I love it when Atlanta puts up 45 plus on the 49rs after all those years of suffering watching them run up the scores on us. Great win today.

What a great effort by the entire team. Ryan, Gonzo, White, Dahl, The Burner, Lofton etc….etc…etc… And not to forget the coaches. Just a great team effort. Stand by Chicago!

Mmmm, the guys made great plays in this one. Roddy nice catches, Turner good runs, Tony’s catches, Ryan’s good passes is what put this game away early. Coaching still needs some work though, they need to figure out how to use all those good running backs more to open up offense more.

Yeah i got tired of the announcers as well…even though the niners defense had played well they didn’t seem to willing to elaborate on the fact that there offense had been average at best leading the league in 3 & outs…all n all great…would like to see Weems be a little more aggressive when he handles kickoffs and punts!!

Falcons looked good today in most areas of the game. Only two negatives -Roddy White’s somer-saulting after the long TD catch and Matt Ryan spiking the ball in the end zone after his score. There’s no place in sports for ‘hot-dogging.’ After scoring – show some class and hand the ball to the official like Coach Bryant once taught us at Alabama. I feel spiking the ball should be a15 yard penalty. I realize most teams do it after scoring but it shows lack of class.

It still amazes me that announcers around the League usually seem to prefer one team over the other. They seemed frustrated because there really was nothing nice to say about the Niners. I got a tweet from a friend at the game (cheering for the Niners). Knowing that I joined the Harvey Dahl for Pro Bowl Facebook page. He said Dahl could have been flagged several times before. Basically, it appeared to him that the ref finally just threw it on a marginal play to make the point that playing up until the whistle … really had to stop at the whistle. It was really great to see MR2 over there with Dahl once he left the game.

Great win for the Falcons in San Fran today. It was a great team effort. I’m sure now there will be more fair weather fans jumping on the bandwagon. Even the usual haters have been silenced today. GO FALCONS and let’s have another win this coming Sunday night at the GA Dome.

Open up the offense more ?????
What I wish was a penalty are the players doing the officiating, especially after a fumble.

Fantastic Game Falcons!!! Oh yeah, I hope Coach Smith has an old door mat with a Falcon’s logo on it the 49ers used in the 80s and 90s and burns it at the next team meeting. The Falcons are nobody’s easy win on the schedule any more. With a 3-1 record .750 this is very good first quarter of the season. Next goal; get the “back to back winning seasons” monkey off our backs!

glad I’m not the only one who thought the announcers were overly biased for San Francisco. Good Lord! It as so obvious, almost as bad as the bias in the press against conservative Americans!

Falcon fans calm down. The NFL isn’t going to cancel the season and make the Falcons the Super Bowl champs. You have to earn it. Like the Steelers have, a record 6 times.

This game wasn’t coaching, wasn’t Harvey Dahl getting in the players and/or coaches head. It was one thing and one thing only (which everything else trickled down from). This is a QB League and one team has a franchise QB and the other doesn’t. I’m sure everyone can figure out who has which.

I alomost felt sorry for Singletary and the 49ers at some point. Then I had a harsh flash back to Charles “scorched earth” Dimry and all those painful Sunday’s watching Montana and Young pad their stats against clearly over matched Falcons teams.

Karma is a tough one isnt it boys!

Go Falcons!

Now I’m glad I won’t have to hear how “great” the niner’s defense is for awhile, that was annoying. Whose defense wouldn’t look playing the weak opponents (outside of the Vikes who beat them and nearly put 30 pts up on them btw) that they have. The media was just propping them up so high even though they haven’t played anyone and when that was the case last year that same media couldn’t wait to point out how weak the comp we played and how our schedule was so soft. How was this any different than what the niners faced? Yet, there they were trying to act as if they were world beaters all of sudden with a schedule just as soft. Anyway, welcome back to earth 49er fans! At least have a winning season and make the playoffs once b4 you thump your chest so hard next time. Singletary is the best thing to have happened to you in awhile but until you rope in the knuckleheads like Dre Bly in, you still have a way to go.

GOOD JOB FALCONS!! GOOD JOB MATTY ICE, TURNER, RODDY, GONZO, O-LINE, DEFENSE, AND THE ENTIRE COACHING STAFF!!!

The falcons have looked really solid with Coach Smith @ the helm!!!! Twenty seven years after the Smith family fired the winningest coach in Falcon history,Leeman Bennett! It’s nice to see some steady play!!! It was surely great to do that to the niners!!!!!! The next three games are huge!!!! Bears,Cowboys & Saints! Go Bird’s!!!Thanks to coach Smith!

I couldn’t listen to this announcing team for more than the first quarter, muted it the rest of the way. Based on these other comments it looks like I just missed more of the same. Some of the most one sided announcing I’ve heard in 40 years of being an NFL fan.

It’s one thing to be in a teams corner a little, completely another to ignore the great job the Falcons did in preparing for the game and the total domination of the O line…it was really insulting to hear Darryl Johnston wailing about how poor the 49′ers were playing, rather than acknowledging that the Falcons were kicking their butt!!…very disrespectful.

What a great game by the Falcons. They rose to the challenge and beat a team with a winning record and a highly vaunted defense on the road. Great reads by Mattie Ice, great runs by Burner and what a game by Roddy. As someone who remembers Jim Mitchell at tight end, it is great to see Gonzales getting the catches he has at the TE position. Kudos to the defense for the pressure they put on Shaun Hill all game. Finally, hats off to the coaches who came up with the plays and made the adjustments throughout the game to frustrate the efforts of the 49ers. GO FALCONS.

Coming off a bye week and a disappointing play vs the Pats – everything was in play which would allow Mike and his staff to put a team on the field with a great plan and a great attitude. Mike and Tom have the right kind of people in their locker room – our defense is too young to be championship caliber yet, but they can and will get better each week. In the next 6 weeks we will play two team which clearly have a better talent level ( Giants and the Saints) two team which should be a toss up, ( Bears and Cowboys) and two team we are slightly better than (Skins and Panthers) – we need to win four out of the 6. Remember” the best team does not always win, it’s the team which plays the best.”

I thought it was great listening to Daryll Johnston wailing and crying all game long. I thought I heard him say he was gonna take his football and go home. It was kinda like the Falcons giving the announcers a beat down as well as the Niners. Anyway, great job Birds! All around team effort.

This was a great turn around and their is a lot of credit due to the players, but the greatest credit goes back to Coach Smith and his assistants for their effort in getting it done. TD, who has been under some crticism must have also done some good things with the draft and FA pick ups-like last year. GO FALCONS-GO SOUTHERN RUSH !!!!!!!!!!!

When are the sportscasters going to start taking the Falcons seriously? We have a damn good team and we don’t win games just because the opposing team is having a bad day!!!

Matt Ryan in a few more years will be a superstar quarterback. I saw him at BC and with no recievers he still lead them to victory after victory. I am a Patriot fan but I root for the Falcons!
