Just played a superior team. Give it to the Saints. A Falcon Fan.

Coach Smith had a chance to put major pressure on the Saints but instead of going for the TD on 4th down he made another bad call in going for a FG. Coach Smith brought a knife(FG) to a gun fight (TD) thats why we lost. Instead of taking the chances to put this team in position to win the coach wimped out. Ryan has a problem LOCKING on one WR or TE then he tries to force the ball. Once Ryan takes one big hit he puts on his skates and rushes everything. This team just lost any chance of getting into the Playoffs!!!!

The Falcons played the WHOLE game tonight and yet lost. Some mistakes, but capitalized and caused some for the Saints. Sometimes you play great and still lose. I gotta give to them, an exciting game to the very end.

Even them a break guys, the played what may be the best team in the NFL and gave them all they wanted. Yes, we made some mistakes but so did NO. And the gamblers are happy = the beat the spread….

Cedrick, obviously you are not very football intelligent. That was a well coached, well fought game, the Falcons just came up short. The Saints were the better team tonight. To go into a Monday night game against an undefeated team that nobody has has come close to beating, and have a shot to win it… I can’t ask for anything more as a fan. A couple years back, this team would have folded like a cheap suit. Good things are ahead for this Falcons squad!

WOW how can the defense and offense have a good rating but they lost the game. Matt Ryan stunk the field up bad throws and holding on to the football toooo long. Third bad game in a row for Ryan. Please explain how a QB rating of 46.6 is playing great. By the way Drew Brees QB rating 111.7.

Falcons will not win 8 games this year…Because Ryan is really struggling and seems to be playing scared..Jenkins got his big contract and then reverted back to dropping too many passes…secondary couldn’t cover grandma…Abe is a non-factor….Elam is over the hill.

Falcons will lose to Redskins this Sunday by 7…..We live in Loserville, USA

Great game. We kick the 2 field goals and MAtty doesn’t throw the 2nd pick and we probably win.
Way back in the day before we picked Matty in the draft…the skinny on him was he threw alotta picks. We are seeing that side of him now that we have played some quality opponents, and we are going to have to live with it.
But to his credit, he comes right back and goes to work.
The offense played much better(Turner,Gonzo)but we still need better #2,#3 receviers.
The off season for BIRDS will be very interesting if we cut some non productive weight and move on.
Gotta send love to Brent Grimes for that amaaaazzzzzzing sky he got on the pick. Awesome man, cause he IS one small dude up close, but real fat in his play.

Vick fans, get the F*** over yourself, Gee Wizzz!!!!!! Vick could’nt hold Ryan’s jock. Vick doesn’t have the intelligence to be a good Qb in the NFL and I seriously doubt he will EVER be a starting QB in the League again!!
The Saints are just that good right now. yes, Ryan made some bad throws, but our D-Backs have been our achilles from day one!! Chris Houston SUCKS and Grimes is just too small. he has heart, desire, and spunk, but he is the Falcons version of Rudy

Ryan is really struggling and this seems to happen a lot when first year guys do well and then are asked to do more and become a bigger part of the offense. His TD was a prayer and could have been just as easily picked off along with a few other of his passes. He’ll very likely still be a good player some day, but it may take some time.

For weeks all we cryed was Michael Turner needs to be benched. Yet, as I have said before most teams prepare for the Birds and M. Turner. Now Turner steps up in primetime and Matty Ice after a hit or two is rattled and seems to play like a scared man. Matty Ice has shown signs of greatness but he Can Not continue to have the love affair for Tony G. The Defense showed a lot of grit tonight against the highest scoring team in the league. But I still can not for the love of my life understand where are the screens, the slot reciever, more throws down field. I think after the last play (throw) of the game, I see Matty Ice Lacks the arm to make the throws. Yes, he will be good in the future but we need him now, Today!!!!

I would not call the Saints a superior team You have a quaterback that doesn’t throw 2 intereceptions and a field goal kicker that missed two chances at scoring you win that game. But teams that do that beat themselves and therefor are very sorry. A real football team that takes pride and goes out and goes for the throat doesn’t loose these last two weeks. It’s great they can beat the average and the sisters of the poor but until you can beat the big boys you are wimps that don’t deserve one dime of what you are stealing out of Arthur Blank’s wallet.

Simply put, Matt & our receivers lost this game for us. I love my Falcons, but I am disapointed. We should have had this game period.

November 3rd, 2009

We lost the game with bad play calling and Matt Ryan especially trying to hard at the end. They should have ran the ball in but instead another interception, and at least Vick can run my mother in law runs faster than he does. He looked like a scared deer in the night. I just don’t know very upset with Elam also. Some players on the team just give up when something happens bad but I still love the team.

Mark I agree with you about how slow Matt Ryan ran Tom Brady does move faster and we thought he was slow.

I’m still confounded that with 2 timeouts in our pocket, that the Falcs coaches didn’t use one to protect ~ 40 seconds before the first half’s two minute warning. That could have made a difference in a controlled attack down field to score vs the riskier plays Ryan was forced to take. Having been on the sidelines and served as a staffer in the legislature, I understand game pressure. But that is why you find your procedural guru to advise Smitty and to think on multiple levels even in the heat of the moment. As proof that this is important, think of the PHI game last year where, without a time out, we couldn’t compel a booth review on that horrid punt reception that didn’t hit the returner’s foot. Other teams get it wrong as well. Both PHI & DC have called for their “4th time out” and suffered a “delay of game” penalty.

