i think T.G needs a team to help him take him to the super bowl the chifes cant do it (this year) but the falcons did very good last year and adding T.G and going through this years draft the falcons can do it they need to add more F.A and try to get clay matthews or brian crushing this year

Taking TG for a second round pick is a great idea. I like the copncept of building a team from drafts but you can only do that so much before time takes its toll on contracts and so on. The idea is to win every year, not the year after or the next year but the season at hand and TG will help us do that. He also takes away having to decide to get a TE in the draft on the first round and we can concentrate on D. Many teams every year say they are jsut trying to build off the draft but it could take 5 years to build a team off the draft and by that time your original first round players might be on their way out the door to another team so the Falcons do still have to live in the now, not all the time but somtimes.

There is something that the doubters are forgetting here. This is an experienced Pro Bowl, probable Hall of Fame tight end, that would solidify the O-line in many ways. His presence would make the offense that much more complicated for defenses. Who do you know can help better than Gonzo...Peele? Hartsock? Ha! Dimitrof, you are a genius. Keep working your magic. Please do not listen to the southern mentality that has kept Atlanta (ringless) since the inception of the franchise (i.e. The Smiths). This is the best management team I have seen in Atlanta in over 25 years. Go Falcons
!...Welcome Gonzalez! Super Bowl 2010 bound!

This rumor scares me to death. This draft is so criticle for "The Process" but depth in the draft is an issue with what i think it fills the Falcons needs. DL needs are a must and it realy depend on how much confidence they have in DT Lewis coming back from injury and starting. I love B.J. Radji but we cant move up to get him. Falcons scheme calls for a space eater like Grady to let Babineaux run wild so i think Ron Brace. Ziggy Hood would be nice but he reminds me of a bigger version of Babineaux. I don't think CB will be an immediate impact in the draft for the Falcons so they my have to pick up a veteran like Bly or Mcalister.LB in this draft are good but a good Dl makes a LB job much easier. So get you DL first. Pull the trigger on this trade so it helps Ryan progress vs. regress. Give a third round pick for this year and a coditional pick next year based on TG's performance.Build your defense thru the draft.Dl first,CB and S.

As I understand it, the Falcons are planning to pick a defensive player in round 1. If they are thinking of taking a tight end at pick 55 in round 2, they will probably be better off picking a proven receiving tight end like Gonzales. Ryan is playing with one hand behind his back without a good receiving tight end. We need a few "wily veterans", especially on second and third downs.

And he can block, too.
