made his mixed martial arts debut Saturday, scoring a third-round TKO over Greg Nagy. The 47-year-old ex-UGA star looked to be in top shape and overwhelmed Nagy.
Canseco lost his MMA debut last March. He was knocked out in 77 seconds by 7-foot-2, 330-pound Hong Man Choi of South Korea.
According to the Los Angeles Times, Walker’s representatives have not responded to Canseco’s challenge.

if you mean over 8000 rushing yards, 4800 receiving yds, 500 catches, 82 tds, 2 pro-bowls, and 18000(12 seasons) all-purpose yds defines a crappy professional player, then i would hate to see what you’re other definitions are, and thats not counting what he did in the usfl. 5600 rushing yds in 3 yrs, including 2400 yds in 3rd year. still the best single season in professional football. add in 54 tds in those 3 yrs.

Oh please, the only fight that naco can win is with his ex wife whom he beat regularly. Walker is right to ignore juice-boy as he is just seeking a payday and another moment in front of the camera. Hershel has maintained that body since he was 18….who else can say that? If they did fight, it should be a death match so Walker could kill that POS.

You know…Herschel looked great and all in his debut. But his opponent looked out of shape…flexible but flabby but known for his jujitsu. But Herschel overpowered him with his muscle and admittedly made some good moves on the ground though obviously raw. He looked at one point to have been able to dispatch Nagy with a guillotine choke hold that undoubtedly would’ve ended the fight early but didn’t take advantage due to lack of experience.
Love Herschel and his legendary work ethic. It will be interesting to see how he handles a stronger more aggressive opponent and see how he fares.
HW was a football machine who played for years with seperated shoulders. Unquestionably tough, focused and without a doubt in tip top condition for a man of any age, I am excited to see him fight and see what this super human being can do in the ring. He loves to compete, and man what a competitor.

The fools knocking Herschel’s pro career need to do their homework. He never gained elite recognition like a Payton, Sanders or Faulk, but he’s the only NFL player to have 10,000+ yards from scrimmage and 5,000+ return yards (on kickoff returns). He also had almost 5,000 receiving yards, so some of you must have been asleep during his career or lost track after he was traded to the Vikes. He was 2nd all-time in allpurpose yards when he retired and still ranks 8th. And Jose has absolutely no realistic hope of winning this match, have you compared their fitness levels…c’mon…

find me one other person who has done as much in his life as herschel. valedictorian, heisman winner, balled out in 2 pro football leagues, most tds in a 3 YEAR SPAN, olympian, ballet dancer, MMA fighter, and has done all this w/out lifting weights!!
