Dwyer scores more in one quarter than UGA can score against one of the worst defenses in the country (last year) in an entire game. I really wish we had gotten a 5-star running back.

Mark it down now, it’s not hot yet, but somebody just put a box of matches under CMR’s seat.

COX is no D.J Shockley!!! not even close, D.J Was the truth, took us to the Sugarbowl and an SEC Title. I lost faith in COX, he ain’t got it, his talent is severely lacking, he knows the playbook like the back of his hand SO WHAT!!!Bottom line is he can’t make the throws needed to run Mark Richt’s pro-style offense, it’s time to get the young pups ready so that we can hit the ground running next year, or even gain some ground this year, but there is NO WAY we win in the SEC with Joe Cox back there, I respect the guy but he flat out can’t play

Joe Cox is TRASH!!! He can’t hit recievers, fumbling the ball, weak arm. Its one thing to know the offense and quite the other to be able to execute. we see why he sat behind Stafford for 3 years!!!! He’s alittle better then Tereshinski at best, it’s gonna be a long season in Athens.. I say let Super Blue Chip Aaron Murray get quality snaps so that he can lead us to the promise land next year.

UGA’s QB did not perfprm well regardless of flu like symptoms. I am a UGA fan and I am embaressed. Defense was the blame last year, this year until we find a QB it will be the offense.

We didn’t get the turnovers…D played well considering…where was Curran….what two tackles?…..ran the ball ok….what were we in 3rd down conversions( not good)? NO PASSING GAME WHATSO EVER! the KICKOFF RETURN AND FUMBLES KILLED US!

K, I think you’re a little too hard on Cox. There were A LOT of drops today, to include the interception. I hope for GT’s strength of schedule, you guys can find yourselves. Otherwise, it’s going to be a long season.

Good luck for the rest of the season until Thanksgiving.

We are so awesome. Joe Cox for Heisman! Mark Richt for coach of the year. This clearly shows how dominant the SEC is. We should jump in the rankings this week. Our defense gave up less than 30 points. Tech sucks. Florida sucks. We will run the table and win the national championship. Tech is a bunch of nerds and we will beat them by 50. If Joe Cox didn’t have the flu, OSU would have been down by 50 at the half and would not have come out of the locker room.

It’s a shame we had to throw so many flags today, especially for all that roughness… You would think those boys were trying to hurt one another! I declare, those boys need to play nice and softly tackle each other from now on.

Samuels goes down too easily. O line overrated. Cox mediocre. No pass rush. Good run defense. Better D than last year generally. Got bad breaks on a couple of ref calls. Crappy offense play calling. Mediocre special teams…ok except kickoff return, running out of end zone from 10 yds deep, screwing up dowining the ball on 2.

Long season ahead!

Joe Cox was sick alright. What happened to Logan Gray?Defense looked a little better but to bad fumbles in your red zone and you are done.CMR ,stay with what works, run the ball if we cant throw the damn ball! Can we please kick at least one ball into the endzone this year?

Are you kidding me? That was the most pathetic showing I have seen in a very long time. We lost to Okla-homo State? Where the hell was our highly touted offensive line? Apparently our defense must have missed the flight, and oh yeah? Did I miss the announcement at the beginning ot the fall that tackling drills would be suspended at practice this year? I see Willie is right on track to give us another highly ranked SEC defense. I won’t even mention the complete lack of anything by our so called ofense today. Damn, this could be a really long season.

This was absolutely pathetic. Joe Cox just doesn’t have it. I am sick of CMR just handing the ball to someone just because they have “waited their turn”. If the play doesn’t improve then this will be a 7-5 season at best. I mean come on, 7 months to prepare and this is the best that we can do? My grandmother can put more zip on the ball than Cox. I am just at a loss for words.

We have no playmakers on offense or defense. Many opportunities for turnovers and they slipped through our hands. Many small mistakes that made huge differences in the game. D was better but the O and special teams (not so) put them in horrible situations. Best coaching of the day was Willie and not Booboo or Searals…. kind of a tough start and much needs improved before SC next week. We made the Okie State D look like a great D. SC has a better D so we are going to have to win games 10-7 like SC. O the pain…..

Was hoping Cox would do better. Was hoping we would have a pass rush. Was hoping we could find somebody to run the ball. Samuels is good at getting 4-5 yards, but don’t think he will ever break a long one. That’s what I thought about him and King both last season. But the most glaring weakness to me is the coaching. We just don’t have it. Yes, it looks like it WILL be a long season.

Absolutely no pressure on the QB. I still can’t believe he didn’t have 400 yards passing. Defensive end play was horrendous. Cox looked like he just got there–not four years ago. This still looks like a poorly coached team– Turnovers–Penalties–special teams play–just like last year!!!!!!

Turnovers will kill any team. The D was put in very bad position. The ref made two critical calls that O- State scored on. Joe Cox need to become a leader fast. There will be some soul searching this week.

How many times did we run Samuel into the line? I know the the O-line is supposedly our strength this season, but after 30 or so times it gets predictable. The thing is, OSU had the 109th-ranked defense against the pass last season. Sure they have a new D coordinator, but really, how much can change in eight month? Next time, how about putting together a game-plan that attacks an opponent’s weakness instead of putting all the eggs behind the O-line advantage? Finally, Joe Cox could’nt hit the broad side of a barn in the 4th quarter, BUT this happened well after the entire team had become snake bit. If we had thrown more in the first three quarters, when we had a little momentum and before the desperation set in, he and the receivers would have done better and the their confidence would have grown. Again, why not take your chances with one of the worse pass defenses in the country? Unbelievable.

Unbelievable, Oklahoma State sucks, but CMR’s poor coaching and Cox at quarterback gave them the freaking game. We started running from the start why go to the pass, when your Quarterback has an arm like a grade school girl. CMR needs to use one of the freshmen. If CMR doesn’t change quarterbacks Georgia will be a 500 team.

We scored 10 points against a Top 10 team? Tech only scored 37 against Div 1AA. That just shows you how great we are.

Who is UGA

September 5th, 2009
7:35 pm

UGA is a very inconsistent team. Not just today, but last year. The writing is on the wall, can’t blame Willie Martinez for this one, a collective effort, a big fat L. Very one dimensional team, hardly even one dimensional, half a dimension.

UGA Offense:

-A linebacker running the ball. Not very shifty, can miss first contact. A smaller Carlton Thomas (freshman, can’t handle linebackers at this level. Truly a space guy)
-A quarterback who has way to much touch, the ball hangs up to long, inaccurate, to short to throw over the line and well you can see what he is on any good team, a practice quarterback.
-Receiving care won’t matter, because UGA’s signal caller is a 3 star QB playing like a 2 star, the receiving core will have a long year.

Defense: Ironically enough, they played outstanding. They really only allowed 14 points, the other 10 points given-up by turnovers on offense & special team punt coverage bust. Secondary needs work on reading wide outs – zone protection over/under routes better.

Special teams: Besides the kickers. Everyone needs to start over.

Assessment: As a life long dawg fan and football coach, I put my assessment out after the first game. Last year I had the dawgs 8-4, I was close.

Assessment: 6-6. This will be the worst year under CMR. Great christian man, but it will not cut UGA’s standards. This will start a fire storm, not just because of his 6-6 record, but CFB coaches has caught-up and surpassed UGA over the past 2-3 years. In the area’s of coaching and scheming, Saban, Meyer & Paul Johnson will be the standard UGA will be compared to.

UGA will be looking for a coach, if not this year then by next year.
