Roddy White doesn’t credit Saints with the win, Falcons ‘gave’ it to them

NEW ORLEANS – Falcons wide receiver Roddy White didn’t gave the Saints any credit  after their 31-27 win over the Falcons on Sunday.

When asked what did it say about the Falcons that they couldn’t beat a 3-5 Saints team, White said, “It doesn’t say much about us about us. I think we had opportunities today. It’s not like they came out here and just. … I feel like we kind of gave it away. We just gave it to them. It wasn’t nothing they did. It was want we did in not cashing in on opportunities. We play them against in three weeks and we’ll be ready. It will be at the Dome and hopefully we’ll beat them that time.”

White was the intended receiver on the Falcons’ fourth down pass attempt that Saints cornerback Jabari Greer deflected with 1:46 left to play.

“He made a heck of play,” White said. “He came underneath. He read it right. He dove in there and knocked it down. Good play by him.”

Play calling in that last 1:46 made the difference…..hes right it was given away…by the Offensive play caller…whoever that was

I agree with White….the Falcons beat themselves….bad play calls at the end and dropping the ball. Atlanta is still proud of you….

4BsihTneeS, I have to agree…this was more about the Falcons blowing several golden opportunities. There was no excuse for not getting in on three straight plays from the 1 and 2 yd line.

We could have had a 14-0 lead 3 minutes into the game…..if that pathetic knot-head would have kept his emotions under control and not went into victory dance like the Falcons had just won the Super Bowl or something! That 15 yard penalty was HUGH! Smith should dock that puke a whole game check for costing us those 15 yards! Why didn’t he act like he was going to intercept a few more passes in his career….rather than that was going to be his last one? Our secondary, though better than years past, is still flawed. But then EVERYBODY’S secondary is flawed! They have to be the dumbest of all football players! Could be the hits they take….could be a lack of schooling…..could just be the tattoo ink!

Falcons did a great job this past year of making sure we had a physical front line! Great job on punching them in the nose from the one yard line! I keep saying it over and over but Turner is done and our line is STILL not physical enough to wind a playoff game.

I concur that the play calling in the last 2 minutes left a lot to be desired. Way too predictable……especially when we called running plays! When was the last time we called a pitch out? Seems like we are content to just run up the middle….even though everybody in the stadium…..including the opposing team…..knows that’s what we are going to do!

Turner is a team KILLER.

Flacons must come up with something other than a run up the middle on short yardage situations. Swing it outside, pull some blockers, just do something more creative than Turner up the middle, it is getting them nowhere. How about a bootleg by Ryan at the goal line?

Mike Smith needs to stop clinging to Turner…Samuel gets the int then we settle for another fieldgoal instead of going up by two scores…Dumb penalty by Samuel but dumber play calling by Smith and Co. this game…Why so conservative?

Turner stays hiding behind the Oline until a hole cracks open but we do not have that type of line anymore…Smith’s infatuation with Turner will cost us a playoff game…

49 yards on the ground says it all. Thats a horrible stat for a squad with the backs they have. The o line should be embarrassed for their play today.

Lets call this game “shoulda, woulda, coulda”. Champions alleviate the mistakes that cause a sway in momentum, they come through in crunch time and excuses are not a viable commodity. The Falcons will learn from this and continue forward.

If it wasn’t your time last year, with a first round bye, home field advantage, and the best record in the NFC, THERE WILL NEVER BE A TIME! 2 points in the playoffs!? Really? Don’t let the 8-1 record fool you. The falcons played their first real team today…and lost! We let up in the second half, For some dumbazz reason, but we still held y’all off! Why? Because the falcons are fake.

Julio needs to learn how to play through bumps and bruises. I think this would have been a different game if he was out there for the full 4 quarters.

I think it is time for both McClure and Turner to go. In Turner’s defense, it is hard to get going when the defense is knifing in the backfield constantly. With that being said, he is just not elusive enough to play behind this finesse line. Time to give Antone Smith, Snelling, and Rodgers more carries.

Kroy Biermann is pathetic. Him and his green contacts. He has no pass rush moves whatsoever. He rushed up the field every time, allowing Brees to just step up in the pocket. For the most part, our defensive line was MIA all day.

Roddy how about you shut the F up! Play with some heart and stop being a bunch of finesse pu$$ies. NO will always beat this team with the ultra conservative Mike Smith at the helm who insists on running Turner when he’s a has been. If you have to throw for 500 yds against the worst pass defense team in the NFL then do it. Matt Ryan still has flash backs of premature panic anytime he’s under pressure. He threw the ball way too early today and was not accurate on the last two throws to TG and Roddy in the end zone. Do we even want to talk about the tackling of this team? Willie Mo needs to learn to focus on tackling instead of rapping, Decoud well he went back to himself, and Dunta still chasin from behind. Just when you think this team has turned a corner they prove all the pundits right…they haven’t really changed. Same mediocre players with different coordinators that Smitty will always overrule. Oh well, it’s one game–but I knew this team was overachieving.

No one wants to say it, so I will, we are still 8-1. The problem in the running game isn’t MICHAEL TURNER. Todd McClure, oh Mudduck, no longer is capable of getting any push at the poing of attack.

Todd Mclure is a great veteran player, he just is unable to get any forward push at the line of scrimmage anymore. Age catches up to all of us, and Todd McClure is no different. He is old, and has become ineffective in the run game. However, he is fantastic at making line adjustments.
