Too cute (not). Andrew Siciliano at NFL Network bowed to the Falx fan pressure for “no respect” on emails by saying, “Oh, we may only talk about other teams, but we do respect you.”
Andrew, think of it this way. Next time you are stuck in line at the Dept of Motor Vehicles, and your # that is in the top 3 keeps getting called less than hangers on ~ #s lower than the twelve likely to make the playoffs, let me tell you that feels like no respect… and the fact you are going to be waiting for your tags until January.
I hope you think of this analogy next time you attempt to slough us off, and go sit yourself back in the hard chair. BTW, ARE you separated-at-birth from VP candidate Paul Ryan?

In the past, if we beat the Cowboys, our entire season was considered a success, even if we we lost every other game. This year all we care about is, Who’s next? I don’t see another team in the NFL that even comes close to us. Can you believe Matt Ryan didn’t make the NFL networks “Top 100″ list, an now they are talking MVP. If they were to, unfortunatly lose a play off game, it wouldn’t matter to me, because I know who the best team is. GO FALCONS!!!

Losing in the playoffs is never a happy moment. Of course there’s reason to be unhappy. No matter the record, no matter the past, true Falcons fans should always support their team. Let the team know Atlanta will ALWAYS be behind them. No more booing our team in the last game of the season. No more leaving a game early. Let them know we will stand up the entire game and yell as loud as we can if that helps our Falcons win. The Atlanta Falcons need its fans to rise up! Prove to the NFL and all of the so called experts, that the Atlanta Falcons are for real!

This is by far the best Falcon team in the history of the franchise. They are the most complete in all three phases. We have a superior coaching staff to any NFL franchise and probably the smartest, tactical, and best talent scout in the league with Dimitrof. What is not to love about this team? No one has crystal ball to predict the future, but based on the past 8 games, there is no reason to believe this team cannot beat any team in the NFL and go deep into the Post Season.

As a former collegiate football start for my respected university I can seeit in their eyes this team is playing for The City of Atlanta’s approval. So we as fans should show our appreciation back believe in OUR team Red & Black till we die. DBlock , Red Hat, Falcons Forever. Durty Burd World Rule

Ive been a hardcore Falcons fan since I was 13 years old and I havent been this excited for the Falcons in a long time. But although we are doing well in the regular season I cant help but feel worried for the post season. As we have seen in Atlanta sports we are good in the regular season we just have terrible post seasons. The Hawks round 2 ceiling, the Braves not meeting usual expectation, the Falcons not quite living up to their potential. But this year I feel good things coming. I want their to be a winning tradition here in Atlanta. I want to proudly say I am a Falcons fan like my friends and I. We will take it past the post season, we will make the Superbowl. Rise Up.

I think any time your football team get’s national attention that has to be a good thing. I look at the talent on this team and if theirs no major injuries, I believe they can go deep into the playoffs.

I’m delighted to see the Falcons 8-0 and out in front for a potential home field advantage, but here’s the unavoidable truth: the national and local skepticism isn’t going away, at least for now. Right now the Falcons are playing loose and are, much like the Braves during the 1990s, going through the regular season schedule as almost a formality. They ARE a very good football team; not perfect, but much improved from last year.
But they know that they could go 16-0 and it wouldn’t matter to fans or the national media; if they don’t win at least one playoff game their season will be deemed a failure. Is that fair? Whether it is or not, the real challenge for both the coaching staff and every member of this team will be not to succumb to that immense pressure whenever (and whomever) they end up playing in the playoffs. To do so would invite playing scared, making mental mistakes they haven’t all season (sound familiar?), and very likely making yet another early exit.
This Falcons team is good enough to win the Superbowl if they stay healthy and can keep the pressure not to fail at bay. And the longer they’re able to fly under the radar this season, the better it will be for them. They know the real test begins in January, regardless.

Myself and those Falcon fans around me know all to well the disappoint of Falcons past. But here is the difference. Rankin Smith Falcons vs Arthur Blank Falcons. Since Blank purchased this team there has been a steady rise to present performance. The Smith Falcons had there moments especially with Dan Reeves one of the best hires. And throw out the disaster of 2007 as depression set in watching Byron Leftwich do his JaMarcus Russell imitation moving like his feet were tied together. I don’t have to buy into these Falcons, I am all in. Why be hesitant? This is the best ride I’ve ever been on as a Falcon fan. Sure, I want a Super Bowl win but no matter what happens during the balance of the season we won’t forget 2012.

The biggest difference with this Falcons team is coaching. The coordinators are excellent at game planning and making adjustments. The Falcons teams of the past decade always have been outcoached in big games but I don’t see that happening with this crew. The Giants game in December and the Playoffs will be the true test. Go Falcons!

ANYONE thats got ANYTHING bad to say about this years team has not been a Falcon fan for very long. In the Smith ownership years the Falcons were just a look see what I got toy for a rich man and his family that could care less about putting a winning team on the field. Thank god for Blank. We knew he was new to the football world and would make some F-ups but he has shown us that no matter wht he is hell bent on building a winner year in and year out in Atlanta. let them rasie the Hotel /Motel tax to 10% and let the out of towners buy our new dome. When you look at how they play, wearing down opposing teams, making few mistakes, striving to just control the game and always be in a position to dictate the outcome at the final drive; and when you consider just how effective they have been, it’s hard not to think this team has the make up of a champion. They don’t care about lighting up the scoreboard, and they don’t care about inflating the stat sheet. But they are the best team in football of imposing their will on the other team, and time after time they emerge victorious.
I am excited about this team.

It’s amazing, look at the pay back factor: Andy Reid for bringing in Viceroy Ichiban Cooter Kooter in our dome a few years back, and the demise himself of Viceroy Ichiban Cooter Kooter, quite deserving. And then a pay back to the Caints for the piece of granite outside the Superdome, for general purposes, and because we don’t like them. It’s gonna be a pummeling.

We got disrespected in 1998 all the way to the NFC CHAMPIONSHIP game when we were a 14 point underdog to the VIKINGS remember? If it wasnt for the EUGENE ROBINSON thing and us only gettin a week to prfepare for the Broncos I think we coulda pulled off a Superbowl win that yr. The magic ran out the night before the game.

As a Falcon lifer (fan since 1974), I can say that Mike Smith’s\Dimitroff’s Falcons are unlike any Falcons we have ever rooted for. Sure, there were a few good years sprinkled in under some other regimes, but these Falcons bring a level of excellence and consistency never before seen. The playoff losses have been disappointing, but it is only a matter a time before these Birds get some playoff wins. I suspect it will be this year.

I have been a DIE HARD Falcoholic since 1997. Every single year, game, quarter, and play I have had the utmost confidence that we will succeed. I get tired of the fairweather fans that are around our city and believe that if you are a fan of a team, you should be a fan through the good and the bad. I am absolutely PUMPED about this season, have already been to 2 games which is hard on my salary. Every Sunday if I am not at the game, I am awake bright and early grilling food and inviting friends over for the game. I have countless Falcons items, have a Falcons food blog, and at one point had the logo shaved in my head. If you are not excited for this season or any other that follows then DO NOT consider yourself a fan of the Atlanta Falcons!!!! I will continue to support all my Atlanta teams, but the Atlanta Falcons have been there for me since I was a child. I will continue to give them my support no matter what the outcome!