The Falcon’s defensive secondary stinks. And I mean badly. They are not able to match-up with the NFL’s new breed of receivers. Take a look at Marques Colston for example. He’s 6′4″ and towers over our corners and safeties, and when it comes to defending the pass against receivers that size, the Falcons don’t stand a chance. The Falcons have also shown they are incapable of drafting a defensive back that has not patterned his style after Deion Sanders…(minus the speed or the shut-down threat.) I’m making a plea to Mr. Arthur Blank on behalf of all that is sacred and good. Please sir, please, draft at least two shut down defensive backs. Make some trades. Make some business decisions. Do something. There’s no excuse for what the New Orleans Saints receivers did to our Falcons last night. If that did not expose the secondary in your eyes, nothing will.

The defensive seconday and Starting QB need to be benched. PERIOD. Ryan has been and probably will always be just adaquate.

I thought Matty played well considering the pressure he received from NO. I was impressed with the way the offense positioned themselves to score at the end – thought Bartkowski was about to do it again. I think they’ll be ready when NO goes to Atlanta. Saints – Falcons, always exciting.

Stop hating. The Falcons played hard, but the Saints played harder. They both made mistakes.. but the better team won. Just admit that N.O. has a great team this year. and South GA don’t worry we will whip that AZZ in yall dome. The division is already ours. Trust me the Saints will step up their game, hell yall got real desperate towards the end and started playing dirty. But it’s cool… 7-0 and what yall are …… 4 – 3.. and soon to be 4- 4.. Trust me! We got this.. LMAO

Why do you guys want to throw Ryan under the bus? He played a good game. NO was just better, period.

I remember a few games ago Drew Breeze threw several picks and it almost cost them two games. NO is on a GOOD Lucky streak with lots’ of talent to boot. Definitely a contender for the Superbowl.

Let’s see how New England and Brady play them or how Farve will play them in the playoff’s….Remember we get another chance in our house. Maybe we get the Zebra calls this time our way!

I love The Falcons and they played a good game, so what if the Saints are 7-0 It wont last!!! And please know when they come to the Ga. Dome a rematch and we will win!!!!! Lets see how they play Tom Brady and the Patriots 11/30/09. So enjoy this luck now, If you make it to the super bowl you wont win!!!!! and I hope the money from the tickets sale go to your city so you guys can leave ATLANTA!!!!!

Ok now i get it… All these cry babies complaining about the refs… Well Roddy pushed of on his long touchdown.. Face it folks, The Falcons are a 4-3 middle of the road team. Matt Ryan is a plain jane, average QB that has gotten alot of hype for nothing. Stop blaming everybody else. Your team is blah, and you QB is suspect… He has never beaten a top flight team. Grow up and just accept it, 7-9 or 8-8 will be just fine for this bunch of 2nd teamers….

November 3rd, 2009
9:09 am

People, will get over it?

M. Ryan was under the gun all night long and still had a chance to win the game. The Saints are a better TEAM than the Falcons this year. The Saints will beat the Falcons when they come to the dome too THIS YEAR because the Saints have a better team. The Falcons still need some more parts (another db, pass rusher, tight end, a wide receiver who doesn’t drop balls, and better kick resturner, and a younger kicker.) Give T. D and Mike Smith another year or two.

And to all of the Vick people (yes I am a fan of the man still), please let it go. M. Vick has move on to another city and so should we. M. Ryan is good qb. M. Vick’s departure was because of his own actions. He has honed up to it. He is not coming back to the team. The team has moved on. We as fans need to as well. Let it go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Aint’s fans, don’t come here attacking us to justify barely winning a game you should have put away in the first half. You have been exposed. This should have been a game you “win” by 30 points. What happened?

We have a make shift defense, half of which we just pulled from Kroger and put on the field and you only scored 7 points in the second half?
What happened? But, But, But……….. You were exposed.

I’m not expecting the Falcons to do much this year. I didn’t think before the season that they would even have a winning record because of the difficulty of their schedule. They Aint’s have had this team together since 2006 and what do they have to show for it?? Crickets……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….

Hopefully we just helped Dallas and New England. I hope they trash the Aint’s!

You haters are simply retarded. All emotion and no rational thought. You have no idea what you are talking about and do not deserve for your opinions to be heard. Finish your cereal and go back down to your mom’s basement so you can play 17 more games of Madden. The only football you know you learned from Playstation.

Falcons should have won this game!! The Saints made uncharacteristic turnovers and the Falcons failed to take advantage of them. As much as I hate to say it, Matt Ryan is looking shakier with each game. Why does he insist on forcing passes to Tony Gonzalez? Turner should have been called to run for a touchdown, after that spectacular run he made, instead of Ryan forcing the throw to Tony that got intercepted. When are we getting a new place kicker? Elam has failed us too many times. Great Monday Night Game, though.

Scott you have got to be kidding me. Matt is doing fine. You need to get over the fact that Michael Vick want be coming back to the Falcons.

I love Matt Ryan, and think that he will work wonders for the franchise. However, over the course of the last few games, he has seemed to lose a lot of his patience or “coolness” in the pocket. He made some hasty throws/reads last night and almost stepped into a few sacks that he could have clearly avoided. I know the Saints were showing some different blitz packages last night, but I think Matt thought he had less time than he actually did on numerous occasions.

I have never been more proud of the Falcon’s effort than during this game. Maybe somethings could have been done differently, called differently or had better outcomes. But effort wise, I think this is hands down the best showing of our teamTEAM ever, in my humble opinion.

I could care less about the loss. Finally a QB with class that will get better. A coach with passsion and a desire to be successful. A GM with balls to make a decision. (Ryan, Gonzalez, Turner). Throw the records out. This year the schedule is brutal, but this group is headed in the right direction.
