1/11: Will gas prices go to $4?

Moderated by Rick Badie

Metro Atlantans are wedded to their cars. When gas prices inch up, even a few cents, we take notice. Today, a senior petroleum analyst predicts pain at the pump with regular gas to reach $4 per gallon. Or more, depending on where you live. Also, a AAA spokeswoman advises us to educate ourselves and prepare.

I hope so actually, it is work the extra $20 per week to see Obama back his angry wife up and move back to Chicago. Consider this my contribution to the future of America.

10-4 Joe! Obozo and indeed all leftist socialist democraps and so called independents must be voted out to save this great country! Also the Supreme Court must remove from the discussion all left wing anarchist and racist groups like the naacp, the aclu, sierra club, southern poverty law center, all the nut case economic and social justice thugs, the world wildlife fund, nature conservancy and the like that are no more than anti USA, anti private ownership, anti business, anti economy, anti Constitution!!

Joe, you are exactly right, but the liberals don’t want to hear the truth.

With Obozo in office, bank on it. He refuses to ween our dependence on foreign oil by tapping into the vast resources our country has. Did you know that the state of N. Dakota has the 8th largest oil reserve in the world? Yet we can’t touch it, while Canada drills just a few hundred miles away. Not to mention Alaska and all the natural gas deposits under the continental 48. Yet one more reason to vote him out in November…however his socialist, entitlement, pro-union, bailouts for all stances that will turn the US into Greece trump everything else…

Maybe the non-driving people will catch MARTA or stay home and OFF the streets. That’s the ONLY GOOD thing about gas being so high! I’m not the least bit suprised. When you have people in Congress that has a Monopoly thing going on with fuel the prices will continue to rise and their pockets will continue to get fatter. It’s so unfortunate…

D A and others: The last time I checked our national oil supply is NOT owned by the government! It is called capitalism…ya’ know supply and demand? If you had a business and could sell your products at a higher price due to worldwide demand, wouldn’t you sell it to the highest bidder?

Folks , get used to it. Once the economic recovery in the world improves, demand will increase and the price will go up again and then fall to another “equilibrium point”. What costs less these days? Anything?

Again – Hey lynnbo – let’s get off the “blame the rich” kick (The poor get more poor and the rich get more rich………….so whats new). It’s getting old. If you want to blame someone, why not ask your president and our government officials why they are not doing more to combat fluctuating gas prices. It seems to me that in no other case is price fixing more evident than the per gallon gas at the pump prices. I mean it matters not what company it is, they all have per gallon prices that are basically at the same level in any one local. If that’s not price fixing, I don’t know what is. And if left to get away with it, they will. And while you’re at it, why not look into a flat tax policy – that’ll take care of your issue of the rich getting richer at the expense of the majority of us. And this coming from a registered GOP’er now upset that he has to classify himself as an Independent.
