I think ricth has a man crush on Cox, Willie, and Bobo. At least he finally got Cox out of the game. Put a freshman in let him learn screw the redshirt…. where is the guy saying hey were 3-3-0 things couldn’t look better.. what an embarrasment to UGA the SEC and the state of Georgia….

Mark Richt should be embarrased. Both coordinators should be fired. And not that it had any effect on the outcome, but why wasn’t Tennessee flagged for celebration when the entire team was on the field dancing?

Another beatdown in Knoxville as two years ago. It almost seems that Mark needs to start this program all over from scratch. I hate to start call for heads to roll and I’m not but something is wrong in Athens. Is this the result of redshirting players year after year and not getting them playing experience. Right not I’m just so disgusted I just don’t know.

GA’s high school offense versus a NFL defense. LMFAO, is UGA ever going to get a offensive TD? Never!

Ha Ha Ha. Defense sux, coaching sux! What a poor display of football from UGA!

CMR, I hear you’re tired of the fans questioning you. How about this, go to FSU where you belong, we don’t want your arrogant, narcissistic ego anymore! You, your bud Willie, and Bobo gotta go!

To you kool aid drinkers, what excuse do you have now? Worst QB in NCAA, worst offense in NCAA and they beat us by 26. LMFAO Still I will say the D only gave up 29 of those points, special teams sored 2 and defense did score 7.

What a joke.

CMR backed up Jim Kelley at Miami for a reason, obvious from today’s offensive implosion. And this is the reason he ain’t in the NFL and never will be, to spell it out for you, it his his High School Offense!!!!

You will have to skip church tomorrow to practice the “conversation” you have to have with Willie and Mike tomorrow after lunch. Leave your Bible at home and do what you HAVE to do. Now.

Your lack of focus has allowed Florida, Alabama, and LSU to stroll right by you the last 4 years. You had it all in 2005 and you simply got SOFT. It will be another generation before Georgia is a factor.

I am sick and tired of CMR not stepping up and saying “Hey maybe would should try something different, maybe this Joe Cox kid needs to go back to the Bench.” Of course not, instead the entire bulldawg nation is forced to put up with the same crap year in and year out. CMR if you were a real headcoach you wouldn’t be happy with the direction we are going and you should stop with the constant support for Bobo and Martinez. They might be good Christian family guys and there might be a special place in heaven for them, but your job isn’t to be headcoach of good character, it’s to lead our BullDawgs to victory and Championships. I have never been a 1/4 Willie Martinez fan. You could see the defense get worse immediately when he took it over. They went from an attacking, aggressive defense to what you see now. Bobo has never impressed me either. But I have always been a Richt fan. Until now. It looks like the entire regime needs to go. If I were Evans, I would either let them all go, or give Richt an ultimatum to change coordinators on both sides of the ball.

I’m a graduate, a fan and a long time season ticket holder. This coaching staff is a mess. The coaching chemistry is horrible. One of many problems is there is no fire, no enthusiasm and no downright fear caused by any of them. One of the top three positions has to be a hell fire and brimstone type guy like Van Gorder. The top three has to be broken up to find the right mix of coaching personalities. Martinez has to go now.
I also agree that it is time to start playing the quarterback of the future. Heck, play all three of them. I doubt that many of us out here care at this point if we go 5-7 versus the 6-6 we are headed for if it means finding our 2010 quarterback. That being said, this team really needs the extra weeks of practice going to a bowl would allow them. This team doesn’t deserve to go to a bowl but it does need the practice hopefully putting in the new defensive coordinator’s package.

