I have to agree with Coach – Tech really sucks. 8 out of 9? Have fun in the Almost Competitive Conference championship. We won’t be covering it. Neither Tech nor Clemson deserves a BCS bowl. I’d rather watch Boise.

Dawgs should have put Tech away by early third quarter. Willie Martinez had on pass receiver to cover and he never bumped him or double teamed him. What does Martinez say at halftime. Must be “Let’s let ‘em back in the game to keep it exciting”. Damn that defense has played 2 lousy 3rd quarters! Asta la vista Willie boy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have to agree with Chris. Georgia is clearly the dominant program, and if Tech played in the SEC they would be looking up at Vandy. But, hey, Tech fans, don’t get down – have some fun tonight. Go play D & D, rent Harlod & Kumar, talk to a real live girl — do something crazy! Now if you’ll excuse me, I have my own personal pictures of Erin Andrews I have to look at.

Wanted: Position for former defensive coordinator at Division 1-A program that had great success until I took over for Brian VanGorder. Am willing to learn how to adapt game plans for upcoming opponents. Salary negotiable, would prefer to work for former college roommate. No need for moving expenses, someone was kind enough to park a moving van in front of my house tonight.

Crazy dog you caught that horrible call by Bobo also. Why not a fullback dive? Why the delayed blitz in GT’s last drive? But the future looks pretty good. Best coaching all year by Richt. That my friends was classic Georgia in your face football. Tailback U has been revived. I like the emotion and CMR staying into every play. Go dawgs! Great end to a very disappointing season. I CMR would have coached like that all year we would have had at least 3 more wins!

Dear bugs – consider yourselves exterminated. UGA won because, well…how do I say this delicately… they’re just better people than you are. Nothing personal.
P.S. 8 out of 9.

No negatives tonight. Defense still with plenty problems, but CMR and CWM should celebrate a great night after a difficult season. Changes gotta be made but enjoy the weekend. Love the effort from the players; they have the talent, no doubt!
Start a petition for Russ! Saw him walk over and drop his own name in the hat. Said he could get used to this life. PS to PETA: if you had to be reincarnated as an animal, what would you rather be? The life of UGA and the frequent stud services??? Gotta be in your top three!

This game is a tribute to Richt in that he rallied the team and coaches to this victory in the midst of a lot of complaining by the Dawg Nation. But lest he have any second thoughts – The Dawg Nation wishes CWM well in his next assignment somewhere else!

WE WANT TO MAKE SURE WE DON’T RESEMBLE GT’S TEAM OR FANS FROM LAST YEAR. THEY WON, BUT THEY DIDN’T KNOW HOW TO BE A GOOD WINNER. I AM VERY GLAD WE WON, BUT NOW WE NEED TO MOVE ON. IF YOU ARE REALLY THE SUPERIOR PROGRAM REMEMBER YOU DON’T TAUNT THE OTHER TEAM. COACH MARK RICHT HAS ALWAYS SET A GREAT EXAMPLE. FOLLOW HIS LEAD. GO DAWGS

Try to show a little class in the victory. Yes we won, but it was a great game. Like last year, this was not some runaway rout, and we shouldn’t act like it was just because a small handful of obnoxious Tech fans (and possibly other schools with an axe to grind) were running their mouths in vain last year
And no, Bobo was not wrong throwing a screen pass on. Not every play works out, but most did this night, and he deserves credit for the win. As for Martinez, we had a down year. Scapegoating the coach is crap and I assure you we lose some recruits because of it. How many of those high scores against us were the result of turnovers by the offense (directly due to pick 6 and/or short fields) and how many were the result of a tired defense getting thrown back out there, time and time again when it wasnt a short field situaution?
If there is anything that can be said it is that, for yet another year under Coach Richt, we had a first-time starting QB, and that trend will continue next year. I love him for his loyalty to the players, but if there is criticism to be had, sometimes that level of loyalty to the one player is done at the expense of what is best for the team that year or at least the following year. And as hard as it is to accept, the program is about this year but also about the future. There has to be a balance, and it isn’t always the easiest decision. Either way, this year we had a first time starter; however going a different direction, either early or at least after the season fell off track, could have spared us another first time starter at QB next year. Instead, we get yet another season where we have to expect bumps in the road and inconsistencies need to expected. My biggest worry is next year we see Logan Gray as a one and done starter, and right about the time he gets some experience and improves, we repeat the cycle the following year with Aaron and/or Zach. I was the first to complain when Shockley came in for Green and killed the momentum of that Florida game several years ago; boy was I wrong.
Congratulations to the Dawgs! Go enjoy some well deserved adulation, and hopefully the team gets to enjoy a good bowl trip even if it wasn’t the one we all were hoping for.

