Georgia’s small businesses are hurting. One group says poor sales are the No. 1 problem, followed by taxes. Confidence in the economy and the government’s ability to aid recovery are low. Business owners don’t expect a turnaround anytime soon.

The ladies that opened the salon had years of experience and apparently don’t mind working hard: That trips most new businesses because the new owner lacks experience in the field and the 12 and16 hour days don’t fit in well with their social lives.
