Update: Trooper involved in crash is fired
When Kathy Porter, wife of Atlanta Braves trainer Jeff Porter, was killed in a Saturday wreck involving a Georgia State Patrol vehicle, attention turned again to the ongoing debate over high-speed police chases. What rules should govern pursuits that are inherently dangerous to innocent drivers and pedestrians? Is it worth the risk, even when chasing dangerous suspects?
Discussion on Atlanta\'s economy, schools, transportation, leadership, quality of life.

Google the following:
“Police officer charged in crash”
Results? 117,000,000.
While I realize that doesn’t mean 117,000,000 cops have been charged, it does do away with the lies that cops don’t get charged in incidents such as this.
Don’t think anything else needs to be said.
What an insipid post

There is no such thing as TO SERVE and PROTECT any more. It’s a money making machine. If they could stop someone for a broken tail light no matter what the consequence they would. Blue lights and siren does not give them the wright of way, they are asking for the wright of way. This is very sad for all concerned.

Cops love to chase. So do dogs. Not much difference, except dogs are never fascist buzzcut nazis.