I just can’t understand our pass coverages, I think CWM does not either. What an embarrasment our program has become. MARK! Not surprised at all!! I saw this one coming from a mile away. The loud mouthed freshman coach just lifted up Richt’s black mini skirt and gave him the boning we all needed to see. What is this fellow UGA fans???? This team IS!!!! talented but little else to show for it other than a bada** field goal kicker!!! This team lacks everything that a winner in the SEC must attain to take it all the way. I even noticed AJ now just gonna hang on and wait through next year so he can go first round!!! Richt’s program has now jumped off the tracks and we will suffer until we rid of him once and for all!!!!!!! FSU wouldn’t take him back for $1 salary any way!!!! My son’s middle school’s coach has better looking stuff on both sides of the ball than UGA does. TN not that good but their QB looked like a heisman winner!!!!!! God help us all until we reset our program (new coach soon now before its too late) Gonna lose to UF/AUB/GT/maybe Vandy or Kentucky. richt had two national champ teams that never got a chance to play for it all. Saban/Meyer and the gang have shown smart fans the HUGE gap now in coaching between our good guy and their rabid obsessiveness with the game. Richt needs to go to serve in the church and do charity(its been calling him for awhile ,can’t you tell?)

Surely CMR has to see that his coaching staff is a joke. Willie knows nothing about adjusting to what other teams are doing and Bobo only knows 4 to 5 plays to call. Tenn. quarterback was unpreassured all day. The bootleg was never covered and the one time it was,the receiver was wide open. Of course they were wideo open all day. Get rid of Martinez. The Georgia defense has never been this bad. Come to think of, neither has the Georgia offense.

Eric A Dawg Fan

This is not even the tip of the iceberg yet. As much as I am a Georgia Fan, I am embarrassed to even say it right now. The Coaches (ALL OF THEM TODAY) Sucks. The Offense never came to Tennessee. Coach Richt left the offense in Athens. The Defense really sucks as to be expected. Special Teams tried as they always do.

I’m so tired of this mess……. As much as Mark Richt has done for the Georgia Program, If he doesnt want to get rid of those $%#@ Coaches especially Wille Martinez, then get rid of his ASS TOO, and bring a NFL Coach they have a philosophy that we (Georgia Fans Football Players, and himself) believe and bring this Program back to a dynasty.

Joe Cox may have been great in High School, maybe he should have gotten a scholarship in the State where he is from. He is simply not Georgia Football material. Cox is a Georgia under achiever, and be on the bench. No wonder he was a 5th year and finally getting a shot. It’s because he sucks as a Georgia Quarter Back.

We would be better off with the freshman Quarterback. Moore Sucks, and I don’t know why Cox continues to throw to this CHUMP of a player. The Offensive line needs more work too. This by far the WORST performance I have seen since mark Richt has been at Georgia.

Now next week we have Florida. If Georgia don’t get their SH$% Together by next week, prepare yourself for another beat down. Florida will score 60 plus point against Georgia if they don’t get it together.

PissedDawg. You hit the nail on the head about what needs to be done. This pi$$ poor performance may be the blessing in disguise most of us have been looking for over the past 3 seasons. CWM has to go and Bobo along w/him. Might as well get rid of Fabris too. None of these guys show any consistency in the way their respective teams play. This team needs new coaching blood, not hiring from within. Remove them from the staff completely. There will never be any improvement unless there’s an insertion of new coaches outside of the current staff. If CMR does not see this he needs to go too. This has been a long time coming and one only has to look at the way other SEC teams play D. No other team plays D as loose as GA. Cox looked inept after the 1st qtr and the pick he gave up trying to throw the ball out of bounds was pitiful. Then spiking the ball before the half w/one second on the clock and not trying to pass it to the end zone shows how poorly this team is coached.

CMR is a born again christian. He needs to be a born again head coach.

I bleed red & black and today I lost a lot of blood. Willie should have been fired weeks ago. Bobo play calling is sickening. Cox should have been replaced in the Ok St game and never to return. I can’t even remember such a thing. I think it’s time that some folks drop on the sword for the Bulldog Nation, mainly Joe Cox and Willie Martinez. I have supported both up until today, but it’s obvious something is major wrong. Particularly with the defense. Cox is a good guy, but obviously is not a Division 1 QB. Need to take off the redshirt from one of the freshman QB’s. If they are good, they will be gone by the end of their Junior Year anyway. Oh well, at least I went to school at The University of Texas too, so I’ve got one team to watch for the rest of the year. Can’t take any more of the Dawgs this year.

