Quarterback rating is THE measure of a quarterback accepted by those in the know. Norwood has a value. A team carries 5 running backs, normally. He is a situation back, not an every down back I admit. As far as calling me “Stat Boy” I have two things to say about that. 1) I heard a million stats given by Michael Vick fans with a serious MAN-CRUSH. 2) I GOT YOUR BOY!

I have been a Falcon fan since the very first game. Originally, when Atlanta didn’t have an NFL team we could only get the Redskins or Colts on TV. I remember going to an NFL exibition game at Ponce De Leon ball park. The Pittsburg Steelers were playing somebody…..I don’t remember who.
At any rate, at that time Pittsburg was the worst team in the NFL and had been for 25-30 years. They were perpetual losers (check the record) The only decent player they had was John Henry Johnson at running back and he was a Hoss. He gained 1,000 yards when that meant something on a perpetual loser.
My point in this is that within just a few years and a change in management…….. one very good draft…….. the Steelers were perpetual winners.
This back-to-back thing is a big deal for several reasons not the least of which is a continuing march toward respectabiity.
The Falcons were in the hands of poor ownership for decades and that is the real “curse” that had to be broken.
This team is headed in the exact right direction. It won’t be too long before you’ll be hearing in discussions within the NFL “why can’t we do it like they do it at THE BRANCH”.
Can’t come too soon for me. Everyone from Tommy Nobis on deserves this one. Congratulations……….. and many more.
To the guy blowing about their Six Super Bowl victories……. “people who live in glass houses…………….” I can remember when they were terrible.

We’re “losers” for calling out your team for 44 years of abysmal football? I think not. Rather, I just think we like to make fun of the sad state of your team Maybe, I’m just simply bored on a Sunday. What better way to spend a few minutes then to rag on the pathetic state of Atl sports? You want to define what it means to be a loser? It’s certainly not me for simply stating the sad facts. Maybe it’s the 44 year record of 284-407-6 that defines it. Btw, I’m curious..is there a parade tomorrow in the Atl to celebrate this tremendous accomplishment? I mean, it’s pretty rare for an NFL team to have back-to-back winning seasons.

Amy, you’re stupid to ignore the numbers. Watch out next year!!? Watch out for what? Yet, another mediocre season? I guess a false sense of hope always prevails here. “MY ATL FALCONS AND OUR FABULOUS COACH” sounds like dribble from some 12 year old. Anyways, you have led an incredibly boring and pathetic life if you have been one of the few losers who have actually attended Falcon games for all these downtrodden years. You know the old saying…once a loser…

Ben, your comments make no sense and reek of Southern ignorance. Please turn off the lights in your double-wide and go to sleep like a good little boy should. Wake up around this time next year…same ole’ pathetic team and same ole’ pathetic results…except Ben will be a year older and probably have fewer teeth then the year before…

Yes, much like the performance of the Falcon team on the field, the performance of the typical male Falcon fan in the bedroom leaves the wife wanting more. Wholly disappointing for the wife considering the money the dumba$$ spent on Viagra. I guess it wouldn’t be too bad for us wives if they would just cut back on all those damn false starts and encroachment penalties!!

Tony Gonz should have stayed with Chiefs if he wanted to go to the SuperBowl. A Blank is the Smith family part 2. With Tampa and Carolina improving next year, there will be a few local TV blackouts and a 6-10 record next year…… As usual…….

To the Steeler fan on here talking about their SB titles, let’s not forget that team was around for over 40 years before it made it’s first play-off appearance so the past is the past.
Congrats to the Falcons.
- ATL needs an OL coach and a #2 receiver as Jenkins is too up and and down.
- On the D we need a DE and 2 starting corners as Grimes, Houston, Williams and Owens are OK but are all over matched with the NFL’s elite receivers.
A licker wouldn’t be a bad idea either.
GO Falcons!

Who’s the Falcons MVP this year? On Offense I pick Jason Snelling. All other backs above him on the chart missed numerous games, but Jason played hard. He’s a keeper!

Ben, I’m disappointed in your conduct on this board. Frankly, I’m disappointing in everything you’ve ever done in our marriage. From the mediocre income you make as a janitor at the local grade school to the mediocre bouts with sex to that man-crush you have going with my brother…if you don’t watch it, I’m gonna leave you for that mechanic who “tuned and revved” my engine last week while you were out in Douglasville picking up that meager award you got for 10th place in the Ga Janitor Of The Year voting.

Good job Falcons! Have to start somewhere. Without the injuries the Falcons might have made the playoffs. Who knows. They do need help on defense. Maybe they have turned the corner. To bad we, as Falcons fans, can`t have a little discussion about our team without all the haters/kids/misinformed. Oh well, Go Falcons!
