Atlanta Falcons: Playoff tickets go on sale on Thursday

The Falcons announced that playoff tickets will go on sale to the general public on Thursday at 10 a.m.

With Saturday night’s 31-18 win over the Detroit Lions at Ford Field, the 2012 NFC South Division champion Falcons have clinched home field advantage throughout the playoffs, a first-round bye, and will be in action at the Georgia Dome during the NFC Divisional Playoff weekend (January 12 or 13).

Since 2008, the Falcons are 33-5 at home and are 7-0 at the Georgia Dome this season.

After the 2010 season, the Falcons finished 13-3 and were the NFC’s No. 1 seed for the playoffs. They were upset by Green Bay Packers 48-21 in the divisional round of the playoffs at the Georgia Dome on Jan. 15, 2011.

Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster.com, at all Ticketmaster locations, or by calling Ticketmaster at 1-800-745-3000. Single-game playoff tickets for the Divisional playoff game start at $65 and there will be an eight ticket limit per person.

Playoffs!!!! That word has such a nice ring to it. I am proud of the Falcons. Despite the “talking heads” who predict another flat performance, I believe the Falcons will win the first round. A MOCK draft has the Falcons picking 31 of 32 with Houston picking last or winning it all.
Falcons have shown how tough they can play, Now the question remains, can they WIN the BIG games? I believe they can win it all.
It’s NOW or NEXT Year..

Hello, Mr. and Mrs. diehard Packer Fan, Giant Fan, Redskin fan, _________fan. Once you move to Atlanta and abandon your old city and come here because your crap town/ state can’t produce jobs and a good economy, you are no longer a fan in anyone’s eyes but your own. So show up in our our stadium after soaking in our abundant resources that the trash Burg you left behind couldn’t. Wear the colors from knowing we won’t assault you here, like visitor fans back home get greeted. Just know that nobody here or back home considers you a fan, so keep it to yourself. Even if the team you claim wins, you lose. Or just don’t buy the tickets at the dome and go home. For good. We’re kind of sick of you and your fat wife and children.

@ Carz. Yea, I’ve never had a problem with a KY transplant. It seems to be the northern cities that come here and spew their so called “passion” for their teams. In which passion = hatred for anything but your team.

@KY transplant; understand you’re sentiments, but other transplants that come on here tryin’ to put down the ATL, & they live here, thinking they are blog dominant & I get it when there try’n to stir falcon fans up, but some still try to cut down this different breed of a team, when there team ain’t runn’n on all cylinders, & can’t stand that the hometown team is having success, & the ATL is lov’n it. I understand if you lived in KC for the past 40 years and moved to Atlanta 5 years ago.
I even understand you moved here 10 or 15 years ago and you love the team your father did. My question is why do you keep this hometown feeling away from your kids? You should be encouraging your kids to be fans of the hometown team where they are growing up so they can pass the tradition on.
Winning solves many problems.

I do find it interesting that yes it is annoying to have so many transplants supporting their old teams and many view it as a town that does not support its own but that is not the case at all. The fact that every time I go out I meet someone from all over the country and the world for that matter is one thing that makes this city great. Diversity is one of the greatest things about our country and very few places represent that notion better than Atlanta. Winning is the one that will convert people to support their ‘new home’. Playoff tickets will sell out quick. Your best bet is to reach out to a season ticket holder you know as we are able to buy tickets before they go on sale to the general public. Also, the date and times have not been set by the NFL yet. That will happen once they have an idea on the match ups. We will not know those until the Wild card round is completed (the weekend of January 5th). What we do know is that the Divisional game will happen at the GaDome on the weekend of January 13th with the Conference Championship games on January 20th.

The Best of the NoLa people tried to return and rebuild a better town without the criminal element. You have no understanding of the game. Just stats. You are better spectators, but the average SEC coed knows more about football than a male season ticket holder in NY, or Green Bay.