The all suck! You can’t be nice always, and college football is not a popularity contest! CMR cares to much about what people think about him. The whole damn watergirl thing needs to get out of dodge. That is embarrassing. I don’t see one other coach in the SEC or the whole college football nation doing anything like that. Richt needs to grow a pair and start cleaning house. If he can’t do that then he needs to just up and leave. I’m sure he has enough money to buy out his own contract. Lets face it we either have no talent or poor coaching or both.
I think the guys on our defense are good athletes but what we could use are some FOOTBALL PLAYERS (Like D. Polock,T. Davis,C. Johnson)which we seem to lack.Very few players on our defense seem to have any FOOTBALL SENSE

What will it take for Willie to Walk? If he don’t walk this week, he’ll never walk. It’s time for all of us to pick up the phone, call the Georgia Athletics Department and let out feelings be known. Mark Richt won’t wake up and smell the coffee … his friendship, loyalty and desire to have the coaches he wants around him is killing the Georgia football program. DAWG 332. Do you know anything about football? The top things that will Lose you a game are:
1. Ball Security – We failed 2. Time of Possession – We failed 3. Field Position – We failed

Unfortunately, many of those factors are directly related to offense and special teams play. If we win 2 out of the 3, the out come today would be totally diffent.

Look at Joe Cox’s numbers in the 3rd Quarter. TN should have hung 60 on us.

I believe that currently we are the worst pass defensive team in the South, or maybe in the country. Has anyone noticed our linebacker play all season long. It, like the offensive line sucks. A experienced line that averages 305-310 and can’t seem to open up a decent hole for a back? They must have been ok’d to skip weight lifting over the summer! They are getting manhandled. Of course, all parts of our team on both sides are getting manhandled! Give credit to our punter and our kicker. AJ, for attempting to keep us in the games. Come on dawg fans, help me think of something positive here! I know tomorrow at 12:00, we will here that we are young and it is taking alittle longer than expected to get these young players up to speed. Hell, what about the EXPERIENCED PLAYERS and their level of play? I want to invision the coaches chewing each other out like a pack of wild dogs after a game like this! Done. Last year was tough to take with Alabama and tech and Florida. This year is toast.

This season is headed for a 5-7 or 6-6 thing if lucky and until they FIRE the entire staff at UGA, I am done. They do not need my little $ contributions and that is fine with me. Done. We have kids that do not hustle, lack line speed and tackling skills, like Rennie Curran AGAIN GETTING BLOWN OUT OF HIS CLEATS on that U of T TD run. Disgusting, just like last week, when he blew the Charles Scott tackle.

My kids will tell me when UGA hires another staff. Done, like when I dumped the Falcons back in the ealry 80s and never regenerated for them, either. Done. I do not need it at my age.

Coach Richt, I’m not being critical but you made a name for yourself off of Jim Donnan’s players. Every year we hear about these “BLUE CHIP” recuits that we get. Where are they??? I will be a dawg fan until I die. With that said, we made UT look like a team that could compete for a National Championship, and Crompton look like a Heisman Trophy winner. Another point I would like to make is that Good Teams do the small things right, for example, Prince Miller fielding a punt on the 1 yard line, enough said. Our defense was out of position all day, we never covered the TE. And as for choices….. now Damon Evans has one. If CMR does not do what needs to be done. maybe he will.

bench the seniors – all of them. senior leaderrship on this team is nonexistent anyway.
burn all the red shirts. play the freshman. what do we have to lose? are you afraid they will look lost? they will not know the plays? they might be out of position? they are not strong enough of technically sound enough to make tackles or blocks? get them some game experience. reset the bar. what they do is an upside to where we are. if you are not a freshman or a soph, have a seat.
Or how about we ask obama and congress to pass a stimulus package to kickstart the program? At least then Biden would come to town and talk about how great it is working and how pretty the coeds are and we could all sleep better at night.
Since none of that will happen, we can look forward to finishing last in the sec, losing to florida by at least 50 and having a quiet holiday season at home with family and friends watching winning programs play in the bowl games.

