Jose Canseco calls out Herschel Walker
Jose Canseco wants a piece of Herschel Walker
“I guess I may have to show Herschel Walker who the real bad boy of the Sports Industry is,” Canseco wrote on his Twitter page. “If the powers that be are reading, I want in.”
Walker made his mixed martial arts debut Saturday, scoring a third-round TKO over Greg Nagy. The 47-year-old ex-UGA star looked to be in top shape and overwhelmed Nagy.
Canseco lost his MMA debut last March. He was knocked out in 77 seconds by 7-foot-2, 330-pound Hong Man Choi of South Korea.
According to the Los Angeles Times, Walker’s representatives have not responded to Canseco’s challenge.

Desperation is a state of mind. Herschel is a focused athelete who trains hard every day and is religious about his diet. How many pushups can you do in a day? 30? 300? How about 3000?
Hose-eco couldn’t carry Herschel’s JS…and he is out of his mind.

This Gator will be pullin’ for the ex-dawg Herschel to clean Jose’s clock. Jose Canseco is just a big gas-bag. I would recommend regularly testing of Jose (blood and urine)for ‘roids and HGH for 3 months prior to a match.

Johhny DangerDawg…I agree…Walker will not allow the freak show to derail his desire to see how far he can go against the best fighters in the MMA. He will fight lesser known opponents to gain some experience and earn himself a meaningful fight. Then we’ll see what he is capable of. Fun to watch this unfold!

before you call walker a crappy NFL player, you might want to look at his rushing numbers and see how they stack up all-time. Prepare for a surprise. And those are just his rushing totals. Herschel Walker was always a bad man on the football team, even when he played special teams. If I had an all-time team to make, I’d make room for Walker somewhere.

This should be viewed as ANOTHER desperate attempt by Canseco to pay his bills by making outrageous, inflammatory comments to call someone out to build hype and money for a match and build his overrated legacy. This is the guy who said he could sprint sub 4.4 when he was at UM…nobody really believed that but Jose and nobody really believes this…Herschel will be doing pushups on Jose’s skull if he takes this match, Jose seems better suited for WWE than MMA.

The fools knocking Herschel’s pro career need to do their homework. He never gained elite recognition like a Payton, Sanders or Faulk, but he’s the only NFL player to have 10,000+ yards from scrimmage and 5,000+ return yards (on kickoff returns). He also had almost 5,000 receiving yards, so some of you must have been asleep during his career or lost track after he was traded to the Vikes. He was 2nd all-time in allpurpose yards when he retired and still ranks 8th. And Jose has absolutely no realistic hope of winning this match, have you compared their fitness levels…c’mon…

find me one other person who has done as much in his life as herschel. valedictorian, heisman winner, balled out in 2 pro football leagues, most tds in a 3 YEAR SPAN, olympian, ballet dancer, MMA fighter, and has done all this w/out lifting weights!! You try succeeding like that on only push-ups, sit-ups, pull-ups and dips.

Just in case no-one remembers….Jose charged the mound after getting plunked by Noland Ryan. Noland Ryan being about a foot shorter, 30 to 50 pounds lighter, and about 10 years older, wound up beating the crap out of Canseco. So Jose, in case you don’t remember the butt whooping Noland laid on you…I hope this refreshes your roided out brain….Don’t do it Jose….He’ll kill you.

Like Dorsett, east and west running not that great, but get them turned north and south and it was fun to watch.
I heard that Herschel did an incredible amount of situps and pushups during his playing days.
Shame to see him in this capacity because no telling at the damage he will take.

Herschel is great! A great football player and heisman trophy winner. Can we say he’s going through a mid life crisis? So I guess MMA is the answer instead of a sports car or some 25 yr old chick???
