Coaching has been really poor this season. We nearly got run out of our own stadium early today. How can you not get up for the #4 team in the country??? Come on.

And does anyone else find it interesting that as soon as Washaun Ealey came in our offense improved? Considering our running game has been pathetic this season, why did it take so long? Obviously Ealey has shown something in practice. And what’s the point in redshirting skill players? Lets be honest — if a skill player is SUPER good he’s going to go pro after three years no matter what. So, what’s the point in redshirting him? It’ll be just like Knowshon. We only got two years out of him and EVERY Bulldog fan knows he should have never been redshirted. Thank God the coaches woke up and injected Ealey in the lineup.

Joe Cox missed a wide open pASS TO GREEN WHICH PROBABLY WOULD HAVE BEEN A td. One he didn’t see green who was wide open on the sideline but cannot blame this loss on Joe. He hit the go ahead TD and the refs screwed GA on the celebration call. For the most part this team cannot cover KO’s or punts too well. Kicking off from the 15 to one of the fastest runners in the world why not kick it out of bounds and and take your chances from the 40. Joe wasn’t on def when LSU scored the winning TD either.

Ealy is the best RB on the team. Forget about 22 and 4. Neither is SEC caliber talent. Make a LB out of 22. King reminds me of Jasper Sanks. Never really lived up to expectations.

If it were not for the stinking refereeing and missed tackling on the LSU winning TD and GA wins this game or maybe loses by last second FG.

Today’s loss was absolutely a coaching failure. The only consistency on this team is its inherent INCONSISTENCY. You never know week to week what they are likely to do and Richt seems to think any win is a good win. We fail horribly on the big games and there is too much talent and resources available in Athens for this kind of a performance. Just incredible. Joe is right. You’ll NEVER see a crystal football in Athens with Richt and company. Best thing that could happen to the Dawgs is to go 6-6 and turn up the heat to get Richt out of there.

I don’t think so highly of CMR now – especially with his comments that he doesn’t think that much about penalties – that statement right there tells me all I need to know about his teams – total lack of discipline. If HE doesn’t care about the penalties what are his players to think and do?

Hey Shortcircuit – You said “That 15 yard celebration cost Ga the game” = NO it did not – LSU had a pretty good return and the running back who made the TD would have scored from 60 yards if he ran the same play. Besides – LSU had the call on them and UGA only managed to make to the 33 on the kick return. No – It was Coach “I don’t mind the penalities” Mark Richt and his idiot staff (can we say BooBoo) that caused the game.

I am sick of all you posters complaining about how the refs stole the game – JUST REMEMBER THIS – LSU had the SAME called on them and they didn’t fold like UGA did – and UGA had 1:09 left. Besides all of that – the kick return team STILL aloud LSU to start on GA’s side of the field – and the LSU running back that scored the TD would have scored even if LSU had been on their own 20. Saw quit your whinning about the refs you big babies and just remember – CMR doesn’t mind the penalities.
If you want to complain about the refs – it was 3 horrible calls by the refs that allowed GA to beat SC.

I think that it is time for Mark Richt and the coaching staff to be replaced. They are not getting the job done. 8-10 wins a season is not getting the job done. Its about winning championships not winning 8-10 games a year and they are clearly not getting the job done. Sure the coaches dont play the game the players do but they recruited the players and they are the ones who call the plays and put the players in the game to do it. It is time for a change and they need to do something about Joe Cox because he isnt getting it done that is for sure.

I have been a CWM hater for a couple of years,but, his D played well enough to win. why is it when we find a D the O goes missing? Ealey is a BEAST play him already. And when will CMR going to pull cox when he has a bad game. I like the guy personally but when he isnt getting it done on the field its time to play some one ELSE.

Sometimes you simply get beaten by a better team and the clock. A.J. Green, I must say, richly deserved the much-over-ballyhooed penalty. He actually offended twice on the play, with an earlier shove that should have been flagged as offensive pass interference. Stats aren’t everything, but LSU pretty much controlled the first half and the closing minutes, and the score pretty much reflects that reality. Georgia needn’t despair. They’ll play in a Jan. 1 game, possibly a BCS bowl. Heck, after we beat Florida next week they might wind up in the SEC Championship game, where, of course, we’ll beat them again.

Why do fans say they are young so much,seniors and freshmen they’re all young.Have you not noticed that good coaches like Pete Carrol,Saban and UM can get freshmen ready to play and Richt’s coaching staff can not When a bunch of my friends get together to watch the game more times than not we know what play Bobo is going to call,you really think the other team’s coaches dodn’t know.

