Atlanta Falcons: Offense to be ready for Tampa Bay’s kneel down attacks

FLOWERY BRANCH – The Falcons plan to be ready if the Buccaneers try to rush their victory formation on Sunday.

Earlier this season, the Bucs, under former college coach Greg Schiano, caused a stir when they attacked the New York Giants kneel down formation and hit quarterback Eli Manning.

“Absolutely,” offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter said when asked if the Falcons are ready for a kneel down attack. “It’s on film. They’ve proven that they are going to play hard every play and we’ve got to be ready to do that same.”

Koetter is impressed with Tampa Bay’s front-seven.

“Their whole front is relentless,” Koetter said. “These guys don’t quit until they hear the whistle. They play extremely hard. That jumps right off the tape at you. This is going to be a team, for us to be successful, we’re going to have to out-work their front.”

As far as the kneel down . . .

“I hope we get in that situation,” Koetter said. “That’s a good situation to be in. That’s our favorite play.”

I’m pretty sure that the fal can’ts will be in their hurry up offense the last two minutes of this game, and as the clock goes to zero, throwing their desperation hail mary pass.

Estimated that there will be approximately 5,000 Falcons fans in Tampa at Raymond James on Sunday. Make the drive down and join the party cheering the team to victory and celebrating the Falcons’ win after the game. GO FALCONS!!!!!

We are proud of your achievement, graduation from Archbishop Chapelle Girls High School in Metairie is a real honor. Does your momma still like it down there in Metairie? Did she mind you were still in high school until you were 25?

Good, now we can discuss this game on Sunday.

I think the Falcons will need at least 120 rushing yards to keep control of the clock and burn some time. Let’s get back to our ball-control offense and stuff it down their throats!

So what is Koetter going to have to counter the Bucs relentless attack? I hope it’s not the same game plan he had for the Arizona game–because that was a whack azz conservative offense with no creativity. The Mularkey play book is rubbing off on Koetter.

Well, instead of taking a knee, if we get in that position, just hand the ball off tackle to Turner! Basically the same thing, right?!!!

@Chuck Shick: I just wish they would get a room. I want to hear some football, not this bickering between another teams fans vs Falcon fans. That is so boring. Please guys, let’s try to keep it about football.

I believe in freedom of speach, but maybe D-Led can strike some of the nonsense, especially when they get to going back and forth. Anybody agree?

Go Falcons!
