I think that Brent is capable of being the starter.I think that Chevis can start.I also think that with the young corners that Atlanta has,A rotation would be a good fit.My reason for saying that is either can start or play in the nickel. It would be no different than rotating receivers or de's.Look how it has helped keep john Abraham healthy.Atlanta did a great job last year by rotating players both on offense and defense. That really kept the players healthy through the year.

Why does everyone call Brent Grimes short, he is over 5'9"? no one has mentioned that Chris Owens is 5'9"

Nookah,
This is a blog for Falcons Fans and that's why I'm on it. I actually care about players and fans beyond the game. Especially young M. Vick.

If you don't like facts, don't read my posts.

As a Falcon fan for 30 years, I am all to aware of the fact we have never had back to back winning seasons. I can not believe a true Falcon fan would not stick up for Vick after I watched him sacrifice his body time and time again. More than any Falcon I have ever watched.

I reiterate my disapointment in Arthur Blank for his psuedo high and mighty attitude and inability to provide ME and other Falcon Fans with a back to back winning season.

As for your moral judgement, thanks for the offer but I am perfectly comfortable with my own.

Tyler,

you are on the wrong blog my brother. This blog is for genuine Falcon fans who actually love this team and respect the game and not the personalities who play the game. In otherwords no player is bigger than this team, bar none!!! I love Vick's talent myself (I won't lie) and wish him all the best, just not against us.

I have no hatred for him, in fact I'm glad he has got another opportunity. The facts are simple. The man lied continually and what he did was preposterous, end of story.!!!! I will not allow my admiration for an athlete override my moral judgement.

Tyler, it's all good my brother and I'll leave some lyrics for you compliments of the one and only Robert Nesta Marley................Check the messsage, it's for your boy!!!

In this life, in this life, in this life, In this, oh sweet life:
We're (we're coming in from the cold); We're coming in (coming in), coming in (coming in),
coming in (coming in), coming in (coming in), Coming in from the cold.

It's you - it's you - it's you I'm talkin' to - Well, you (it's you) - you (it's you) - you I'm talking to now.
Why do you look so sad and forsaken? When one door is closed, don't you know another is open?

Could you let the system make you kill your brotherman? No, no, no, no, no, no! No, Dread, no!
Could you let the system make you kill your brotherman? (No, Dread, no!)
Would you make the system get on top of your head again? (No, Dread, no!)
Well, the biggest man you ever did see was - was just a baby.

Go Falcons!!!

Nuff respect everytime!!!!

Philly signing Vic is a smart move. They finished 9th in total OFF, but their weak rushing OFF caused them to finish behind us in 3rd down conversion percentage and redzone OFF. And as we all know, those were major weaknesses of our OFF.

I think the Vikings backed off on signing Vic because they'd already made a fool of themselves by wasting time catering to that over the hill HOF nut case Brett Farve. They need someone that can either assume the #1 QB job immediately, or provide quality backup without making TJackson feel threatened or uncomfortable. Vic isn't ready to take over anyones OFF at this point, and he'd definitely become a threat to any young QB over the course of the season.

Playing behind DMcNabb will certainly be beneficial to Vic's development as a passer. Until now, he's always been THE MAN and has never had an experienced QB playing behind or ahead of him as a mentor. He has a 2yr contract, with the 2nd yr optional. That means he has a yr behind McNabb and HC AReid to recapture and improve his gm. If things work out for him, teams won't view him as a big risk next yr and will be willing to sign him to a contract as a potential starter rather than a backup. Now next yr, after he's had a yr of experience under his belt, is when the Vikings would be wise to jump on Vic.

See you folks tomorrow. Can't wait till the game saturday. We all know who will be the main cogs on offense. Hopefully saturday we will get a sense of who is going to emerge on the defensive side of the ball.