When Richt first came to Athens we had a big-hitting, sacking, high-motor defense combined with a strong running game and a spectacular play-action deep game.

Now our defense seems soft and timid. We have an all-NFL defensive line? Where’s the pressure? Where’s the creative blitzing? Where’s the picks?

As far as offense, the offensive line is underachieving, and our running backs don’t have that aggressive motor that the good ones have (see Moreno, Cadillac W., and T. Richardson).

Where in the heck is the vertical game? Our receiving corps is stocked talent-wise. Why aren’t we getting the ball to playmakers like Green and Orson Charles? All of the passes seemed to be soft and short , the proverbial dink and dunk that Bobo is so predictable with.

When Richt first arrived, we had a guy named Fred Gibson that gave us that deep vertical passing game that FSU was always renowned for. That’s why we brought CMR to Georgia.

HE was a guy that was an offensive titan from a program that consistently challenged the Gators for the national championship. When CMR was calling plays and Van Gorder was running the defense, we were awesome.

All of this being said, there’s still that huge question that makes you wonder about the state of the program. Tebow came back, Knowshon and Stafford opted for the millions.

That’s a key difference. David Greene and David Pollack would never even consider leaving a year early for the NFL, they would have stayed, and relished the opportunity for glory.

It seems that the main ingredient that’s missing is the lack of glory at Georgia. Not talent-wise, but attitude-wise.

If I was in a leadership position, I’d recommend spending some cash to bring in some coordinating superstars. Richt’s the CEO, so he has to make the tough decisions.

Do a statistical analysis…who’s the coordinator with the best performances against the country’s best teams? Go hire that guy.

Offensively, it seems like the spread is where it’s at. If we insist on running the pro set, then we need to have a big dominate offensive line that can shove some people around and make some holes, and we need a quarterback who can zing it around and not rely on high school plays.

I say get Aaron Murray on the field ASAP. This is now officially a rebuilding year, and so CMR can at least save some face by getting our youngin’s some reps.

A total failure in every phase of the game with the exception of special teams. I have never seen a Georgia football team look so pathetic. No fire ,energy, pride !!!! Nothing. Made Tennessee look like world beaters. Poor pitiful coaching job. Absolutely had no clue offensively or defensively. Something has to change but it remains to be seen who’s going to step up and take charge and get it done. Congratulations CMR to you and your staff for a job well done!!! It looks like maybe the worst season in many years….

I am truly at a loss right now… I saw this one coming, but never thought we could be this bad. I can’t believe that we are getting worse. I think we all need to band together to get on Damon Evans and make him make the changes that Coach Richt will not. If Richt will not fire Bobo and Martinez at year end then he has to go too. Right now I would fire the entire staff except for Garner and Richt. We have to go get Van Gorder for Defense and I would look at paying Norm Chow a lot of money to come here… or, let’s just start over and throw a lot of money at Stoops, Cowher, Brian Kelly,or Jim Harbough.

CMR’s history is solid and I think this season will show him what he has to do for next year with our coaching staff. He will make the necessary changes. Auburn, Tenn and GT knows what it is like to have a disappointing season and this year we are having ours. No big deal.

The difference between Richt & Co. and other coaches like Meyer, Saban, Stoops, etc… is they actually coach and come up with a GAME PLAN based on the opponent. while Richt & Co. have a system, and players, opponents, weather all be d**ned they run the same tired “game plan/system” week after week. That’s why we’re so predictable.

What do Oklahoma St, S.Carolina, Arkansas, Arizona St, LSU and Tennesee all have in common?
NOTHING yet the Dawgs go out and play each team with the exact same game plan?!! No wrinkles, no adjustments, just “THE SYSTEM”. When it fails it’s not the coaches fault, oh no, it’s the PLAYERS’ lack of execution! It’s pure insanity in Athens, and we all know the definition of insanity, DOING THE SAME THING OVER AND OVER EXPECTING DIFFERENT RESULTS.

