Purdue and Gonzaga present the biggest upside for an upset of a no. 1. Though I sure as heck hope Duke doesn’t make it past Villanova. …

Of all the teams still playing I’d like to see Duke go on and win it all. Coach K is a class act, even if sometimes his players are not.

Blindog, you obviously don’t watch much basketball to say that Coach K is a class act. Duke won’t make it to the Final Four this year. They depend on the 3-pointer too much, are inconsistent with their inside game, and will get into foul trouble.

Blindog, I almost forgot, Duke’s turnover ratio is higher this year than previous years. They’re good but not the team of Duke’s past.

Coach K not a class act? Barbara you can hate on Duke all you want …it is always in vogue. But to suggest that Coach K is not a class act is…stupid. Envy should not be confused with truth.

I could not find any venue that was suitable for discussing the UK situation, so I settled on this blog. I read on Rivals that many fans consider the likes of UF and MSU (coaches Donovan and Izzo respectivley) as more relevant in today’s BB world. I beg to differ, Kentucky remains a member of BB Royalty (together with UNC, Duke, Kansas, Indiana), and generally speaking would attract the coaches from UF and MSU if offered the HC job at Kentucky. That doesn’t mean that the present coaches from these two schools would leave their respective schools, for they are very comfortable and well remunerated where they are. But the power of ego, such as when Mack Brown left UNC(he was well payed, recruited with the best, had great facilities, won big-time) for Texas, you couldn’t rule out such a move.
