Exactly what is your criteria for determining that RWhite isn’t in LFitzgerald’s league? I beg to differ, and here’s why.

RWhite has caught passes from 5 different QB’s over the last 3yrs, 3 of them in 2007, and has had 3 different HC’s, OC’s and OFF systems in that period. In 2006 the Falcons led the NFL in fewest pass attempts. Fitzgerald has benefitted tremendously from playing his entire NFL career in a high octane passing OFF.

ANYONE THAT CAN OBJECTIVELY COMPARE THEIR STATS AND THEIR VASTLY DIFFERING CIRCUMSTANCES, CAN SEE THAT RWHITE IS DEFINITELY IN LFITZGERALD’S LEAGUE, AND THEN SOME. Please show me what you have to the contrary, besides your personal opinions, conjecture and wishful thinking.

Secondly, you’re dead wrong about Roddy’s situation. He can’t force the Falcons to do anything. TD could tell him to suck an egg and guess what…. Roddy will report to the team later in the preseason. He would have no choice but to play for the $2.8m this year. As a white collar worker I make more by selling more and don’t whine and complain about it. My base salary hasn’t changed in years nor do I expect it too.

What you don’t seem to understand is the team holds all the cards here, Roddy basically holds none. Not sure why you seem to take that personally.

And lastly, anyone that even tries to make the argument that Fitzgerald may not be in RW’s league is totally irrational. It’s tough to argue with someone that makes such an absurd statement. Even Chris Mortensen said he’s not in LF’s league.

Both of you responded because you felt personally attacked, because of your erroneous assumption that I’m in support of his holdout. Using contract law, and ignoring his unique employment situation, and the idea he’s violating his contract, tells me your issues are greater than the holdout. This isn’t the 1st time a player has heldout. He!!, it’s not the 1st time RWhite’s heldout. Maybe, just maybe, you’re upset that an individual that’s already a millionaire, because of his unique employment situation, can force his employer to pay him even more millions before his current contract has expired. And you, as a blue or white collar worker, don’t have that power or option. GET OVER IT.

PROFESSOR-When it comes to education and logic, READING COMPREHENSION IS FUNDAMENTAL.

That was my main thing about Roddy holding out. The other players who are in their last year of their contract are in camp honoring the contract that was signed. That’s the big thing with me. Roddy could show up and let his performance speak for itself just as everyone else is doing. I can’t get the comment that Demarcus Ware made out of my head. That’s the definition of a professional athlete in my opinion.

Also, let’s keep it respectful in here. Disagreements and arguments are welcome for sure, but personal attacks, condescending posts, and name-calling are not needed.

The Roddy situation has certainly stoked the coals, but remember that there are several players who are in their last year of their contract (Norwood, Dahl, Clabo), but are in camp with their teammates letting their agent handle it.

If you’re so in favor of players that “outperform” their contracts holding out for more money then you must also like that owners can terminate them for non (or under)-performance. But it seems like I’ve seen you call that an unfair practice by owners. Sounds like a raging double standard to me.