Those of you wanting to fire Richt have lost your minds! This was a tough battle! We were able to get in at half time down by only 6 points due to an outstanding defense! The D made adjustments at half time and played even better the second half.

Cox missed some key throws no doubt. His mistakes did not warrant taking him out of the game and placing Logan in the game. Each week the team IS getting bettter with the large group of freshmen, red shirt freshmen, and sophomores playing.

I trust Richt and his judgement! I know he will coach the DAWGS in a way that we have the best opportunity to win games. This is a great coach and a good team that is growing and getting better! I look forward to seeing the DAWGS have succes with Richt in charge for years to come!

I’m always hopeful that UGA will get to a title game. Washaun Ealey had close to 3,000 yrds (2,982) and set a state record with 58 TD’s last year in high school and got his first touch of the ball yesterday (noted by the CBS broadcasters). Hey coaching staff, I got my first look at him, as did so many tv viewers, so what the hell have you been looking at? Of the eight carries (idiots), at least three of those reminded me of a #22 RB at Florida years ago. That would be Emmitt Smith. It’s great Richt has won eight games every year, but could he win the big games, please.

In my 40 plus years of following UGA Football, this is by far the most undisciplined and most uninspired team that I can remember. The gritty UGA Football tradition is all but gone under CMR and staff. In the past we’ve had teams with much less talent that may not have won every game either but they always left everything on the field. UGA has the atheletes…they just have no direction. CMR may be a good man but that doesn’t make him a good coach. UGA needs a staff that has passion and can instill the desire to execute. It’s time for a change.

Maybe FSU will need a coach on their staff. We need some coaching and apparently are current doesn;t have a clue or just isn’t interested. The offensive line is awful, so is the coaching. We could easily been down 28 points at half time with the failure of the whole team. The common thread to all the problems. RICHT. We’ll never some close to einning the SEC or national title. We’re sliping the lower middle SEC with near the top in talent. This is not a rebuilding year other than coaching was totaly unprepared for changes. Cox and AJ can’t do it all on pure talent. We’ve got to have some coaching!

Georgia’s whole program is a JOKE this season!!! This was worst game I’ve ever seen Georgia play…since Goff was at the helm! I am so sick and tired of the arm tackling on defense and special teams! Martinez and his disgraceful zone coverage is absolutely apalling! IT DOESN’T WORK!!! Bobo and his play calling is way too convservative…running on 3rd and long?!?! Are you serious?!?! Joe Cox doesn’t bother to survey his recievers?!?! AJ was triple covered almost all day…somebody was open!!! Can someone tell me why we tried to run an interception out of the end zone??? That’s football 101!!!

Richt…grow a sack, drop a pair and do what you need to do!!! This is embarrassing!!! We have the talent, and we could have taken LSU out behind the woodshed!!! Pathetic!!!

Richt is following the path of his mentor at FSU Bobby Bowden , distance yourself from your assistants coaches and let them run the team. That’s fine if your are blessed with good assistants, we are not. After Richt gave up the OC job to Bobo we have suffered. His reluctance to do as Saban did by going out and recruit the best OC and DC available and only hire from within is only contributing to a weak coaching staff. His doing the same with his players.Remember this a man who started Terizenski over Stafford and red shirted Moreno.What coach is his right mind would do that? If Gray is 80% of Cox he must play for the mere fact there is a run factor with him or if Murray is the heir apparent than he should be playing to gain experience.Until Bobo and Martinez are replaced UGA will fall into the mediocrity category at best.Don’t except that to happen any time soon with Martinez, a long time friend, and Bobo with 5 children. Richt is not a hatchet man he is no Saban. I only hope the large contributors converge on Evans and force the changes needed to revive the program to an A program and not the present C program. The only way this can happen Martinez and Bobo MUST GO!!!!!!

You know what? Players know they run the risk of penalty with celebrations. So, smart players take the celebration to the sideline or hold it for after the game. Georgia lost this game because of an epeidemic in sports – self aggrandisement. It’s all about “me.” See “me.” Watch “me.” How great am “I.” Yes, the officials probably made a mistake with the call, but why put yourself in that risk area? Maybe the Dawgs learned a lesson, but probably not. It’s always about “me” and not “us.”

I rate the Kentucky game as a toss-up. Hopefully we can beat Vandy but I’m not going to bet my house on it. We should beat Tenn Tech but that’s the only game I would be willing to bet any money that Georgia will win from here on out. Pull C. King, Samuel, and Cox. Let Ealey and one of the young QB’s get some experience for the rest of this season.