Damon Evans if you’re listening or reading PLEASE DO SOMETHING!!!! It is not fair to the players, fans or boosters to have to put up with this mediocracy!!!

Reality is, UGA could easily be 0-6 right now. We got lucky to beat SC; ARK was a shoot-out; and we barely beat a very bad ASU team. Fact is, if we didn’t have AJ then we would be 0-6.

Defense: We have made just about every QB we’ve faced look like a Heisman candidate. We can’t cover TE’s or RB’s on passing routes. Mobile QB’s have always given us trouble. When you look at the better programs around the country, their defenses always pressure the line of scrimage. Watch Alabama, watch UF, watch USC, etc; blitz/pressure packages causes the defense to dictate what the offense can do and forces the offense into bad plays. Yes, every once in a while you get burned, but it is better than sitting back and letting the offense carry out their game plan while the defense just reacts. Watch the pro’s also, pressure defense across the board. If the pros are doing it then that should tell us something.

I am with an earlier poster, hire some assistant Def Coor from the pros. He will bring schemes that are proven, and a resume that resume that will be attractive to recruits.

As far as offense, I know it may be unfair to the 5th year senior but UGA has to begin looking to next year. If you think the Frosh or Gray is going to be your man next year go ahead and begin getting their feet wet. Now is the time when our schedule gets a little soft. And I don’t think Bobo should be fired at this point because he is only working with the tools he has, but he does need to improve his performance. Maybe hire one of UGA’s former stars (Greene or Shockley) to come in and begin working with the QB’s and offense. Again an ex-UGA/ex-Pro will lend credibility and experience to the program.

Coach R really needs to get involved with the defense. He sould either fire Willie or take over the D himself. This is the worst defensive scheme I have ever seen. The players are not coached up, they have not improved since their arrivals as freshmen.

If the defense would stop someone maybe the offense could get on the field more often, the time of possession is terrible, hard to score when the other team has the ball. Coach R just needs to revamp his entire coaching staff.

The way I see it,

UGA is nothing more than a “puppy mill” for the NFL. I can’t think of a single school in the SEC that sends in more athletes ready or not, too the combine annually.

I fail to see any team concept taught or instilled into the minds of the coaches and or players in Athens, way to many “I’s” in the program.

Early in the season, the ( Fat-Cat-Boosters) lawyers, doctors, emeritus professors, would all come running here after one of these articles was posted and blather us all to death with volumes of banter. No more….

As a dawg fan for more than forty years I have never seen a Ga. football team quit like this years team did against the Vols on saturday. The coaches have lost this team! Not only have they done a poor job of coaching but now they cant motivate them to play anymore. We have no idea what to do on offense or defense. The time has come to make changes Bobo and Martinez must go. The position coaches are also to blame as well the offensive line was a to be a strength it is a joke we cant run the ball on anybody. Richard Sammuel needs to move to olb or ss he is not the answer at rb. The style of offense we run went by the way side years ago we have to much speed and talent on this team to be playing this poorly. We need to open things up on offense and go back to playing like a bunch of junkyard dawgs on defense and start blitzing and stunting up front and put Miller and Evans on the bench they have done nothing during their time at Ga. Rambo and Smith are better players than both of them now. Now is the time to turn the heat up and start getting the attention of this team before a 5 and 7 record hits this team in the face. Coaches this team is to good to be playing like they are start getting this team prepared to play on Sat. like they are capable of playing. I am sick of the way we have played to this point make the changes now

Not only that we lose our 3 best defensive lineman, along with our safties, Jones, Evans, and your corner P.Miller. However here is a side note, if your passes are all thrown high, what’s the problem? answer… Not following through. Bobo needs to focus on his QB’s. He is NOT a good offensive cord. Sorry Dog Lover but the truth hurts.

