LONG TIME FALCON FAN-You're entitled to your opinion, just as long as you recognize it's nothing more than your personal opinion. You see, when you wanted to make your point about your opinion of Fitzgerald being in another league, you didn't hesitate to use a statistic to support your contention. You were very quick to single out his higher number of TD catches. But when you don't feel the stats adequately supoort your position, your response is "FORGET ABOUT THE STATISTICS".

You made the following statement: "FORGET ABOUT THE STATISTICS WHEN FRITZ CAN GO UP AGAINST ANY DEFENDER IN THE LEAGUE, MAKE THAT ANY TWO DEFENDERS, AND STILL COME DOWN WITH THE BALL". How is that any different from RWhite going up against any defender in the league, make that any two or three defenders, and coming down with the ball? You see, RWhite didn't have a pass catching TE, or a 3rd WR on the field at all times to relieve the pressure like Fitzgerald had.

You also used TD stats to rate WR RMoss, who's overrated. He's a one dimensional homerun hitter, but he's good at it. He's a lousy 3rd down or possession receiver who doesn't run good routes and won't go across the middle. He tore the league up until CCarter, the Vides primary WR left. When asked to take over Carter's spot, he fell apart and started having all sorts of problems. After getting fed up, the Vikes traded him to Oakland. Oakland quickly realized he couldn't handle being a primary WR and traded him to New England. The Patriots recognized his problem, but they had WWelkin as their primary WR and Moss. As the #2 WR, he once again tore up the league. He's a one dimensional #2 WR and that's all he'll ever be, just like Perless Price was.

You can't measure a players value by what a team is willing to pay because there are simply too many veriables involved. DT GJackson sign a 3yr contract that will pay him more than JBabineaux. Does that make GJackson is a better player? Detroit is known for making stupid decisions when it comes to drafting and overpaying marginal players. There's also salary cap consideration, and a players willingness to give a hometown discount and/or take less for the benefit of the team. Some players want to be paid fairly, while some want to be the highest paid.

No one can justify saying RWhite isn't in the same league as LFitzgerald. It's not supported by their numbers and/or circumstances, and personal opinions, feelings and preferences don't count.

SeminoleWarrior, Have you heard about how your THS Bulldogs are going to do this year? Cairo has only 2 returning starters. 1 on D/1 on O. I think we might be looking at a long rebuilding season.