Insane-Martinez gets 1.5 quarters of decent defensive output and people are rallying around him? Gimme a break. When he can manage 8 consecutive quarters, he’s accomplished something.

Sloe Cox-look, it’s WONDERFUL that he’s always aspired to be #1 QB at UGA-fact is, he’s STILL not #1 even though he starts. Everyone knows he’s 4th in ability at BEST. Sadly, it will take an injury to get CMR to take him out. So now, if there’s a middle schooler out there who says he only wants to be QB at UGA, that means we should sign him? Sheesh. His throws are horrific, he has no running ability and he’s too short to see over anyone 5′11′ or taller. There is absolutely no reason he should be starting-he wouldn’t be starting at any other SEC school-maybe the ACC, but not the SEC.

Too bad about the calls, but even with them the dawgs had more tha a chance to win this game, thanks SOLELY to AJ GREEN. All this game did was confirm Green’s decision to jump to the NFL ASAP-why should he stay?

CMR is a great coach but is WAYYY too loyal-both to 5th year QB’s and defensive coordinators. Sadly, it will probably result in his departure. Those who don’t learn from the past are doomed to repeat it-remember Joe T,CMR? Same situation.

It’s time to evaluate coaches! Bobo doesn’t know a game plan from a menu, he has to go; and CMR
MUST revert back to calling plays! Special teams is no better than a high school, and defense needs to play under control and each individual must DO THEIR JOB. Time for Martinez to go! At this rate we will never ever see another SEC Championship, much less a Nat’l Champ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This weeks preparation and the mind set the coaches take will be very telling. Do they go back to fundamentals like tackling, blocking, running, and perhaps even looking for receivers other than the primary, or do we continue on the same path. Working on dance moves and talking about how tough things are going, but it is ok cause they are young and have a 5th yr QB to lead them.
We will all know this team and the coaches by supper time in knoxville sat. The only question is whether we will be ordering the big chicken dinner or weinee water soup.

A few disconnected observations:
1. Saw CMR on tv tonite. He appeared laissez faire, disconnected from the goings on. What up w’dat?
2. There is some serious talk that need to be going on between CMR and his so-called coaches. Do they every talk about things?
3. I wonder if we will hear about the top recruiting class this year. We have all about how great they were in recent years.
4. CMR has said he isn’t too concerned with penalties. He’d better be.
5. Finally, maybe we all had better develop a hobby this fall, besides football. After all, we’re not on the UGA payroll.

FL Dawg, I want some on the drugs you are on…. Bobo was out coached, and out classed by Chavis. The defense played very well, not great but they kept us in the game. In the first half Bobo didn’t adjust to anything. Only an Idiot would start a game with a reverse!!! Give me a break. Bobo uses the pitch to get the ball in Ealey’s hands… Good idea, that worked for Knowshon too. Why not do the same thing when King or Samuel are in the back field. Bobo’s play call is terrible. That’s the coach that needs to GO!!!!

Listen folks, call me crazy but our defense is playing Ok at best. In the OSU, Ark, and USC game our offense put them in bad situations because of turnovers. 14 pts against OSU, 17 pts against Ark, and at least 17 against USC. Bobo is the real problem.

coaching changes need to be made, i am not blaming everything on coaching, but a lot of what is wrong is coaching. if the coaching staff was doing what they should be doing logan gray would have played some in each game this season. penalties–coaching ect. there is something really wrong at uga, i am just hoping that someone at uga sees it and does something about it, if not it is just going to get worst.

Just two quick notes: #1 – The defense needs to learn how to tackle. #2 – Joe Cox is so inconsistent, why doesn’t Bobo/Richt go ahead and put in the freshmen quarterbacks and let them get some experience so we don’t have to go through the same problems next year.

We have lost to two top ten opponents with a young team. The first was deserved, the second was a fluke, one-play mistake after two horribly timed penalties. I thought we had ‘em. Its time to regroup and get ready for Tennessee. The future of the SEC East is entirely in the Bulldogs hands. All you fair weather , dad-in-the-stands, i-never-went-to-georgia wannabes should watch football on sundays. all you ask is: What have you done for me lately? Richt has only lead uga to top 25 finishes every year since 2001 and a few of those were in the top ten. All we have to do is win out and we are in the top ten again. Come on true dogs fans! lets get to work! finish the drill!!! its hard work in the sec!!!
