When former Braves outfielder Jeff Francoeur, recently traded to Atlanta’s NL East rival, the New York Mets, returns to Turner Field tonight for the Mets-Braves series, there’s sure to be mixed fan reaction.
YOU TELL US: Are you going to the game? If you are, how will you greet Frenchy? And even if you’re not going to The Ted, what’s your reaction to seeing Francoeur in Mets orange and blue?

I used to cringe when he came up to bat with runners on base. I could sense a strikeout, groundout, or pop-up was coming – especially when the Braves needed a run. If he shows discipline at the plate, the problem was TP. The pressure will be greater to perform so he can prove he should not have been traded. Lowe should throw the first pitch in the dirt to see if he swings.

I’ll cheer for Frenchy and boo for Frank Wren. I think Schultz said it best in his column–there was hope for Frenchy while there’s none for Church.
Frenchy was a class act while he was here; it’s time for us to return the favor. Those of us with season tickets in Right Field loved having him in our corner, and I’m glad he’s back (even if it is in blue and orange).

Look out Clemson. In a couple of years you could have him playing safety for you after he is done w/ baseball.

Now if the Braves could just get rid of Terry Pendleton. One sorry hitting coach. He should have been able to help Francour and his hitting. Bobby Cox wake up.

I have to be honest….I will truly miss him. Great player who will find his swing again, it’s a damn shame he will most likely do so with The Mets. I moved to NY 15 yrs ago and remain a die-hard Braves fan, which is not so easy here as you can imagine.
All the best Frenchy…
Would love nothing more than to see us sweep The Mets though.

I got tickets last week for this game. I will cheer for Franceour his first at bat, but I will cheer for Ryan Church even louder. I will also cheer when Franceour strikesout or grounds into a double play with runners in scoring position.

I really had to stop caring when the top sports story was about Jeff’s underwear.

Francoeur has one of the best arms in baseball. One of the most exciting plays I’ve seen at the Ted over the last few years was Francoeur throwing out Griffey, Jr. at the plate on a play he should have scored on….a bullet…but hey, now we’ve got Church and all of his upside potential at age 30… (sarcasm off).

Jeff had a good night. he did not hit into many double plays but he tried. French licker has hit into more double plays than anyone New York has seen in awhile. If NY likes a loser, they have a good one now. Lots of luck

…stupid question – just like today’s Braves headline – “Braves beat Francour, Mets” – leave the guy alone. They did not beat “Francour”, they beat the Mets, the team on which he is now a part.
Next thing you know you will be writing about whether the ex-Falcon QB should be back in the league – oh, yeah, you already beat that dead topic!