For all of you that think coaching is not the problem think about this. When Shula was Head coach at Alabama he put together some nice recruiting classes, but never a top 8 class. In Mark Richt time at UGA he has put together top 5 classes 4 years in a row (06 thru 09), with nothing to show for it. Since 06 UGA record is 33 wins & 12 loses. My point is that 2 years after Alabama hired a COACH, they have only lost twice. Using mostly players recruited by Shula. Why do you think that is? my thought is that if a coach is not doing his job…. Saban will replace them.

Choices.....too!

Anybody know how much Vandy is favored by this coming weekend?

I watched GT – FSU last night. Observations on GT:

1 No celebrating when a TD is scored. Just toss the ball to a ref and head for the sideline.

2 No dancing fools on the sidelines. Everyone grouped with their coaches and getting ready.

3 No foolish penalties. GT players showed a lot of self control and had heads in the game.

4. GT linemen blocked their assignments.

5 GT defenders wrapped their opponents and brought them down.

Can any of these things be said about UGA players? No, UGA players are not that well coached.

Richt made the comment those outside the arena will bad mouth those inside the arena because we don’t understand. He further stated that just to be in the arena was an honor. What he doesn’t understand is those outside the arena are the ones sending contributions and buying tickets. He and the rest of the staff need to understand for honor to exist it must be earned. Georgia Coaches need to stop resting on past records. Look in the mirror and ask yourself if you’re really working or just coasting on the past years.

“As the church bells tolled thrice to mark the eve of day, a sea of blood poured from the ground to the Tennessee River on its way to the Oconee below. No man, no boy, a rivalry no more.”

On my way out after the third quarter, it was nothing but red headed to their cars.

Coach Richt is nonetheless the best thing that has happened to Georgia since Coach Dooley and I hate to see everyone so mean-spirited in their attacks. How quickly we forget.

BUT . . . . all the gripes are legitimate in this respect. The defense has been embarassing for two years now. What about LSU, you ask? Well, the LSU offense is pretty bad AND the defense only played 55 minutes of a 60 minute game. The fans were unhappy that a change wasn’t made this past off-season. Coach Richt, you and the program are paying the price for loyalty. Admirable but costly. Changes are needed. The offense has completely collapsed. God bless Cox, but he hasn’t made it happen. Overthrows, INTs, hesitancy. No running backs or offensive line to support them, and AJ is the only consistent receiver. Gut check time: The fans will forgive if they see you working to get the younger guys ready for next season and they see necessary changes made.

And finally, why hasn’t Georgia been able to develop their recruiting classes like Florida and LSU and Southern Cal and now Alabama? Legitimate complaint. Time to overhaul and find some answers.

If Coach Richt truely said, Those outside the arena will bad mouth you because they don’t understand, and just to be inside the arena is an honor. If that is what was truely said…. I have to agree. I have been on both sides. He also needs to remember that honor is earned based on how well you proformed inside that arena. People that are remembered in Georgia history are also the ones that gave there all for UGA. Blood, Sweat, and Tears. And in another note about Why recruits not being developed as at other schools, it called coaching. Just because the Defensive staff makes the correct call, in does not mean that they put players in the right plases. It’s time to bring home Travis Jones (New Orleans), and Kirby Smart (Alabama). Please let me know what you think about these 2.

Let me make one thing prefectly clear, we as fans of UGA should never Boo players. Let me say that one more time, we as fans of UGA should never Boo players. These kids need our support, and HELP. We do however reserve the right to Boo the outcome of a game, and the coaches. UGA needs to get back to the basics. What I am talking about is this, after watching FLA & LSU and ALA & OM over the weekend one thing really caught my eye. None of these teams were dancing on the sidelines. Yet all of these teams are ranked higher than UGA. Both Florida, and Alabama won their games with class and dignitity. No penality after TD’s, no dancing on the benches. They just won….. Coaching is the reason. The players on those teams are no better that ours at UGA, just coaching.
