Florida is very beatable. If Arkansas had a place kicker, or if they played the QB draw on third downs more often, it would be curtains for the Gators. The Dawgs beat Arkansas more convincingly on the raod than the Gators did at home!

I am Dawg fan but i gotta admit, that win wasn’t impressive. Why not? Because we did all the same things we have been doing all year. We cannot run the ball, we have defenders standing around, and we are leaderless. If the only adjustment Bobo is going to make is wear he is standing, I’m not impressed. I just don’t see things changing. I did enjoy seeing a little more pressure and a better job tackling but you really can’t the significance of those changes based on who we were playing. Remember, this was Vandy, who got beat by the Coast Guard last week. I can’t get excited until I see some changes against a tougher team. Not knocking Vandy, but it did appear like a high-school game – dropped passes, poor running, and poor execution at times. I will take a loss to the rest of the schedule to just to beat the fags in yellow!

Dawgs, you played a great game against, well, a team that lost to ARMY last week. You have two weeks to get ready for Fla. Remember the embrassing hits and trash talking they did to you (Moreno), last year. Showed over and over again on TV even during the national chamipionship game. If you don’t pay back that linebacker you don’t have a PAIR! Not to mention Stafford on his back holding his hand out to a Fla player for a hand up and he acts like he will pull him up and then slaps away Staffords hand. Disgusting!!!!!!!!!!! Play like you ‘Gotta Pair’, don’t be gators Bitch this year, win or lose!

Well it is a win over Vandy a bottom feeder and we are feeding about a foot above them.
Maybe we can get it all together in the next 2 weeks and upset Fl.

Takedowndawg – I agree, great to see the coaches on the sidelines, I actually think Bobo needs to stay there for the rest of the season. Something to be said of connecting with your players physically instead of just a phone call. Also enjoyed seeing how fired up Richt was before the game with the players. Let’s be happy we got the W and get ready to play UF – if Arkansas can play them that close in the swamp…
Still need some coaching changes, but overall it was a step in the right direction. Great to see all the underclassman that got playing time today – keep it up Richt! I got excited for next season and the young Bulldawg team.

If you lift the QBs redshirts now you are saying we want them to only have 3 years plus a few meaningless games. We also scored 34 on Vandy tell me what other team has done that. Vandy is not elite but we beat them a good defensive team by rolling up lots of points. The entire team played well I don’t think beating the number 22 ranked D in the country by 24 points should be taken as lightly as you guys say. So the guy that said grow balls and go for style pts go screw yourself. Saban,Meyer,Miles, and Spurrier can drop 60 on every opponent they like but it proves only one thing. None of them have enough respect for the game or their opponents to be allowed to be coaches. If you are up 34-10 shut it down because you know what any points beyond that is just meant to be a slap in the face of the other team. The game is about strength and mutual respect for each others effort not who can be the biggest duchebag for poll points. Anyone who thinks otherwise is less than garbage and should go be dumped on some island alone to starve.

The dawgs defense played better except for the first drive of the second half. The big uglies on the offensive line need to get upset and pissed off and change their fortunes running the ball. We have two weeks before gator bait. If Blair Walsh kicks one more kickoff out of bounds he needs to be benched. WE NEED TO PLAY ASSIGNMENT FOOTBALL and we can win the rest of our games!

Well it was a much needed win. I don’t acre if it was against Alcorn State Tech. It is a step in the right direction. Let’s lay off the bad-mouthing and give the guys a chance to enjoy the victory and see how we regroup against FL…who should have lost to Arky today. Until then, everyone just take a deep breath. I don’t want to beat the gators. I want them chopped up and served for dinner. I want a new belt and pair of Alligator shoes. I want Tim Tebow doing a Colt Brennan impersonation, hiding his face in a towel in the fourth quarter. I want the potential that this team has to rise to the surface and beat the Gators like the stole something. I want Red and Black to cover Jacksonville like a blanket and wash away the memories of the miserable first half of this season.
All that said, I don’t see it happening, but I’ll be there just the same in two weeks. GO YOU HAIRY DAWGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Playing Vandy is like playing a big 10 school.. You can get your 10 wins every year and get Ohio State ranking. I love Vandy, great school, campus and in a great city but not top shelf on the playing field.

Jeb,
The SEC network is on in HD….you just didn’t look for it.
The officials in the UF/Ark game were absolultely terrible. They did all they could to keep UF in the game. They literally gave UF 30 yards in penalties on that last TD drive. The Tebow lovefest continues. Joe Haden’s a very good player; but he’s always hanging on the receivers and never gets called for it. In the LSU/UF game, the reason why Cooper was so wide open on the go ahead TD was because he grabbed the defenders jerseys to get separation. I have no idea how the officials didn’t see it.
And AJ Green gets a celebration penalty in that huge catch against LSU. We don’t get a break with the officials and UF gets them all.
Dawgs go to Jax and upset Florida and the officials!!!!

WHY OH WHY are there tech people on this blog masking as Dawg fans? (Probably the same person?)
Last time I checked the scoreboard read 34-10 before leaving the stadium in 42 degree wind blowing bone chilling weather. Glad to see the sun in the 4th qtr.
The last win of the year? Just color you stupid.
To all the ‘real’ UGA fans on this board. 34-10 is better than beating them at the last minute like we have for years. I’m glad I didn’t have to stress out finally for a win. CWM is gone at the end of they year and everyone knows it so relax and pull for the dawgs!

