Good overall effort by all three phases-great move to use 6′5″ Finneran to defend 2 long
plays to end zone.Love Love Love red helmets!

I have to admit, I like the throwbacks, including the red helmets. That being said I remember Randy Johnson at QB and Tommy Nobis at MLB. Back to the current Falcons, I have to agree with Carl that the better QB’s are going to eat us alive! There was absolutely Zero pass rush and we possibly lost Jerry for a few weeks. I just hope that Matt can keep Tom Brady off the field next week as well as the did starting the 2nd half today. I would venture to say that if possession is equal next week, we lose by 2 TD’s. Let’s go Matty Ice, we need you being brilliant in Baaaaaston.

Excited about being 2-0. But the Patriots are gonna have track meet this Sunday. Brady to Moss ALL DAY on the Falcons DBs. Need to get Turner some more holes to go through as well.

Defense is pretty good. Better than scores indicates. 1 of those Panther TD’s was BS! It was an incompleted pass or maybe a fumble but it was coming out of his hands the whole time. Not secured.
Defense had to defend short field often due to Falcon turnovers. Did well, I think under the circumstances. Panthers do have solid wide receivers. Some of the best and good running game. Defense did well. Remember that we were taking Carolina’s best shot b/c of their debacles last week.
Offense is awesome. Anyone can score in this offense. And Norwood didn’t even play much of the game so there is another weapon. Next week’s game against Patriots will simply be a good team playing a good team. If we lose, it is the Patriots we played. If we win, we are good enough to win against anybody don’t you know! We are a solid team! Period!

Birds got a good win. New England game will be a good test. Would like to see the O line open up some better holes, but maybe both Miami and Carolina were stacking the line and forcing us to pass. Grimes needs to stay out of Finneran’s way when Finn is in. Grimes about blew it. I thought Delome threw alot of accurate passes today, but the 4th down was too much for him. Good job by Houston on the play, which makes up for his half-hearted tackle to let Carolina score their first TD.

Hey Y’all:

The whole team played together. They played with “ONE HEARTBEAT!!”. They covered for each other on every play. They were agressive on every play. The coaches coached and managed the game very well. And, of course, We, THE FANS, “TORE THE ROOF OFF THE SUCKA” at the Georgia Dome. ONE GAME AT AT TIME. ONE GAME AT A TIME. This is going to be a great and exciting season with our “YOUNG GUNS”. New Falcons legends are being made with this team. THE “PROCESS” CONTINUES. It will continue in “ONE HEARTBEAT!!”

GO FALCONS!!!!!

SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!
This is a SECRET from a FALCON FAN. TELL EVERYBODY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

………………………”ONE HEARTBEAT, BABY!!!……………….

Way too many missed arm tackles. The corners HAVE to get better. Those of you that think the D played well are sadly optimistic. We are way ahead of where we could be, but are still a year or two away from being a solid team. I say 9-7 or 10-6 at best.

FALCONS, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE FIND TWO CONERS SO WE CAN GET TO THE SUPERBOWL…WE WILL NOT EVEN MAKE IT TO THE PLAYOFFS WITH A CONER LIKE CHIS HOUSTON…HE SUCKS AND I DEMAND MORE AFTER PAYING 2200.00 FOR TICKETS…IF WE GET A GUNNING QB, WE WILL LOSE!!!!!! ALL CAROLINA HAD TO DO IS TO CONTINUE LIKE THAT FIRST DRIVE AND WE WOULD HAVE BEEN BLOWN OUT THE DOME!!!!! CHRIS HOUSTON, GIVE BLANKS HIS MONEY BACK!!!! YOU DONT DESERVE IT!!!!!!!!!

tony, take a chill pill, man. You are seriously disturbed. At the end of the day, all that matters is the W in the column. Great win today. Good things to come. Love, love, love the throwback uniforms. Love, love, love Tony Gonzalez and Mike Peterson. Matty Ice will be one of the all time greats! Go Falcons!

Enter your comments here Chris Huston is a big problem. HIs tackling is lackadaisical and someytimes it’s like he loses interest. Grimes has the willpower and makes the effort, but I think he does not have the overall talent to stop the best teams. Up until now they have held together in the regular season, biut wait until they have to face a Fitzgerald type receiver!

The retro look is cool, at least we have history to look back on as well as too many losing seasons. Hope that is behind us as well. If we had lost I would have demanded they burn the retro uniforms and scatter the ashes to the four winds to prevent any chance of resurrecting the past! The offense looked good except for a few miscues. Still worried about the defense, better, but the process tack time must increase (forgive the buzz words there) to prevent becoming part of other teams offense highlight real.

I thought the retro uniforms looked cool. The reminded me of the bad old days of Atlanta-Fulton Co. Stadium going to games with my dad. They also had a bit of a Ga Bulldog blackout look to them. Go Falcons.

Hey Free, I love your opinion. Let’s start taking a poll of who should be the QB, #2 or #7, I’ll vote first, #2. Of course, if you feel bad for making such an ignorant statement, Philly is just about 800 miles NE. Let me call a real estate agent for you.

if you guys watched the same game that i watched, then i was disapointed in the whole defense. carolina was opening gaping holes in our front line. after their backs broke through the line, where in gods name were the linebackers.i think that the db’s did ok for the most part, i mean they had to be worn out, they were making all the tackles for goodness sake. i bet that the defense line and lb’s did’nt make 10 tackles the whole day. as for the offense passing pretty good, but for the second week in a roll no holes for the backs to run through. think we’ll go up to new england and pull it out, that is if their offense has’nt awaken by then.

Love the throwbacks! Wish the switch was permanent. Afraid we saw today the defense we saw in preseason. Brees should set records against this defense. Concerned Ryan is stretching the field with some longer passes to get the safeties deeper.

This is a new Falcon team. They are strangers in this town. I’ve never seen team-play quite like that. Not here. The players are enthusiastic. The coaches seem knowledgeable.

I like the new Falcons.

Matt Ryan was brilliant. does anyone have his 3rd down conversion rate?
it had to have been close to perfect. the defense gave up too many yards but delohme was coming off a terrible game and had to respond. he has been a pretty good qb except the last 2 games. we are going to have to outscore teams for a while but the defense will come around by about mid season, they’re still young. overall we are looking good!!!
go falcons!!!!!!!

The “young guns” on defence will continue to improve over the next couple of games. There is one exception and his name is Houston. He has shown no interest in seriously playing the game. He has not learned how to cover or to tackle, and I don’t think he is interested in learning or improving. It might be that he is doing his best and his best just is not good enough. Replace him coach and the D will be much better.

Please explain chucking? If it is what I think it is then, how does one person beat a team i.e., Smith, the Panther receiver.

Does Atlanta have a pass rush that will affect Brady since he is alleged to release the football in 2.5 seconds?

Why did the Panthers stop Turner? Just a few little things that are bothering at the moment.
