This is as bad as a bad Goff team. Time for Richt to fix this immediately or move on.

If CMB, and CWM are both looking for answers. Here is a solution for them both.. Step down! You are both in over your head. Wake up tomorrow morning, drink your coffee, read your copy of the AJC, let them tell you how sorry you are, kiss your wife good bye, report to my office and resign, ask for your old jobs back. I don’t care… just step down. Both of you have NO pride.

Totally lost from start to finish, very discouraging offense is so predictable, defense doesn’t have a clue. Absolutely embarrassing, painful, & whatever adj. you can throw in there. LIFE MUST GO ON!

While Mark Richt’s excuses are old– at least we have 85 wins over the last 8+ years under him. How many do you have during that period–Georgia Tech? And what is your record against Georgia during this span? Enlighten us with some more substantive than your usual, “Hahahahahahaha.”

Reality is, UGA could easily be 0-6 right now. We got lucky to beat SC; ARK was a shoot-out; and we barely beat a very bad ASU team. Fact is, if we didn’t have AJ then we would be 0-6.

Defense: We have made just about every QB we’ve faced look like a Heisman candidate. We can’t cover TE’s or RB’s on passing routes. Mobile QB’s have always given us trouble. When you look at the better programs around the country, their defenses always pressure the line of scrimage. Watch Alabama, watch UF, watch USC, etc; blitz/pressure packages causes the defense to dictate what the offense can do and forces the offense into bad plays. Yes, every once in a while you get burned, but it is better than sitting back and letting the offense carry out their game plan while the defense just reacts. Watch the pro’s also, pressure defense across the board. If the pros are doing it then that should tell us something.

I am with an earlier poster, hire some assistant Def Coor from the pros. He will bring schemes that are proven, and a resume that resume that will be attractive to recruits.

As far as offense, I know it may be unfair to the 5th year senior but UGA has to begin looking to next year. If you think the Frosh or Gray is going to be your man next year go ahead and begin getting their feet wet. Now is the time when our schedule gets a little soft. And I don’t think Bobo should be fired at this point because he is only working with the tools he has, but he does need to improve his performance. Maybe hire one of UGA’s former stars (Greene or Shockley) to come in and begin working with the QB’s and offense. Again an ex-UGA/ex-Pro will lend credibility and experience to the program.

Again Tech nerds…when you play and beat a decent team, then run your mouth. Georgia owns you and always will. You’re in the ACC… it doesn’t begin to compare with the SEC.

Coach R really needs to get involved with the defense. He sould either fire Willie or take over the D himself. This is the worst defensive scheme I have ever seen. The players are not coached up, they have not improved since their arrivals as freshmen.

If the defense would stop someone maybe the offense could get on the field more often, the time of possession is terrible, hard to score when the other team has the ball. Coach R just needs to revamp his entire coaching staff.

Ranks as one of the worst games ever for the Bulldogs. Bring back Vince. Someone mentioned Gruden. It may take someone from the professional ranks to compete in today’s SEC. How long before a National Championship? Twenty-nine years is too long to wait!

have no objections if FSU wants him back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It’s time for a coach which shows EMOTION on the sidelines, and gets pissed when things are not right! THIS

Worst prepared team in UGA history.

UGA is a Pre NFL puppy Mill

October 11th, 2009
12:33 pm

The way I see it,

UGA is nothing more than a “puppy mill” for the NFL. I can’t think of a single school in the SEC that sends in more athletes ready or not, too the combine annually.

I fail to see any team concept taught or instilled into the minds of the coaches and or players in Athens, way to many “I’s” in the program.

Early in the season, the ( Fat-Cat-Boosters) lawyers, doctors, emeritus professors, would all come running here after one of these articles was posted and blather us all to death with volumes of banter. No more….

“All quiet on the Western front” this morning.

The next batch of puppies are boxed and ready too go on out….Somebody call the NFL, UPS has got a delivery waiting on the loading dock!

As a dawg fan for more than forty years I have never seen a Ga. football team quit like this years team did against the Vols on saturday. The coaches have lost this team! Not only have they done a poor job of coaching but now they cant motivate them to play anymore. We have no idea what to do on offense or defense. The time has come to make changes Bobo and Martinez must go. The position coaches are also to blame as well the offensive line was a to be a strength it is a joke we cant run the ball on anybody. Richard Sammuel needs to move to olb or ss he is not the answer at rb. The style of offense we run went by the way side years ago we have to much speed and talent on this team to be playing this poorly. We need to open things up on offense and go back to playing like a bunch of junkyard dawgs on defense and start blitzing and stunting up front and put Miller and Evans on the bench they have done nothing during their time at Ga. Rambo and Smith are better players than both of them now. Now is the time to turn the heat up and start getting the attention of this team before a 5 and 7 record hits this team in the face. Coaches this team is to good to be playing like they are start getting this team prepared to play on Sat. like they are capable of playing. I am sick of the way we have played to this point make the changes now

Note to “Dog Lover” If this is a rebuilding year, what will next year be? We will be atarting another new Quarterback. Not only that we lose our 3 best defensive lineman, along with our safties, Jones, Evans, and your corner P.Miller. However here is a side note, if your passes are all thrown high, what’s the problem? answer… Not following through. Bobo needs to focus on his QB’s. He is NOT a good offensive cord. Sorry Dog Lover but the truth hurts.

