Atlanta Falcons: Playoff tickets go on sale on Thursday

The Falcons announced that playoff tickets will go on sale to the general public on Thursday at 10 a.m.

With Saturday night’s 31-18 win over the Detroit Lions at Ford Field, the 2012 NFC South Division champion Falcons have clinched home field advantage throughout the playoffs, a first-round bye, and will be in action at the Georgia Dome during the NFC Divisional Playoff weekend (January 12 or 13).

Since 2008, the Falcons are 33-5 at home and are 7-0 at the Georgia Dome this season.

After the 2010 season, the Falcons finished 13-3 and were the NFC’s No. 1 seed for the playoffs. They were upset by Green Bay Packers 48-21 in the divisional round of the playoffs at the Georgia Dome on Jan. 15, 2011.

Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster.com, at all Ticketmaster locations, or by calling Ticketmaster at 1-800-745-3000. Single-game playoff tickets for the Divisional playoff game start at $65 and there will be an eight ticket limit per person.

I’ve been a Green Bay fan longer than there has been an Atlanta Falcon team. I think you can’t find a more polite fan base than the Packers! The road to the Superbowl is like air travel…it has to go through Atlanta! If the ‘Birds make it past the Pack, I’ll proudly wear my Matt Ryan jersey!

You still don’t get it. You are a loser if you are here and pining for a team back home. Go back home. To the guy with the big promotion to move here. Take the promotion and when that job is over in 5 to 7 years. Go home. But you don’t. Because it’s better here. If this is a better place, and it is, why not pitch in a little instead of being annoying all the time.

Oh, and for goodness sake citizens of Atlanta, give and give generously to the Sandy relief funds. Help them rebuild. If not, you know they will come here. They always come here and never leave or appreciate the hospitality. The Katrina refugees are still here and don’t seem to be hurrying back.

I am a transplant too. In Guadalajara ‘football’ is played in shorts and jerseys using a round, black and white ball.

Carz………….you are crazy.
I would NEVER abandon my home team no matter where I lived. I might get a Step-Team and support them but I would never stop being a Tech or Falcon fan no matter where I moved.

Why should I support Sandy relief? That is not my Home Town(team). I guess if you want to support Sandy Victims you should move to an area destroyed by Sandy. I mean you live in HERE so support the needy in Atlanta and Georgia. Don’t be pining for a team(town) in some other state because that makes you a LOSER.

FALCANTS' WILL LOSE 1st GAME!!!

It don’t matter. You will only be buying tickets for the very first game because there will not be any other games. The Falcants’ will lose their very first game like they ALWAYS do. Their defense is weak!

Carz you are so ignorant! First of all a refugee is a person that is NOT an AMERICAN citizen. You know it’s sort of like trailor trash like yourself…if a person comes to your area that are not trailor trash then you may refer to them as being a refugee…You are such an idiot! Get educated you bufoon!

Carz the Idiot………I would call the people of New Orleans that were forced out because of Kristina that didn’t return to rebuild anything other than REFUGEES. Well, maybe taxpayer leaches, gutter rats, walking gun range targets or criminals just not in jail yet. The Best of the NoLa people tried to return and rebuild a better town without the criminal element. The NoLa people that didn’t return(for the most part) found new cities to continue their Criminal enterprises because much of their criminal records were lost.

Go back to NYC, Boston, or whatever craphole in the northeast you came from! Don’t need anyone on the band wagon, just the true ATL fans! The NY Giant fans had alot to cheer about 2 weeks ago……they ran on the field and the everyone cheered, that was about it. Rise Up ATL!

This year is not going to be any different. Your Falcon team is not going to win the superbowl (unlike many others), and like other yall’s teams will remain being just an “average”.That is the truth about South, and its attitude. Mr. Blank, start looking!!

JJ Fad just explained it all. The transplants come to the ATL. You do not get ATL transplants going to NY, GB, and other parts in the cold, rusty north. Nuff said!!!

As a lifelong fan, I really want the Falcons to win it all this year. Of course, that remains to be seen. Meanwhile, however, let’s congratulate and celebrate this team for what it has already accomplished. After all, playoff berths are not guaranteed. The Birds have earned their fourth one in five seasons, their second top seed in three seasons. Man, you gotta love this team. I sure do.

GO FALCONS!!!

Typical of a falcons fans telling other fans 2 abandon their team since that is sop in Atlanta. Way 2 many fair weather fans in Atlanta. I love how they brag about owning the dome, zzzzzz. S I recall in the playoffs any team except the Falcants owns the team/dome. Just keep up the tradition – show up late & leave early. How has the # 1 seed worked out 4 u in the past? 48-21 ring a bell? LOL

Long time Falcon Fan, native Atlanta Georgian, and happily married to a woman from New York.

I don’t care who you root for, or where you’re from. There is plenty of room for us all in this great state. All I ask is be polite, don’t litter, and do something nice for someone in need.

Tickets go on sale tomorrow so get them while you can, because once the bokers and stub hub get their hands on them, they will be more expensive than ticketmaster.

Also, quit telling people to leave, it makes you sound like an ignorant redneck, and we have too much of that here already.

I love when people throw out the word ignorant and don’t know it’s meaning or how to even spell trailer. I’m also shocked at how many people don’t even get the point. Americans don’t read enough. NYC fan, or whatever, Frank never finished the line in his signature song. If I can’t make it there, I’m a loser but get to wear my jersey in Atlanta”.
Oh, and did some other idiot say something about the south, and football? Dude, where do you think the majority of the good players in the NFL grow up? NY? Mass? Good lord. That’s the other thing. You have no understanding of the game. Just stats. You are better spectators, but the average SEC coed knows more about football than a male season ticket holder in NY, or Green Bay.
