Matt is only in his second season and is making mistakes but he does have an NFL arm and will get better. Will it be good enough? Only time will tell. Cagers, don't give up on him just yet. Steve Bart had a terrible 2nd season for the Birds. Hell June Jones once took his job. What does that tell you? Matt does not have Bart's arm but Matt is smart and is a hard worker. I believe he will be a winner here for a long time to come. It is only my opinion but I think the Birds with Ryan will be ok or better than ok. Today was not good but have faith!!!

Hey Cagers, New Post Up! Tough, enraging lost  But the Eagles loss certainly helps. Sure gotta turn things around in a hurry.

See you over there.

With Turner possibly being out for two to four weeks, I,m pretty sure Thomas is digging around trying to find Steckers' phone #. Or will there be a Larry Johnson sighting in Atlanta?

Steve - Pretty decent throw for his last TD to the TE who was covered by 3 defenders.

I hate the Falcons losing. I want them to win the SuperBowl too, but these expectations for Ryan after what 24 or games is pretty lofty.

Believe in the process and judge effort at this point. Other than the 2 80 yard drives and the last TD we gave up, I thought the D's effort was good. Encouraging.

Ryan had a bad 1st QTR and that bad pick at the end, but I saw a lot of encouraging in between. Had this team won 6 games last year (my prediction), we'd be thrilled right now.

I doubt we make the playoffs. I think our injuries will make 9 wins tough. But this is the QB of our future. I believe he will be the next Peyton. NOT NEXT week. In a couple of years.

The QB guru is here to talk about Matt Ryan. I will say that I am impressive with Ryan until he gets in the red zone or under pressure. QBs like Ryan will fool you into thinking he has lots of potential, but the tell tell sign to me was the scouting report that I read. The report stated that he could not make all the throws. The one throw you have to make as an NFL QB is throwing it in tight windows and this is where Ryan comes up short which is what you see in the red zone. He only throw TDs when the WR is wide open.

Ryan has a chance to prove that he is next great QB if he doesn't have a strong running game.

I think this team had a chance, but we needed everything to go right this year. Converesly , everything has gone wrong. Injuries:
Baker
Jerry
Moore
Turner
Norwood
Douglas
Players not playing as well as last year:
Ryan
Abe

Anything can happen, but I bet we lose Turner for at least 3 games. With Ryan struggling, and our D still young and weak, and NO depth, we just can't hang.

Maybe we'll gell... maybe Norwood comes back. Maybe Ryan explodes, but I just don't see it. The team is too young AND shallow.

We can still win 9, even as banged up as we are. I see that as progress. It shows a team on the rise. Remember that NO had a rough year last year. But for now, I think we need to manage expectations and HOPE like hell for 9 wins.

The Falcons are definitely not out of it, not by a long shot, but thats as far as records go. From a consistency stand point the Falcons look like there out, the team just has not jelled all year, they had a couple of decent games against pitiful teams but thats about it. Seminole said at the beginning of the season that he thought the Falcons lacked a sense of urgency, 9 games in that seems to still be the case.

D3, on a lighter note and not to talk about the FFL much, your looking good this week and with the way things are going you could still end up in the playoffs and probably with a good seed. Your team just went through a phrase, look at it this way, at least your team is coming out at a good point of the season, my team is going in and its not the time to go into a slump.
