Alright Cagers, new post up ! See you over there. Enjoy as we exhale a sigh of relief on what would have been one of the most embarassing losses in a long time and pretty much derailed the season.

Now we get to take another breath as we await the injury reports on Turner, Ryan, Dahl, Baker, and Owens.

Sport that is a good question and hard one to answer. If Smith was an offensive minded coach it would be easier but he is a defensive coach. That puts BVG in a tough situation. Players have to listen to one coach but have to worry about another. DC is a tough job but I think Smith has the final say.

Hey Cagers! Big victory today, not because we beat a Super Bowl contender, but because we saved our season. It was a bad game top to bottom, start to finish but we somehow found a way to win. How many injuries can one team absolve and expect to win.

Let's compare, just for fun:

Matt Ryan - Drew Brees
Michael Turner - Pierre Thomas
Jerious Norwood - Reggie Bush
Harry Douglas - Robert Meachem
Left Tackle and Right Guard
Peria Jerry - Sedrick Ellis
Brian Williams - Jabari Greer
Brian Finneran - Lance Moore

Not saying we're even near as close as good as the Saints, but it sure would hurt them a little I think.

Working on a new post. Keep your eyes out this week, because the vitriol spewers will be out this week in full force.

Our former QB had the nerve to say that "ATL is still my city". Unbelievable.

Interesting to hear that about Turner LRD. He took a pretty nasty hit there before he got hurt. Seemed like his leg got caught up under another players body while another player came plowing through him - putting him in an awkward position.

It'd be great if he was good to go next week, but even if he is, I don't know how reliable the guy is at the moment. Not questioning the guy's toughness, just his ability to make cuts on that ankle. Hope he and Ryan are good to go though.

And Sport, that's actually a really good question. I do believe that Van Gorder makes the defensive playcalls. Don't know what they do in terms of personnel and who should start/be on the field. It might be a cooperative effort between both, but I'm not sure. Anybody else wanna chime in on that?

A simple question ( or maybe not a simple question). Who is actually in control of our overall defense, Coach Smith or Brian Van Gorder? Any thoughts?
