We have to do better next week! I do appreciate Nesbit arm in the second half. He does look better passing, but what about the fumbles? Oy!

Ramblin Wreck.

I am just happy they got rid of those ugly pants from last year. We have to work on the turnovers- that is obvious. Can’t do that against better competition. The new kid returning punts..WOW. Where did that come from ?! He is going to be a terrific addition. Considering the competition, I would give them a C+.

Im not impressed with the starting DT, the DE are good though. I see more playing time for TJ Barnes coming. The secondary play was excellent. As far as the offense, it just needs to be more consistent. We definetly have a passing attack that is effective, as long as the revceivers catch the ball. Nesbitt really has improved his passing skills. I also still have no faith in Blair. Should be looking other places for a kicker.

Big concern here for Tech. Should have been way more dominate.

Jeff, there are a couple of areas for concern, but should be easily corrected. I still am not a fan of Blair.

Sometimes you play to your competition AND you don’t reveal everything to the scouts. It was a blah game as expected with no App State surprise. Bottom line is… 1-0.

the defense is worrisome, the D-line looked pretty bad, the only thing they did was knock a few passes down. I’m extremely worried about the kicking game, both return games appear to be better, but Blair still can’t hit anything. We have to cut out the fumbles and TO’s, also won’t hurt to get Roddy back.

Neither line looked good really, neither really dominated the line of scrimmage.

Big B CH 99, I have to disagree with you about the O-line. Nesbitt had all day to pass so the pass blocking was great. The run blocking was average, and still got over 300 yds on the ground. The DE looked good, but the DT’s werent there. Need more TJ Barnes. He was only in about four series.

You guys win and you have 12 comments on YOUR blog?
The Georiga Bulldogs lose and most, not all, of you guys flock to the Bulldogs blog?
Hundreds of comments from Tech fans. All negative of course.
Come on Georgia Tech folks. Support your team.
At least Tech won. Revel in glory with your friends.

I hope both teams win out until they play each other.
Go Dawgs!

Yeah I know. It’s a lost cause. But I tried.

I hear what your saying 45ACP, but I would rather revel with 12 a small group, than a huge group that will be filled with idiots. Make of it what you want. I still see your point though.

A win is a win. But very disappointed in 3 areas that were also our problem last year: special teams, receivers, and fumbles. Thought this year would show more improvement.

So, you're the ACC

Your marquee team is imploding on national television (VPI).

Their weak sister from Virginia loses today to William and Mary, 26-14. William and F’ing Mary.

Duke loses to Richmond – correct me if I’m wrong, but that’s a I-AA team.

Maryland is in the process of being drubbed by Cal.

Wake loses at home to doormat Baylor.

NC State scores three points to an SEC bottom feeder in South Carolina.

Your conference sucks. It’s tougher to win the State Championship – of high school football in Georgia – than it is to win the ACC.

Our return game on special teams looked pretty great. It’s awesome to have Tarrant providing a spark in returning punts. However, our kicking game looks awful. A missed PAT and easy FG didn’t help. Glad it was a blowout, otherwise those 4 points might have really hurt against an actual team.

Do you have a short memory?

So, you’re the ACC ……

1st of all, no one other that VT considers VT to be the ACC’s marquee team. They were 5-3 last year in conference and were a heartbeat away from 3-5…. UNC, GT, Miami, Clemson, and FSU could all beat VT. Yes they were the sacrificial lambs to a Alabama team who walked through the SEC (8-0) last year before their losses in the championship game and to the might Utes….

Secondly, how’s come the mighty SEC couldn’t manage a winning record against the lowly ACC in head to head competition last year?

Third, it’s going to be funny to see bottom feeder South Carolina beat scum sucking UGA next week, ain’t it….

Fun game to watch. re figure out…the Jax coach thought he had it figured out and called a blitz on the first play and our QB pitched the ball and the Diesel was untouched. Love it when a plan comes together!

The dogs cannot win so they tout the sec…

So, you’re the ACC – Granted, as a conference, the SEC had a better day yesterday. But the bottom line for this blog is that Tech did its job and won while the mutts took it doggie style. I can’t wait for November.

GO JACKETS! THWG!

Do you have a short memory II?

So, you’re the ACC,

Here is the Final regular season stats from last year… the ACC stunk it up the first year last year too…..

2008 non-conf records:
Big XII – 38-10 (.792)
ACC – 37-11 (.771)
Big Ten – 32-12 (.727)
Big East – 28-12 (.700)
SEC – 33-15 (.688)
Pac Ten – 14-17 (.452)

So, you can’t judge a season on just one week….. If Alabama and Florida could play all the SEC’s games, they would probably be #1, but as it stands, the SEC was actually next to last….
