Ryan is a sophamore, but not in a slump. Needs two more years to graduate to next level. As long as he doesn’t cut class or drop out of school, he will be fine.

Agreed with everything you said Wabe but we cannot expect our 2nd year QB to become Joe Montana overnight. Give it a little time, he is going to be very good.

Basically, I’m thinking Ryan’s a bit more at fault than the O-Line. Outside of the Dallas + Miami games, the O-Line’s done their job. It’s Ryan’s job to read defenses and get the football out of his hands quicker.

Everybody’s talked about the addition of T.G. and how much it’s helped. But I’ve seen some concerns to go along with it. Don’t get me wrong, T.G. is a hell of an addition. But, Ryan’s really keyed in on T.G. So much that he’s missing wide open receivers outside at times. Today, he threw a pass into triple coverage to T.G. when White was going deep with one on one coverage and Jenkins was open when he broke in on his route. The guy’s gotta read defenses, and be more decisive with the ball. That’s something that’s been lacking for much of this season from Ryan: decisivness.

Coop, I as you would like our Dome to be the loudest in the NFL but it will take time. Winning consistently will help and with Blank as the owner it will only get better. We have a good future ahead of us my friend.

Just wanna comment on the O-Line. The O-Line went up against a pretty solid pass rush and held their own. Matt Ryan did face some pressure, but it didn’t seem like a letdown of the O-Line. A couple times last week and now a couple times this week, we’ve seen Ryan not trust his line and try to run straight out of the pocket up the middle and he’s ended up taking sacks. He’s got to trust his protection, sit in the pocket, and wait for one of his receivers to get open. He’s developed a case of having happy feet. On the Falcons 2nd drive, the Redskins only rushed 2 DE’s, and Ryan felt he was being pressured and tryed taking off up the middle. He ended up being sacked.

I wanna see him sit in the pocket, maybe move around when necessary to avoid pressure and buy time, and deliver the ball to his receivers.
