The streak starts again ho hum only 6 more wins before the bugs on North Ave can talk about how good they are. What was Bobo thinking throwing that screen pass on third and 4 thats the same pass that killed us against the Wildcats last week note to Bobo run the ball twice on third and fourth if needed the we would not have needed the Drop to win. To Hell With Ga. Tech. Go Dawgs.

30-24!! Our worst team in the Richt era beats your best team in a decade, at your ballpark. What could possibly have led you to think you had caught up with us? Delusional, utterly delusional. Now go play in your sad little conference championship game and if you’re lucky enough to win hope that you don’t have to play a real team in a bowl game. By the way, nice run defense you had tonight.

College rankings are becoming more a joke every year. TCU, Cincinnati and Boise State ranked 4, 5 & 6? Are we all slipping into mediocrity in what we write about? These three teams together play no one of any merit. Their schedules look like the off game for an SEC team to fluff out a schedule. Are today’s writers so easy to fool? A cream puff league team gets a little better than the other cream puffs and schedules so they are undefeated and you’re fool enough to rank them over great teams playing in great leagues but have to lose to other great teams in that league? Come on, wake up and rank teams on their true strength or get a playoff. You’re just a joke to the everyday Joe like me.

I am really happy with the result but UGA has needs some serious reorganization in the offseason. Willie has to go. The Tech receiver should hae caught that ball at the end. That had nothing to do with Willie’s play calling; he was WIDE OPEN!!!
Also, the special teams coach needs to stop with those directional kicks!
Bobo did a great job tonight!!! Great running game tonight. Ealey is the future of our program!

The thing about it is that with UGA fans, it’s not that big of a deal to beat a bunch of losers from a no-talent no-history sorry excuse for a football program like you.
We, unlike the Saint Simons’ of the world will get over this pretty quick. Just another day at the office. However, you dweebs certainly have it coming to you. You’re the most classless fans in the country. Taake this as a lesson and learn from it. Until then, you’ll NEVER gain my respect, and I think I speak for all Dawg fans on that!

They have “bigger fish to fry.” Yeah, right. Like playing in the ACC Championship game in front of 22,000 fans….Nos. 1 and 2 in ACC lost to nos. 9 and 10 in SEC. Sound about right. ACC tickets $10 SEC tickets $350–$750 bigger fish my a$$. Maybe some of the Tech fans that won’t support their team by going to Tampa can chip in some of that money they are saving and buy Coaching Genius Paul Johnson a bra. And why did he start throwing bombs with 1:45 left when Georgia hadn’t stopped his offense all night? LMAO.

Great Win and a fun game to watch. It was exciting to the end. Tech showed their classlessness at the very end. I agree that Willie needs to go. I’m not so sure about Big Bird even though the 3rd & 4 middle screen was stupid. Earlier we had made a first down on 3rd & short with a slant screen pass to outside. I would have just run it up the middle we had 2 downs to pull it off and it would have used a minute off the clock. But who cares, we won! Enjoy the victory and on to the bowl.

Willie is out there fighting for his life. Our defense still missed tackles and over played many running plays. Georgia’s good defense really was because of the great front line push and Tech really missing on many plays. They didn’t play flawless like in Athens and it cost them.

Dawgs should have put Tech away by early third quarter. Willie Martinez had on pass receiver to cover and he never bumped him or double teamed him. What does Martinez say at halftime. Crazy dog you caught that horrible call by Bobo also. Why not a fullback dive? Why the delayed blitz in GT’s last drive? But the future looks pretty good. Best coaching all year by Richt. That my friends was classic Georgia in your face football. Tailback U has been revived. I like the emotion and CMR staying into every play. Go dawgs! Great end to a very disappointing season. No negatives tonight. Defense still with plenty problems, but CMR and CWM should celebrate a great night after a difficult season. Changes gotta be made but enjoy the weekend. Love the effort from the players; they have the talent, no doubt!
Start a petition for Russ! Saw him walk over and drop his own name in the hat. Said he could get used to this life. PS to PETA: if you had to be reincarnated as an animal, what would you rather be? The life of UGA and the frequent stud services??? Gotta be in your top three!

