Allowing Brooking to go to Dallas was a mistake. He was indeed an iconic player and a great team leader. But business being business, I think Peterson was a good choice to replace him.

Good(Bad) Wednesday Evening Bird Cagers! Getting in a little late, but what a day to cover.

Let's all cross our fingers and toes that HD's knee is just a sprain, but tomorrows post will be talking about the reality of it not. Usually continuing with defensive analysis, but gotta cover what's pertinent.

cutter - Agreed. Trey Lewis is a serious injury question mark, and if we're still seeing issues with his knee we have to seriously hedge our bets, which is what I think we're doing with so many DT's in camp. A must to keep Vance Walker and Thomas Johnson, IMO. Even Jason Jefferson if we can.

Seminole - We all knew what we were getting with Big Trey. Lets hope for the best, but we're seeing some red flags yet again with his knees. Lets all hope and pull for the best for him.

jason - A good point. I think this camp is one last shot for Big Trey to prove he's healthy, otherwise time to move on.

cutter(2) - Perfectly said. Roddy is entering serious resentment territory with many fans, including myself. When you see someone who's got such a great work ethic and character go down like HD, it really tees fans off to see a player with so much talent acting like a complete prima donna.

BT - Great optimism and good point on Roddy. With all the great potential we have for this year, this guy is complaining about a couple of million when so many people don't have jobs or health insurance for godsake.

WR - Thanks for the cameo. Just wanted to make sure you haven't gone AWOL. Are you training in hiding with Roddy White? Just Kiddin', can't wait to have you back .

CBrass - Appreciate the link, and I get the feeling that the majority of fans are starting to lose patience with Roddy.

crabapple joe - Keith Brooking was the ultimate standup guy and player for the Falcons over his entire career. And he deserves a lot of credit for helping the new regime get off to a rocking start. Ultimately, maybe he will fit better in Coach Phillips 3-4 scheme as an ILB. We wish him the best.

Seminole(2) - Absolutely. It looks as though Roddy and his bootleg agent are trying to "stand up" to an emerging team and GM and hijack the whole team. No room for that BS. I gotta point to back up your argument soon.

Krebs - I'm afraid you're right on HD. Assume the worst when talking about injuries to knees. They are rarely sprains or strains. HD is a great character guy, team player, and hard worker and will be fine. That sounds like the complete opposite of another receiver with the Falcons.

Sarah B. - Absolutely. TD is the man, and I think through his excellent work is the reason so many fans side with him instead of Roddy and his bootleg agent, even though none of us know the exact facts.

JJ - Got furloughed tomorrow, so it'll be a little bit since I got a little more time. Originally it was supposed to be on Nicholas and Wire, but current events demand a different one. Want to take a big juicy bite on this one.

Hey Falcon Nation!!! Greetings!!! I can go to bed now, there has been a recent WR sighting...lol. What's up my brother? Good to have you back if even for a short while.

The HD news is not good my fellow Cagers. From the sound of it, we may have to assume the worst, although I am cautiously optimistic that HD will bounce back. God forbid it does not go well for us, then I know we'll find someone to step up big time. Perhaps we have a diamond waiting in the "rough". Now we'll see what the young guys are made of. Can Aaron Kelly step up and be the find of the offseason? If not him then I am sure someone else will. D3, how has he been doing in camp to date?

Seminole, I'm with you 100% as far as Roddy is concerned. When I read D Led's article, the same thought came to me. Larry he ain't by no stretch of the imagination!!!! I'm a firm believer in the saying that no one player is bigger than the team. I would have no problem with TD telling him to report and play for the $2.2M. If he wants to be a FA let him go ahead. He can be replaced. I guess he thinks he is better than he really is. I do however believe that he deserves a new contract but not for LF money, no way. I really hope TD does not overpay. He is worth no more than $7-8M per year. If I have read TD right however, I don't think he will overpay anyway.

Go Falcons!!!

Nuff respect everytime!!!!

I'll dedicate this to the Falcons current situation.

Crisis

They say the sun an-a shines for all, But-a yin some people world, it never shine at all. Mm-mm-mm.
They say love is a stream that will find its course; I mean - some-a people think life is a dream
So they making matters worse.

But no matter what the crisis is; No matter what the crisis is: Doin' it, doin' it, doin' your thing!
(Give Jah all the thanks and praises!) Givin' it, givin' it, givin' it, givin' it! (Give Jah all the thanks and praises!)...................................Robert Nesta!!!

Well guys and gals I'm out. I hope to God that HD didn't go down with an ACL injury. That's the last thing that we/he need. Have a good one and care.
