Seattle Seahawks injury report: Marshawn Lynch did not practice today

Seattle running back Marshawn Lynch did not practice because of a foot injury on Wednesday.

Here’s the Seattle Times report. Lynch usually sets out practice on Wednesday.

Cornerback Byron Maxwell (hamstring) and safety Jeron Johnson (hamstring) also did not practice.

Lynch was listed on the injury report last weak with a back injury on Wednesday. He fully participated in practice on Thursday and Friday, so the foot injury is new and may have been incurred in the Washington game.

Seattle coach Pete Carroll has stated his displeasure over the playing conditions in Washington. The Seahawks lost defensive end Chris Clemons to a knee injury in that game.

Atlanta Falcons injury report: Moore and Abraham limited
FLOWERY BRANCH–Falcons cornerback Chris Owens (hamstring) and safety Charles Mitchell (calf) missed practice today and safety William Moore (hamstring) and defensive end John Abraham (ankle) participated on a limited basis.

Moore, a starter, missed the final four regular-season games. Abraham, who leads the team in sacks with 10, was injured during the regular-season finale.

Mitchell suffered the injury during the bye week but coach Mike Smith said he expects him to return to practice tomorrow. Mitchell was active for 10 regular-season games.

Owens sat out the regular-season finale against Tampa Bay. Owens is a key special-teams player.

Now, I’m not saying anything here, and it’s probably not a big deal, and every team is gonna play a little cat/mouse, BUT let’s review some things here now on a late Wednesday….we know the Seahawks are traveling back and forth from the west twice in one week, Clemens, their premier pass rusher is OUT, they just signed an out of work kicker to replace their starter which is such a huge deal if ya think about it, and now this which…may or may not have a slight impact on the way things play out. This is good, boys. This is good. Not getting overly excited. Not making a big deal here….so I’ll just whisper this…..rise up.

The game is sold out, but you can get tickets at aftermarket sites like the nfl exchange or stub hub. That is always the case for sold out games. I’m not giving up my tickets though. See you in section 112 for a Seahawk BBQ.

Sure, there is nothing unusual about Lynch sitting out Wednesdays, but it is alarming that his foot is giving him problems.

As a Falcon fan, I don’t mind admitting to taking whatever the football gods send our way…Clemons out, rusty PK, Lynch with a bad foot…the Falcons need every bit of this to win this Sunday.

Seattle trolls! What a concept! It’s no wonder with all the head cases on that team that it would spill over to the rudder-less band-wagonning rabble that are their fans.

Go Sonics! Er, nevermind.

Sunday will be a battle of the Team Captains vs the Tongue Waggers. Sherman should carry a video camera so he can film the back side of Julio taking it to the house!

“Lynch was listed on the injury report last weak with a back injury on Wednesday”

Now it’s his foot? Sounds like disinformation to me. Won’t matter. Lynch will suffer the same smackdown as the rest of the seachickens.

The Hawks are going to be banged up after playing on “kitty litter” at RG3’s place. Meanwhile the Falcons have used the bye week effectively. In 2010, trying to be a “players coach,” Smitty “rewarded” the players with a full week off. Roddy White tweeted that he was partying in South Beach! Then recall that the week of the game vs the Packers, there was an ice storm in Atlanta. So players were slow to get to Flowery Branch, I think Abe had a minor wreck on the ice etc etc. Then look what happened vs the Packers. My point is — Smitty has buckled down and the whole team seems much more focused this time. Sure we blew one vs Caolina but the 2 games before that (Detroit, NY Giants) we looked really tough. We are rested and ready. Bring on the Hawks! GO FALCONS

Great injury report. Their kicker is on IR and they signed a replacment that hasn’t played all year. lol. Punter may be handling kickoffs.

Pete Carroll whinned, cried and swallowed his gum, THAT’S GUM with a G not a C, over the playing conditions in Washington.

There is a reason so many of the 12th Man are commenting on this story. It’s being blasted through all of our media here(with link to this story) in the Northwest. I hope that this weeks game is a good one. I feel for the Falcon fans. As a life long Seahawk fan, I too know about playoff droughts. May the best team win.

Lynch always sits out on Wednesday. Don’t worry ATL, we will show up and stick it to you just like every other team. Atlanta can’t stop the running game, what is Seattle? A run team, and good at it might I add. We shut your corners down, it’s over…. 24-10 Hawks! And don’t worry, I’m not a troller, I didn’t “Like” a Hawks pages, or a teammates FB page to hate on those sites, like some dirty bird fans have, this site was “public knowledge”. Go Hawks!