Try to show a little class in the victory. Yes we won, but it was a great game. Like last year, this was not some runaway rout, and we shouldn’t act like it was just because a small handful of obnoxious Tech fans (and possibly other schools with an axe to grind) were running their mouths in vain last year
And no, Bobo was not wrong throwing a screen pass on. Not every play works out, but most did this night, and he deserves credit for the win. As for Martinez, we had a down year. Scapegoating the coach is crap and I assure you we lose some recruits because of it. How many of those high scores against us were the result of turnovers by the offense (directly due to pick 6 and/or short fields) and how many were the result of a tired defense getting thrown back out there, time and time again when it wasnt a short field situaution?
If there is anything that can be said it is that, for yet another year under Coach Richt, we had a first-time starting QB, and that trend will continue next year. I love him for his loyalty to the players, but if there is criticism to be had, sometimes that level of loyalty to the one player is done at the expense of what is best for the team that year or at least the following year. And as hard as it is to accept, the program is about this year but also about the future. There has to be a balance, and it isn’t always the easiest decision. Either way, this year we had a first time starter; however going a different direction, either early or at least after the season fell off track, could have spared us another first time starter at QB next year. Instead, we get yet another season where we have to expect bumps in the road and inconsistencies need to expected. My biggest worry is next year we see Logan Gray as a one and done starter, and right about the time he gets some experience and improves, we repeat the cycle the following year with Aaron and/or Zach. I was the first to complain when Shockley came in for Green and killed the momentum of that Florida game several years ago; boy was I wrong.
Congratulations to the Dawgs! Go enjoy some well deserved adulation, and hopefully the team gets to enjoy a good bowl trip even if it wasn’t the one we all were hoping for.

Good job dawgs. Great 4 quarter intensity. Johnson screwed up at the end with the passing. Kick coverage kept Jackets in the game. Center of D line absolutely dominated and made tech’s only option to go outside. Now, if only the DBs could tackle. Good game plan offensively, give a bunch of credit to to the O line, they opened some big holes, physical smash mouth football, it would have been a much different season with the kind of running attack we have seen the last 4 games, would have taken a lot of pressure off Cox and the defense. Now to the harsh reality, the upset win still leaves a verrrrry disappointing 7-5 season, and Dawg fans should be thankful that Tech had a serious play calling brain f-rt when it decided to try 3 consecutive long passes with 1:50 left and having 1 timeout, they had plenty of time to keep running the ball, and the outcome might have been different; Coach Richt MUST do what is right for the program, and make a change at defensivecoordinator.

The person who needs to be fired is Damon Evans. Damon Evans is the reason Brian VanGorder is not at UGA. Damon Evans along with the UGA Athletic Association filed a law suit against VanGorder when Brian left UGA for the NFL. What a nice going away present for VanGorder and his five kids. a $90,000.00 law suit. If it wasn’t for VanGorders defense during the first four years of the Mark Richt helm UGA would have never gotten of to such a fast start. When VanGorder left UGA he was one of the lowest payed coordinators in the SEC. As the top coordinator in the country (Frank Broyles runner up and Frank Broyles recipient) and under paid way to go UGA and Damon Evans.

for georgia to be successful they are going to have to rely on the two-headed monster running game and a terrific offensive line since there is no experienced quarterback.one would think that since they had five losses it would be contributable to a freshman quarterback, that the price the dawgs paid for giving the job to 5th year senior joe cox.the dawgs played almost a flawless first half, congratulations for winning the states bragging rights back because they are huge considering how the seasonal campign was a failure.

Saturday Night was indicative of the Dawgs talent-level, albeit very young. SEC superiority was
evident once more. This Tech Team would probably be 7-5 in the Nations Best Football Conference.
Richt’s staff had the right game plan-Big time Punch ‘em in the Mouth Football. Dawgs were more dominate than the score indicated. The returning Young Talent, especially the running game, will

After all the trash talk on the UGA pages from GT fans, I guess I shouldn’t be suprised that they have all crawled back into their holes on this fine Sunday morning.
I think a UGA running back just ran past my house with a handful of GT defenders chasing after him…

