081612 ATLANTA: Falcons 14 year veteran center Todd McClure leads the team on to the field to play the Bengals at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta on Thursday, August 16, 2012. CURTIS COMPTON / CCOMPTON@AJC.COM
Cardinals NT Dan Williams vs. Falcons C Todd McClure: Williams, a stout run stuffer at 6-foot-3, 327 pounds, sets the point of the Cardinals’ 3-4 defense. Williams, a first-round pick in 2010, has 14 tackles, one forced fumble and one quarterback hit. McClure went on a rant last week after the Falcons’ short-yardage offense was stuffed. The line could scratch out only 15 yards for Michael Turner on 13 carries.
Cardinals CB Patrick Peterson vs. vs. Falcons WR Roddy White: Peterson has 29 tackles and three interceptions and has forced one fumble. He is not a strong tackler at times and will shy away from contact. With Julio Jones’ status to be decided shortly before kickoff, Peterson likely will spend most of his day on White, who has 54 catches for 823 yards and four touchdowns.
Cardinals LT Nate Potter vs. Falcons DE John Abraham: Potter took over for D’Anthony Batiste during the second quarter of the Cardinals’ game at Green Bay on Nov. 4. The former Boise State standout will make his first NFL start against the NFL’s current active sack leader. Abraham played only 52 percent of the defensive snaps against New Orleans. The Falcons are using him more as a stand-up linebacker in their hybrid 3-4/4-3 defenses.

This will NOT be a gimmie game. Have to impose our will on them.
But the only going the Cardinals will be doing is back to the airport after the loss.

Buddy Landel – My favorite Cardinal was Johnny Roland!! He was stud! Bobby Moore (before he changed his name to Ahmad Rashad) was another good Cardinal!

“McClure went on a rant”…………….? You’re gonna stick with that rant stuff ay? That’s the problem with writers, nobody is there to revoke their narrative license when it’s warranted. I mean even your editor is as proud as a daddy of a newborn baby when the truth is ssssstttttrrrrrreeeeetttttccccchhhhhheeeeeddddd. I already looked up rant once and I didn’t even need to then, it wasn’t a rant.

Wasn’t it Abraham that Ivory sidestepped right by, on his 56 yard run? Think it was.
