not to mention the takedowns of d morgan that weren’t called. these refs were either biased or incompetent or both. there can be no rationale for fining a coach who points out such mistakes.

I doubt this team will be able to overcome 2 liabilities when they play the Hokies….poor officiating and Scott Blair….Coach Johnson can fix one but not the other……Blair did have a replacement in the 4th quarter….let’s hope it is a good move.

On the other hand….it looks like Bobby Bowden has packed it in and is ready to ride off into the sunset….We should do well in Starkville AND Tallahassee…

I’ve meet Scott Blair and feels he’s a wonderful person, but once something is in his head. “Have Mercy!”
Go Jackets!

We played a good game,BUT WE still do not have the KILLER instinct. We could have put Carolina to sleep before half time and we didn’t.I agree with mike branca–let’s get a kicker that has his mind on the game.I’m all for getting smart people at Tech but give me a break. We can’t hit a 27 yarder?I watched the Miss State/LSU game and I’ll tell you –this is not the Sylvester Croome bulldogs we saw last year.I hope our guys don’t take them to lightly—this is a very goog football team we are playing next week—- they are capable of beating anyone.

Hey Not Disappointed- What if the team quit because it rained? They practice and play hard. You can’t even stand a few rain drops? SISSY!!

I’m glad we won but I’m not so sure UNC was a Top 25 team either.
ACC is a very strange conference this year. One week a team looks good the next, it looks bad.
I believe we’ll know more about GT in the next few weeks when the have to go on the road to Miss. State and FSU.

Great game, except that we stalled too often on offense. It should have been 21-0 instead of 10-0 at the half! I see 2 reasons: (1) play calling is too often repetitive – why don’t we use the options we have at our disposal? When we do, we usually move the chains. Nesbitt keeping the ball himself 40% of the plays doesn’t cut it. (2) Nesbitt’s decision making ability is suspect (again). Was he trying to pad his numbers? Several times it looked to me as if the pitch would have been the better choice. Often it appears that he is only focused on the one receiver he has in mind when he hikes the ball, no matter what the defense is showing. We need a QB that can adjust to what the defense is showing and make quick decisions effectively.
Other than that, great game. Great win! Go Jackets!