So much has beeen said, and Mark Bradley was dead on in his Saturday AJC column about the Dawgs program (a must read, get it if you can), but I trace a lot back to the LSU game and the refs. Not the AJ Green call. The Orson Charles call earlier. Spectacular catch at the 5 yard line line. Then , three simple hand waves to the crowd to cheer. Nothing flagrant, by any means. No taunting, no pointing at himself, three little flips of the hand (watch the game replay if you have it) But… 15 yard excessive celebration penalty. Instead of first and goal at the 5, we go back to the 20 and eventually miss a field goal. A touchdown or chip shot field goal, and the season changes. We go from # 15 to a top 10 team. We march intoTennessee with confidence. The whole attitude of the team chages. Anyone who has played knows a lot of the game is between the ears. Instead, we drop out of the top 25. We have a referee controversy all week. We go into Tennessee totally flat and dejected. That entire crew AND the head of SEC officiating should not even be allowed to referee or oversee Rec league football. I would have a commission to at least check for some illegal betting with this crew similar to the basketball scandal. But, again as I said Mark Bradley was dead on with his column. One most excellent game last night doesn’t change anything nor does the referee scandal. Martinez still needs to go and if Sabin or Meyer jump ship to Notre Dame, I sure hope we pursue hard their Defensive coordinators. And I wouldn’t stop there. I’m sorry but Mike BOO-BOO has got to go too. We all saw what Ealy and KIng can do with straight up pounding. Now imagine having an offensive coordinator who actually knows some imaginative formations and plays to run. This is why we are still a second tier SEC team. Please Mark Richt. Stop making truck comercials, concentrate on football and get the two best coordinators you can find in the country (not from within). Do not keep Joe Cox on the staff after graduation. Loyalty is great but we want the best players on the firld. Play the BEST quarterback next year. Two final notes. SEC vs. ACC Total superiority. The advertising guys for the ACC championship must be sick to their stomach thinking how to spin this game. 5 ACC teams in the top 25 all lose yesterday. And last but not least. RUSS-You’ve already earned the honor as a “Damn fine dawg”!!!! Way to go Dawgs !!!!!

Looking through all of the comments, I saw the one for our schedule next year. That’s one more person that should be fired. Our schedule maker. Really. An open date befoe the last game of the year. What an idiot. The open date should always be the week before the Florida game. ALWAYS!!! This is about the time the players are wearing down and some are injured, and all need a rest. And history has shown that our record against Florida is better when we have that off week to prepare. And my last comment of the day. Tim Tebow is a great football player, no doubt about it. You also have to admire HIS character. BUT, I have really lost a lot of respect for him due to the truly dirty playing of Spikes. You saw where Meyer showed his true colors and basically defended the eye gouging. Tebow should have been a man and stepped up, and teammate or not, he should have said that he does not condone such dirty play. He had a chance to show the world his character, his values, and that when something is so terribly dirty, HE is not going to condone it. HE is going to speak up and call it for what it is. Actually, Meyer is so in love with Tebow, he would have said whatever Tebow told him to. And Tim, I lost a lot of respect for you that day, when you sat idly by and did not say a word. All that evil needs to prosper is for good men to say nothing.

You classless dogs reaffirm why I loathe everything about you and your institution. You can’t win or lose with class. You may think you own us, but Paul Johnson is .500 against you and I like our chances against you in the future with him, even if we have inferior talent. Go ahead and boast your dominance, we know you know how it feels. Does the Florida Gators ring a bell?

Let’s not be like Tech and gloat all year. I don’t think they deserve that kind of respect.

Hey Big G. “Classless dogs” ? At least we aren’t the classless Tech program that put last year’s final score on our rings. You guys are pathetic. And now you mention Florida? When all else fails change the subject I guess.

First of all, SHUT UP GA TECH. I love the ACC Championship now-are they playing for 7th best team in the SEC? Tech wouldn’t be .500 in the SEC.
Hopefully, the coaching improvements start tomorrow; this doesn’t change the fact that we still need two coordinators. Our DBs were way too soft, and the playcalling was still brutal in a few situations.
Why put Branden Smith at TB when things were going so well? Why throw a screen behind the line on that crucial 3rd and 3 in the 4th quarter? When you are running as well as we were you don’t need to get so darn cute. Bobo may have a place on the staff but we MUST have a mature OC as well as an entire new defensive scheme.
With the right coaches, and a decent QB, this team can be awesome next season.
And did I mention that the North Avenue Nerds can just SHUT UP!! I thought the messiah, Paul Johnson, panicked in the last two minutes. He had plenty of time to go down the field 10 or 15 yards at a time, and he threw 3 straight bombs! Stupid, stupid, stupid.
“Shift of power” my butt. Shut up nerds and GO DAWGS! 8 out of 9!

Congrats to the Georgia coaching staff for a great performance under pressure. I was glad to see Richt with his war face on, he was not ready for an early gatorade shower and I think it showed he meant business. The same goes for pulling players when they committed penalites and fumbles. This has been a Georgia team that has suffered heavily on turnovers and penalties. I think the criticism of Martinez’s defense has much of its roots in a plethora of turnovers by the offense on the short side of the field.
I hope the blind rage of a disappointed fan base doesn’t cause blame to fall in the wrong places after the season is over.
Take away our awful turnover margin and poor field position for the season and this season would have been remarkably different.
GO DAWGS!

Great win. Kudos to coaches. However, I stiil think Willie needs to go. This team would’ve been 10 and 2 with a better defense. Plus I believe with a better DC, our last 4 seasons would’ve been more succesful.