For all of you that think coaching is not the problem think about this. When Shula was Head coach at Alabama he put together some nice recruiting classes, but never a top 8 class. In Mark Richt time at UGA he has put together top 5 classes 4 years in a row (06 thru 09), with nothing to show for it. Since 06 UGA record is 33 wins & 12 loses. My point is that 2 years after Alabama hired a COACH, they have only lost twice. Using mostly players recruited by Shula. Why do you think that is? my thought is that if a coach is not doing his job…. Saban will replace them.

Choices.....too!

Yes I understand that in Saban’s first year they went 7 wins, and 6 loses. With that said he replaces his Offensive Cord. after the season.

I really feel that this young guys are so under coach, there no life, but he will be loyal and let us go all the way now. Its a shame that A.J. Green and the other young guys have to play with Cox, because of the loyal.
Still love the DAWGS THE PLAYERS

Anybody know how much Vandy is favored by this coming weekend?

I watched GT – FSU last night. Observations on GT:

1 No celebrating when a TD is scored. Just toss the ball to a ref and head for the sideline.

2 No dancing fools on the sidelines. Everyone grouped with their coaches and getting ready.

3 No foolish penalties. GT players showed a lot of self control and had heads in the game.

4. GT linemen blocked their assignments.

5 GT defenders wrapped their opponents and brought them down.

Can any of these things be said about UGA players? No, UGA players are not that well coached.

Richt made the comment those outside the arena will bad mouth those inside the arena because we don’t understand. He further stated that just to be in the arena was an honor. What he doesn’t understand is those outside the arena are the ones sending contributions and buying tickets. He and the rest of the staff need to understand for honor to exist it must be earned. Georgia Coaches need to stop resting on past records. Look in the mirror and ask yourself if you’re really working or just coasting on the past years.

It’s the line! Forget the QB (even though he is pathetic), forget the running backs, get the line to man up! They are getting whipped every week no matter who they play…

“As the church bells tolled thrice to mark the eve of day, a sea of blood poured from the ground to the Tennessee River on its way to the Oconee below. No man, no boy, a rivalry no more.”

On my way out after the third quarter, it was nothing but red headed to their cars.

Coach Richt is nonetheless the best thing that has happened to Georgia since Coach Dooley and I hate to see everyone so mean-spirited in their attacks. How quickly we forget.

BUT . . . . all the gripes are legitimate in this respect. The defense has been embarassing for two years now. What about LSU, you ask? Well, the LSU offense is pretty bad AND the defense only played 55 minutes of a 60 minute game. The fans were unhappy that a change wasn’t made this past off-season. Coach Richt, you and the program are paying the price for loyalty. Admirable but costly. Changes are needed. The offense has completely collapsed. God bless Cox, but he hasn’t made it happen. Overthrows, INTs, hesitancy. No running backs or offensive line to support them, and AJ is the only consistent receiver. Gut check time: The fans will forgive if they see you working to get the younger guys ready for next season and they see necessary changes made.

And finally, why hasn’t Georgia been able to develop their recruiting classes like Florida and LSU and Southern Cal and now Alabama? Legitimate complaint. Time to overhaul and find some answers.

If Coach Richt truely said, Those outside the arena will bad mouth you because they don’t understand, and just to be inside the arena is an honor. If that is what was truely said…. I have to agree. I have been on both sides. He also needs to remember that honor is earned based on how well you proformed inside that arena. People that are remembered in Georgia history are also the ones that gave there all for UGA. Blood, Sweat, and Tears. And in another note about Why recruits not being developed as at other schools, it called coaching. Just because the Defensive staff makes the correct call, in does not mean that they put players in the right plases. It’s time to bring home Travis Jones (New Orleans), and Kirby Smart (Alabama). Please let me know what you think about these 2.

so enough bitching, let’s talk solution. who’s gonna take over the DC job? gee i know, how about some bright young lads that used to play here? Kirby Smart or Will Muschamp look good to me. nick satan is an SOB to work for i’ve heard. after AL wins it all this year, Kirby will have his resume built and ready to come back home. Muschamp will never be Texas’ HC because Mack Brown will pull a Paterno and use a walker until he croaks in office. let’s get smart and use our farm raised talent to get one of these guys…and how did CMR let these two guys get away to competing Tier1 schools, anyway?? …next we should discuss a new OC. please, someone with a proven track record and/or pedigree.

Let me make one thing prefectly clear, we as fans of UGA should never Boo players. Let me say that one more time, we as fans of UGA should never Boo players. These kids need our support, and HELP. We do however reserve the right to Boo the outcome of a game, and the coaches. UGA needs to get back to the basics. What I am talking about is this, after watching FLA & LSU and ALA & OM over the weekend one thing really caught my eye. None of these teams were dancing on the sidelines. Yet all of these teams are ranked higher than UGA. Both Florida, and Alabama won their games with class and dignitity. No penality after TD’s, no dancing on the benches. They just won….. Coaching is the reason. The players on those teams are no better that ours at UGA, just coaching.
