A new year should bring with it fresh thinking and tactics for use against old and new societal challenges.
And in that regard it’s hard to beat the enthusiasm, energy and intellect of smart young people already known as high achievers. That’s why the Georgia Forward Young Gamechangers program is channeling young ideas toward ways to improve our state.
We asked a few members of this year’s class to write about their views of government, its role and what it should be doing to help Georgia prosper in 2013.
Their essays are below.
Discussion on Atlanta\'s economy, schools, transportation, leadership, quality of life.

Anytime I think of anything concerning our youth, the matrix, unholy, ungodly, traitors, drugs, inordinate affection, inordinate sex, tattoos, abortions, homosexuals, mongrels, and China comes to mind. You may understand where I’m coming from with the first eleven, but China might need a little clarity.
When the perverted New World Order integrationist crowd and their devilish black minions etc. infested a generation of Chinese with drugs, their wise leaders closed the doors preventing anyone from entering or departing for a generation. When President Richard Nixon gained entry in 1972, he found every Chinese to be as sharp as tact and as clean as a whistle.
I know we have completely different political systems which prevent Americans from correcting the perverted values imposed on our youth by the New World Order integrationist crowd and their devilish black minions via their “educational” system. But we should seek remedies under our system of government which produce similar results.
Amen?

I was laughing before I finished the first paragraph of the Emory professor’s suggestion that Georgia should “bring more than $33 billion of federal money into our state” to fund Medicaid expansion under ObamaCare.
Does this woman not understand that the federal government is bankrupt, with a $16 trillion budget deficit, and that it’s not free money – that we’re federal taxpayers too.
It’s more of the usual starry-eyed liberal solution to every problem, spend more money from the bottomless pit of U.S. Treasury dollars.

Well, here we go again with another silly and insane liberal fallacy… the idea that young people with no life experience know more about the world than those of us who have been walking the world since before those youngsters were born.
This idiocy first arose in the 1960s. The “Greatest Generation” survived the Great Depression, fought and won World War II, built the greatest economy with the highest standard of living in the history of the human race, while holding off the Soviet Union’s plans for world conquest, eventually defeating the Soviets without lighting off a single nuclear device…
…and then some of their children decided their parents didn’t know anything, and set about to “change” everything. These soft, spoiled, ignorant, drug-addled dunces set in motion events that now, decades later, have brought us to the point of civil war or civilizational collapse.
…and here we go again, with Atlanta Forward getting all worked up over the brilliance of some young achievers and their vast overwhelming life experience.
Right.
Liberalism. The looniness never ends.

I’d start by electing a few Republicans to the city’s leadership. Or maybe just one.
