Atlanta Falcons: Wednesday injury report

Falcons safety William Moore (hamstring) and wide receiver Roddy White (knee) sat out practice today.

Moore has missed the past two games with his injury. White played against the Giants on Sunday to keep intact his streak of never missing a game during his career.

Participating in practice on a limited basis for the Falcons today were defensive tackle Jonathan Babineaux (ribs), wide receiver Harry Douglas (ribs), cornerback Christopher Owens (hamstring) and tackle Tyson Clabo (thigh).

Definetly do not want to hurry any players at this point, we will really need them soon enough.

With all the coaching changes, we may lose a few coaches. I just hope when they start the interview process its during the bi-week. Hate to sound negative but its going to happen.

Agree with resting Moore; it’s good to see the inter-changeability of our Dbacks with little drop off in production.

Go to the Detroit Free press and click on Sports/Lions. You won’t even find a reference to the Falcons. I’m usually on guard against teams that are coming off a hard loss, but after the Lions’ pitiful self-destruct against the Cardinals, they will be lower than low. They gave up and stopped blocking in the Cardinals game in the second half. They’re talking about next year, and what has to be done to be good then. Take the Falcons and 14 in this one, unless they make huge mistakes (fumbles, interceptions, blown coverages, etc.).

I agree, Douglas and Davis can use the reps. Get Gonzo the ball, he only needs 120 yards to give us 3 recievers with 1000 yards each. It would also be his 5th time to do it.

(reprinted without permission)

A season with three receivers each reaching 1,000 yards has happened one other time in franchise history. In 1995, Bert Emanuel, Eric Metcalf and Terance Mathis achieved 1,000-yard seasons. The total combined yards of the three receivers that season was 3,267. Through 14 games this year, the trio of Gonzalez, Jones and White has accumulated 3,107.
