November 29, 2012 - Atlanta, Ga: The Atlanta Falcons safety Thomas DeCoud (28) jumps on the back of safety William Moore after Moore's first of two interceptions in their 23-13 win over the New Orleans Saints at the Georgia Dome Thursday night in Atlanta, Ga., November 29, 2012. JASON GETZ / JGETZ@AJC.COM
Moore posted one of the best games of his career.
The Falcons defense intercepted Saints’ quarterback Drew Brees five times and held him without a touchdown pass for the first time in 54 games to snap his NFL record streak.
Moore’s second interception of the game came on the Saints final drive sealing the win for Atlanta and putting the Falcons in position to clinch their second NFC South title under Head Coach Mike Smith.
According to coaches’ breakdown, Moore has tallied a team-high 105 tackles (74 solo) with eight passes defensed, four tackles for loss, four interceptions and one sack.
His four interceptions are the second most he’s had in a season and rank tied for fourth among all safeties this season.
He is the first Falcon to win NFC defensive player of the week honors since cornerback Brent Grimes in Week 15 of the 2010 season.

Season awards mean squat. The only thing I want him to earn is a Super Bowl trophy.

Hey Blue Fender…Nice Attitude?!! Give the man his props. We all want a SB Einstein (he said with sarcasm) but maybe the season awards will keep morale high and motivate his teammates to achieve that honor as well. BTW weren’t you employee of the month at Burger King? …and we all congratulated you

Not only did he have 13 tackles, at least 7 of them were delivered with bad intentions, knocking out mouthpieces, knocking off helmets, etc. I enjoyed watching him play more than anyone else on the field. Moore is now my favorite Falcon!

The squirrel has been feasting pretty well this season. Who’s your team anyway? Unless they’re the Texans, I can say that the Falcons have done better than them this season.
