Konz getting it done! A lot of the runs were towards his side last night. Now only if we can get Holmes in there.
Congrats to Biermann for taking Rays spot. Props to McClain as well.

Hoping that Ewing is healing up ok. Polite cant block or catch.
Oh yeah, Dent filled in pretty well. Besides some shoddy tackling, but the entire defense is guilty of that.

The whole first half was pretty bad. Couldn’t run, couldn’t block, couldn’t catch. On Defense, couldn’t tackle and Dunta…….well all know what Dunta capable of.
But in the second half….. Noland and Koeter are incredible and the player executed. Great game by a great team!

Nice to see Ray Edwards making a difference. Sidbury isn’t touching the field either. I’m guessing the D-line will be the emphasis come next April.

Both Falcons’ lines, O-Line and the D-Line, need to be the focus during the draft. Did you notice the difference in the size of the Dallas O-Line and D-Line players? I do believe that might be the reason that the lines struggle. We need more beef on both lines, e.g., Lamar Holmes, etc.
Based on Ray Edwards’ playing time, it appears that he won’t be around next year unless he can turn it around for the last half of the season.

full-time salary at biggest paper in the city, blog covering billion dollary industry:
less formatting effort than if i had taken a dump into spread sheet, except without the spread sheet.
the energy saved in publishing this data, without a moment to organize them into a coherent, legible format, to the paper’s falcons blog isn’t worth the hit to the oh-so tenuous veneer of professionalism that ought to appear around this falcons blog.
please, either do a GREAT JOB, or don’t bother. (apparently there is no management or quality control at the AJC, that’s been outsourced to complaining readers)

Ray Edwards has been a complete bust as a Falcon, the rest of the teams needs to ride him into the ground until he shows up !!

Stephen Nicholas was out for the Raiders game and Sean Weatherspoon was out for this one, yet Robert James didn’t get a single snap on defense. This is in spite of the team having only five total LBs on the roster.
Apparently our coaching staff has little faith in him and is keeping him around purely for special teams work, much like Shann Schillinger the last two seasons.
I’m beginning to suspect that the defensive coaches have quietly been cross-training any or all of Lawrence Sidbury, Jonathan Massaquoi and Cliff Matthews to play linebacker and that one of them might become our next OLB if a second starter got banged up.

If we can some how figure out how to get consistent pressure on the QB we will be able to beat anybody. There are plenty examples of teams winning the Superbowl with an average defense, but I would feel much better if we could dial up the pressure more.
