Injury report: William Moore misses practice with hamstring injury

FLOWERY BRANCH — Falcons safety William Moore did not practice today with a hamstring injury.

Defensive tackle Peria Jerry (quadriceps) returned to practice and was limited.

Cornerback Asante Samuel (shoulder) did not practice and running back Michael Turner was limited by an elbow injury.

“Michael has an elbow that he sustained in the game Thursday night,” Falcons coach Mike Smith said.

Moore is coming off perhaps his best game as a pro and was named the NFC’s defensive player of the week.

Also, Moore is in the last year of his contract.

I’m pretty sure Turner will almost certainly play, and Jerry won’t be the huge game-changer. I wouldn’t blame them if they sat Asante out for this(considering how well McClain did), but we want Moore on the field. Then again, I’d rather have him against the Giants + playoffs than Panthers.

Let Turner rest and play Quizz and Snell. Heck, play Antoine Smith too. (I can dream, can’t I?)

QUESTION TO ANYONE THAT MIGHT HAVE A LEGITIMATE RESPONSE?????

Exactly why don’t the Falcons “at least” try Antoine Smith to see what he can actually do in a game situation????? One of those things that make you go WTF…why not?????? There are several NFL teams that successfully utilize 3 or 4 different RBs in a game.

I just wish one of the Atlanta sports journalist would ask Smitty the question during an interview…..PLEASE!!!!!

Coach Smith is letting Willy Mo rest. He’ll play. No way he misses this game.

Willie Mo is a good safety…when he’s healthy. What the heck are these trainers doing? It’s called preventive conditioning. Also, we need to bust the Panthers in the mouth this weekend for Greg Hardy talking that ish!!! Koetter and the OL better have a plan to manhandle the Kitties and not Ryan get sacked another 7 times in ONE game.

Sick & Tired I hear ya. Smitty is has his favorites. How can you explain not using ALL talent on your team and sticking with that old philosophy of playing the same people all the time. He’s just now letting Jacquizz play more than Cheeseburger.

RB Antoine Smith has fumbleitic and if I didn’t spell that right .He fumbles the ball to much and Coach Smith want let him out of his dog house ‘just sayin’ that the only reason I can think of. Other than he don’t know the protections in the back field and they are not going to let duos get hurt Not at this stage of the game.

A.Smith doesn’t have any fumbles this season. In fact, he has ZERO touches this year.

Moore is too valuable to lose in our secondary. Don’t play him! Let him rest this week. We won’t need him to beat these clowns.

Hate S.smith…hate Newton. Both are punks with attitudes. We need to lay them both out.

Close this game out – get they bye – then rest the starters for one game to get them healed up. There is a light at the end of the tunnel.

I agree. We need to rest some these guys and get ready for the Super Bowl run. We can beat Carolina with the practice squad.