The SEC can not be the best football conference in the Nation…NO WAY…Not with piss poor officiating I have seen this year. The personal foul on the Ark d-lineman was a joke and I cant believe that a real conference would have officals on the field that make a BS call like that…It is a joke. And Tebow goes nuts after a first down and spends 2 minutes “bringing attention to himself” and no Unsportsmnlike call and Charles and Green get one for that $hit against LSU. The SEC has a huge problem on their hands….officating is dictating the outcome of games. No other conf does that. SEC officiting is a joke

Zap- It is because we do love the Dogs so much and we hate seeing them not play up to their talent level that sometimes one needs to make tough decisions for the betterment of the whole.
So if you wish to wallow in mediocrity, then have at it because you REALLY are not a true fan and maybe YOU should find another team. Only a a fan who does not care for the DAWGS would put up with this type of pathetic play.
Go have some fun at http://www.dawgstephen.blogspot.com where everything is just dandy in the Dawg world. There are pony rides, a ferris wheel, and cotton candy for you those like you. A place where you can “love your dogs good or BAD”.

8 penalties, the spiked ball AND subsequent penalty. When are the guys gonna get it thru their head that there are things that will NOT be tolerated. We must have a lot of ADD players. We are gonna be watched VERY closely by the refs, might as well get used to it.

SEC passing leaders (in order of “quarterback rating”):
Tim Tebow, 1032 yards, 8 TD, 65.5 completion percentage.
Ryan Mallett, 1649 yards, 14 TD, 55.1% completion.
Jordan Jefferson, 1016 yards, 7 TD, 62.8% completion.
Joe Cox, 1581 yards, 13 TD, 57.4% completion.
What would Joe Cox’s numbers be IF the Dawgs actually had a strong running game to keep defenses honest?

Let’s be positive bout thuh dawgs….they suck at best!! sportswriter in knoxville (chuck cavalaris) says that other than the dawgs being the lowest in almost every categorie not only in SEC and way down the list nationally, they are just plain dumb. Dumb players do dumb things like spiking the ball, chop blocking and hitting an opposing player out of bounds. Corrections of this comes with coaching. Where is it??

We won. It was Vanderbilt. The only thing we did was to not embarass ourselves further. The coaches did do a few things differently but we still are not tackleing well, the offensive line is pathetic. Evans still can’t cover anyone and we got fooled again by a trick play and too many penalties again. Week in and week out I think this is the least prepared UGA team I have ever seen. Lots of penalities=dumb players or poorly coached players. Take your pick.
I know these comments are harsh but there is no excuse for our program to be in this nose dive. Let’s see some real effort and real coaching in two weeks against Florida.

Zap read my statement and see if you can understand…the reason true DAWG fans get upset is they want the best out of out of players and the coaching staff! I don’t let my child settle for a C grade when I know she is capable of an A…do you just settle…. when we know they are much more capable? WE HAVE HAD SOME OF THE BEST RECRUITING CLASSES IN THE NATION…..Coach Richt needs the best O and D coordinators money can buy…we have the talent…not the coaching….Defense gets worse every year under Martinez….we just gave up more yards and points to Vandy than any other team in the SEC…..Yea! Got Ya! I’m glad we won of course….I want A’s not C’s!!!DO you get it now or do still plan to settle?

Dawgs got the win (as they should have), but Offense looked like garbage in that 1st Qtr. The Defense played pretty well, but still missing a few tackles. The Dawgs should at least beat TN Tech, and maybe UK. There’s a slight change we could catch Awbarn…but it’s doubtful.
For you folks alluding to UGA’s recruiting classes, bear in mind that many recruiting services (like Rivals) grossly overrate many of these players. Supposed 5 Star players like Jasper Sanks & Marquis Elmore scrub out whilst 3 star recruits (like David Pollack) being All-Americans. Don’t put too much stock in these recruiting services.

TexasDawg knows what he’s talking about. I’ve been telling my misguided bullpup friends for years that Saint Richt was just an average coach at best, but they were all drinking the kool-aid until last year when you guys got whipped in every big game you played. Every time I’ve said to them “how do you get more players drafted into the NFL than any other team but don’t ever have anything to show for it?” either the excuses start pouring out or they think about it then tell me “I just can’t explain it.”
I’m a Tech fan and the only reason we didn’t beat the Richtster for 5 out of the last 7 years was not having a decent QB and a coach who played not to lose instead of playing to win – and even in many of those games, Richt’s coaching allowed us to be poised to win with his poor play calling and abhorrent time management skills. We got a good QB last year and look what happened, and he’s gonna lead our team to victory again this year behind a coach who won’t take excuses and actually takes responsibility for and pride in the product he puts on the field – and NO – you can’t have Coach Johnson, find your own coach who cares about something other than his tan and shilling for jesus & carpet warehouse, loganville jeep, etc.

MountainDawg….there is a direct coralation between team recruiting rankings and how successful teams are. It’s a fact. Look at USC…look at Fla…The data proves that on average more 4 star and 5 star players make it at the d1 one and Pro level….NO I’M NOT SAYING THAT “ALL” 5 STAR PLAYERS WIND UP BEING GREAT….I’m not saying Richt is an average Coach …Don’t put words in my mouth…what I’m saying is that he needs a better d and o coordinator. Look at what Pete Carrol has done at USC since his great assistants have left….we need a new staff not a new head coach.

Richt actually spoke to a couple palyers this game but there is still no connection. The man is wothless during the games and who knows if he does anything in preparation since there is liitle signs of it. This game looked just like the previous games except we played Vandy. And yes I am a true fan but I want the dawgs to play their best and that’s not what we’re getting from the coaches. These players cannot overcome the lack of coaching like the previous couple of years.