Hate to say it, but as a Dawgs fan….the Dawgs still were not very good. Cox stunk up the place. But it shows the difference between the ACC and SEC. UGA was good enough to hang on, and thanks for another thrilling Ga-Ga Tech game. There STILL must be major changes in the staff!

Good job dawgs. Great 4 quarter intensity. Johnson screwed up at the end with the passing. Kick coverage kept Jackets in the game. Center of D line absolutely dominated and made tech’s only option to go outside. Now, if only the DBs could tackle. Willie still needs to go…gave up 24 and they had a chance to win the game at the end.

Good game plan offensively, give a bunch of credit to to the O line, they opened some big holes, physical smash mouth football, it would have been a much different season with the kind of running attack we have seen the last 4 games, would have taken a lot of pressure off Cox and the defense. Now to the harsh reality, the upset win still leaves a verrrrry disappointing 7-5 season, and Dawg fans should be thankful that Tech had a serious play calling brain f-rt when it decided to try 3 consecutive long passes with 1:50 left and having 1 timeout, they had plenty of time to keep running the ball, and the outcome might have been different; Coach Richt MUST do what is right for the program, and make a change at defensivecoordinator.

The person who needs to be fired is Damon Evans. Damon Evans is the reason Brian VanGorder is not at UGA. Damon Evans along with the UGA Athletic Association filed a law suit against VanGorder when Brian left UGA for the NFL. What a nice going away present for VanGorder and his five kids. a $90,000.00 law suit. If it wasn’t for VanGorders defense during the first four years of the Mark Richt helm UGA would have never gotten of to such a fast start. When VanGorder left UGA he was one of the lowest payed coordinators in the SEC. As the top coordinator in the country (Frank Broyles runner up and Frank Broyles recipient) and under paid way to go UGA and Damon Evans.

for georgia to be successful they are going to have to rely on the two-headed monster running game and a terrific offensive line since there is no experienced quarterback.one would think that since they had five losses it would be contributable to a freshman quarterback, that the price the dawgs paid for giving the job to 5th year senior joe cox.the dawgs played almost a flawless first half, congratulations for winning the states bragging rights back because they are huge considering how the seasonal campign was a failure.

Saturday Night was indicative of the Dawgs talent-level, albeit very young. SEC superiority was
evident once more. This Tech Team would probably be 7-5 in the Nations Best Football Conference.
Richt’s staff had the right game plan-Big time Punch ‘em in the Mouth Football. Dawgs were more dominate than the score indicated. The returning Young Talent, especially the running game, will
enable the Dawgs to be a Top 1- Team in 2010.. Woof ! Woof!

Tech’s receiver Thomas ( # 8 ) learned a valuable lesson last night. When UGA’s Boykin ( # 2 ) was called for pass interference against Thomas in the end zone in the 2nd half, Boykin got up and walked away….Thomas had to go out of his way to come back around and to talk smack to Boykin.
Guess you ran that mouth a little too much last night…Maybe you should focus on catching the ball instead of trash talking…Ha-ha…the football Gods gotcha.

The Dawgs just whipped our termite butts at the line of scrimmage and showed that the SEC is far superior to the pitiful ACC in football. Things in the world are slowly beginning to normalize as the Dawgs whip the Jackettes once again. I guess this is another normal year of whining, crying and bitterness for the JacketteVillage as the Dawgnation Rules again!

UGA just proved that Tech played a pattycake schedule in a second rate conference. Even with Martinez and Cox the Dawgs would’ve come into the game undefeated playing Tech’s easy schedule!
Georgia Tech vs Clemson for the ACC title. Both Tech and Clemson are barely better than Vanderbilt! Conference USA may be better than the ACC.
